Try the Ginger and Curry chicken, delicious! And the WonTon Soup is so yummy. Love the BYOB. Not the greatest décor, but the food makes it worth the trip

This place is fantastic! Great for eat in, and even better for take out which is a rarity for Asian food. We love the pan fried noodles with chicken and the beef with string beans. So good!!! Love that it is BYOB. Also cash only so be prepared!

After reading the reviews I was looking forward to trying. Didn’t find it authentic and found it to be bland. What I had was find but would not recommend or return.

I had the boneless pork ribs and was not entirely impressed — would not recommend them. The women in my party loved their fried noodles. The soups were fresh and everything is visibly made from scratch, which is rare these days and a big plus for me. The BYOB arrangement makes for a really inexpensive dinner experience. I have not paid less than $ 30 for a family dinner as long as I can remember. We will definitely be back and try some of the other dishes that people recommended here.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for 25 years. The owner is a very gentle man who remembers his customers and what they like. BYOB and cash only. The food is outstanding and very consistent. My favorites arw spring rolls(#2), Saigon Pancake(#9 — appetizers) and chicken pineapple(#73) which I always order hot. You order by number and by how spicy you want your dish. The cuisine is very light and differnt. The Saigon pancake is bean sprouts in a light pancake crust that is served ona bed of lettuce with cucumbers. And the prices are very reasonable! Cant go wrong!

The only restaurant in Millis worth eating at(with the exception of Isabella’s, but that’s just a quick sandwich place). It may not look like much, but the food is excellent. And it’s BYOB so by the end of the meal you’re full and you haven’t spent too much money. It is cash only — so be sure to hit the ATM before going. I recommend the Chicken Skewers to start with and the Chicken Curry as an entrée. Delicious!

This was one of the most awful eating out experiences I’ve had in a long time. As someone who knows authentic Asian and Vietnamese food very well, this is embarrassing. First: their fillet haddock was so obviously from a box and when the waiter was asked what brand it was he went into an instantly defensive state saying that we did not know what we were talking about. Second: authentic Vietnamese beef, sauce, veggies and shrimp lacked any kind of flavor and resembled no Asian dish I’ve ever had. Nothing more than beef stew. Third: nowhere in this establishment does it say cash only, Something I would have liked to know before I sat down, ate, and received the check for my pre– cooked frozen market food. Thankfully they had an atm at the gas station up the street. Fourth: when we asked for shrimp in our soup appetizer he said this could not be done! What kind of place that serves shrimp in half of their menu options can’t simply add a few shrimp to a soup. Sounds like everything on their menu is pre made and kept frozen and just thrown in a microwave or stove before brought out(following suit with the frozen fillet haddock). If you know what real authentic Asian food is, stay away from here. If you want something you can find in the frozen food isle at stop and shop, and then pay someone to microwave it for you, enjoy this illusion of quality Asian dining.

I spent time in Vietnam, traveled the country from North to South, Ive had Vietnamese all over the US… this was greasy which is NOT something I never run into with Vietnamese food. I didn’t even finish it. Sad. Cause I LOVE Vietnamese food.

Excellent food and service. Very fresh and authentic. Love the lemon grass chicken and shrimp with basil and asparagus. Haven’t had a bad thing out of everything I’ve ordered.

Just your average Vietnamese. The décor is boring. Nothing fancy. However, the food is good and inexpensive.

We have been going to Saigon Restaurant for years with more visits to it than any other restaurant. The food is great, excellent service, the prices low and BYOB. It’s got it all. Try the wonton soup and spring rolls for starters. Then use your imagination. The food is flavorful but not hot(as in spicy hot). We had dinner there with someone recently who could not tolerate spicy food and she loved it. BUT I believe you can ask them to kick it up a notch and they will accommodate. They take reservations but not credit cards so bring cash! The host/owner(Minh) is as good as they come. This restaurant has a very loyal following. Come see for yourself.

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. It’s easy to know that because our son is 25 and my wife would crave this food when she was pregnant with him. The owner, Minh, is very customer oriented and he has a system that works for him and he stays with it. We love the cabbage salad with crushed nuts and sauce. Lots of good items on the menu and as mentioned by others, know that cash is king. If he knows you, he will take a check, but don’t go in expecting to drop the Amex down for a party of 10; its not that kind of place. BYOB is great. You can enjoy a relaxing meal with exactly what you want to drink and the restaurant will provide you with wine or beer glasses and openers. We walk in with a cooler and friends and setup shop like we are camping in Blackwoods campground in Bar Harbor. This is family owned and operated. They are a well known local spot but we travel from Wrentham which is a 30 minute drive, and pass a hundred other places to eat on the way. I like it; I like the owner, and we’ve watched his children grow up and now their children are working in the restaurant when it’s really busy. They work hard and run with the program that works for them and if that works for you, you’ll find a match made in heaven. Never had a bad meal here and always enjoy it and even get take-out here from time to time. My wife is a plant based nutritionist so she’s very particular about what she gets and she always is happy. There’s something here for everybody but don’t come in with an attitude, and don’t come in with a credit card expecting it to work.

I love this place. BYOB, Cash only, but some amazing food. Try the rice noodles with spring rolls. I wasn’t a huge fan of the spare ribs, but that’s just my flavor preference. I wish it had more spice. The Crispy Scallops are absolutely my favorite here.

First of all, Minh is probably one of the most gracious hosts at any restaurant I have ever been too. It’s not«true» Vietnamese, as I suspect they had to tone it down due to the demographics. Let’s face it, I’m not sure traditional Vietnamese would fly in Millis, but if you ask Minh for something in particular, he will definitely make it for you. The food itself is really good(#66, #72, #2, etc) and it is BYOB, which keeps the bill low. I would recommend, but would warn that it is more of a pan asian type restaurant as opposed to Vietnamese.

This is by far the saddest Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to. If you’re familiar with any Vietnamese restaurant, you’d know phở is a staple. The fact that my husband and I walked in and ordered a phở, they said they don’t have that. It’s not in their menu. I give them one star for trying to attempt the noodle soup. They basically pulled some noodle soup with a few pieces of beef and called it a day. It was the most pathetic bowl of «phở» I’ve ever had. We also had thei egg rolls. It’s nothing special. To top it off. We didn’t know it was cash only until the bill came so my husband had to find an ATM. Best be sure we’re never returning.

3 stars for the service 2 stars for the food Service: They were very accommodating, to switch up all the bean sprouts/onions/scallions for some other vegetables such as carrots and cucumbers. Food: so greasy and mostly bland. — The pancake appetizer was loaded with grease. Ugh. — The spring rolls were tasty but again, drowned in grease. — The chicken with udon noodle soup was so bland with a few pieces of shredded chicken, almost like dish water. — The cold rice noodle with pork dish was bland and the pork pieces were dried and flavorless. — The pork fried rice was bland and the pork pieces were dried and flavorless. — The curry squid was very flavorful, but the rice that came with it was dried(almost like re-cooked old rice). We drove almost 20minutes to get here. I would rather drive twice the distance to go to Worcester Dalat or Phở Dakao.

We have been here many times over many years and it is always good. It is place where we often gather a group because it pleases everyone. I find the help congenial. The service may not be fast, but we have enjoyed not being hurried. I hate when wait staff seem to hover waitig for the plates. We linger, share dishes, pass them around again, take pictures and chat until we feel ready to leave.

Saigon is pretty awesome. If you dont know what to get, Ming, the owner, will give you awesome suggestions. I like the pancake, the asparagus and crab soup, and the curry(74). At one point, Ming gave me a togo menu and circle the dishes that he recommends, so I wont forget. =) I like that it’s BYOB, last time we were there, we made sangria in advance, haha. Also gotta remember that it’s cash only.

I’ve driven by the place a million times and never saw it. After the 3rd person to tell me «you have to go there» I gave it a try. It’s not going to get stars on ambiance or décor, but that doesn’t matter when the food is excellent, made with fresh veggies and ingredients AND is sooo reasonably priced. The first time I went we were a group of 4, ordered what seemed like a bajillion different dishes to try, and our check before tip was under $ 50. FORDINNER. I have been back since a few times in just a couple months. The owner is always there, he even waits on tables. And he is not shy to tell you what you should order, just gives you his honest opinion. I am so glad I found this place, I’m planning on trying everything on the menu. ;) p. s. the below info is correct, it’s BYOB and Cash only. Don’t complain, or they’d prob raise their prices if they took anything else.
