First off, we were greeted by a server with rotten teeth, that spoke too quickly — like she was missing out on a deal from her heroin/crack dealer. I felt like we were back at the Cracker Barrel off of 95 in Georgia. Very difficult to continue to have an appetite when someone is looking at you with green and missing teeth.15 minutes after our under cooked meal came out and still no sign of our green toothed waitress, I had to get up to tell the hostess that our steak was still breathing on our plate and we had no beverages to wash down the blood. 30 minutes later, we had our food cooked to «medium», but we had still not seen our waitress. She finally came by in time for the bill to be paid, and offered a free desert. Sorry chickie, but your lack of attentiveness, and your lack of oral hygiene has forever scarred my desire to eat at your restaurant… let alone indulge in Key Lime Pie.

«Bön Appetite” — Julia Child I hadn’t been to Texas Longhorn for years and decided today to go for lunch. I remember from my first dining experience not being so turned on by the menu but I decided for whatever reason to give their lunch a shot and I’m happy I did. I went with my sister the décor was casual, quiet, clean like you would expect it to be. We ordered the Blue crab bites as an Appetizer since it was a limited item on their menu, and the little suckers were pretty tasty. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Avocado sandwich. It was a lunch special and came with a salad or soup of choice. So I got the spring mix with Balsamic dressing, personally wish they would’ve given me a cup on the side with my dressing instead of putting it on my salad because I tend not to use all the dressing they give but it was no biggie. Me and her meals combined came out to $ 28. Not to shabby, I would def do lunch again at this spot. The staff was friendly and they tended me and my sis well. When we asked our waitress about specials and meal ideas she was resourceful and direct.

Going in on a Saturday night i knew service would be slow but never would imagine the wait for one cheese burger and a rare steak and fries. I seen table after table seated after me eating while i waited picking at the stale bread that a prisoner wouldn’t even eat. After an hour and 25 mins of waiting we finally received our food COLD. I am convinced our waitress forgot about our food since all i seen her do was standing in the corner taking it up with other wait staff. The attempted to cover up the fact that our food was cold by putting some hot fries on top of frozen fries.

Love the food– Love the nice friendly people, and love the quiet ambiance. If you want a rowdy place then go elsewhere. Steaks as always cooked EXACTLY as they’re ordered. Overall a good place to go.

Never again! I had seafood poisoning for 5 days and when I told them that I got sick from their food they didn’t even care. I ordered steak and lobster when I bit into my lobster it wasn’t even cooked I couldn’t tell because the restaurant was dark. I went to spit out the Lobster and it slid down I got sick right then and there. I told the manager he took it back and came back to tell me that the cook thought the other cook had cooked it. For real when lobster is raw it’s black when it’s cooked it’s red. The manager never apologized or took it off my bill. I wouldn’t even give it one star but I didn’t have an option.

I wish I could give a positive review, but I did not even have the opportunity to sit down and eat. My wife had gone to the ladies room while waiting for a hostess for more than 10 minutes. We had been seen by many employees and even asked the bus boy for help. When the hostess eventually appeared she asked to seat the people behind me. Unbelievable horrible customer service.

Great steak cooked to perfection. Staff friendly over all. Mashed potatoes taste great and always smooth and delicious. Last visit encountered a slight problem and the waiter Micheal quickly addressed and resolved it. The Manager Brian went above and beyond to make sure everything was satisfactory. Great atmoshpere, good service, and tasty food.

We ate there on a busy Saturday night. I was with a group of 12. The service was outstanding. They were very attentive. This was a pleasurable experience.

Come here when we visit the racetrack. Usually a heavy wait for dinner but we hang out at the bar. This time they told us a 25 min wait which ended up being 50 min. The salad came drenched in dressing. The main course was ok and typical for a chain. Me and a friend had the Outlaw Ribeye and it was cooked to proper temperature. Food seemed to take quite a bit of time to come out though.

Steak salad is spicy and best item on the menu. Service is hit or miss. Takeout is also hit or miss — check your order fully before leaving as they forget and mix up more then is acceptable.

Been here a few times and the service and food have been great each and every time. The beer seems to be fresh and they have clean lines on their draft products. The food is cooked the way you ask every time and they are more than happy to return an item that you are not satisfied with. My only complaint about this place is their non-booth seating is cramped and annoying. Request a booth and enjoy your dinner(or lunch).

I go here all the time. We ate here this week and the experience was probably the worst I have had so far. There was a huge table of guys near us that our waitress was taking care of so we were kind of ignored. Our food was, eh ok. I had a glass of wine and saw the waitress so little I never had the opportunity to order another. What really sent me over the edge was when I was putting the plates up near the edge of the table so she could see she could take them away and give us our check I found my plate had old, hard, mashed potatoes encrusted to the entire bottom. I am not sure how the kitchen didn’t notice that when plating nor how she didn’t feel it when picking up the plate to serve us. I was grossed out and not pleased. It was the rotten cherry on top of a meh experience.

How does a steak house run out of baked potatoes? My son and his girlfriend brought us here for dinner. First hint that this place was not for me was that they don’t take reservations. They do allow you to «call 30 minutes ahead» which we did. We arrived on a Saturday night to find the place jammed. To their credit we were seated in less than 10 minutes. That’s when the problems began. While our waitress was very nice and efficient the rest of our dinner was not too good. They were out of two appetizers(that we know of) so we ordered their fried onion and taco rolls. Both were quite good. When it came time for our steaks, we were told they were out of baked potatoes. A well run steak house should NEVER run out of two things: 1-steaks and 2-baked potatoes. That bad enough. We substituted mashed potatoes. They were awful. Almost runny and worse yet were lathered in butter which was hard to see in the dim light. YUCK! Our table had two strip steaks which were tough to the point of being inedible. The one filet we got was tender but lacked flavor. Right across the street is the Texas Roadhouse which serves good steaks in a shabby atmosphere and here at Lone Star you have good atmosphere(cheesy cowboy) and bad steaks. Perhaps a merger would be in order. Manager was clueless — offered us one dessert on the house for our inconvenience.

Great service, inconsistent food. My wife and I have eaten here several times. Sometimes the food is great, but other times, not so much. Unfortunately the overcooked steaks I’ve sent back, or the dried out rack of ribs I most recently order have stood out in my mind a lot more than the good meals I’ve had there. If I based my rating on just my last meal there, three stars would be ridiculously high. It looks like my we’re going to take a break from this restaurant for a while and hopefully the kitchen will get itself together.

I’ve eaten at Longhorn Steakhouses in different towns and states and have experienced much better food quality. My husband and I have had to get the manager more than once because the Renegade steak we ordered was full of fat and gristle and very little meat that could be salvaged from it or we order it medium and it comes out well done(this has happened quite often there). The service, on the other hand, is great. The waitstaff and hosts were all friendly and the managers were all willing to help rectify problems with our meal. When I’m paying for a steak, I expect to be able to eat most of it. This is the only one of the Longhorns I’ve eaten at where meat quality has been an issue.

I was very happy to see Longhorn roll into town. The food is great and the service is terrific too. I usually get the same thing when i go there, which is the porterhouse and in the winter time the chili is superb! It’s a very comfortable place to eat, thank god it’s not«root’n toot’n» loud like the place across the street. I find the prices reasonable but i have to admit everything i have had at Longhorn has been pretty much perfect. I only go there 4 – 5 times a year, but i definately get my money’s worth. Nice job to everyone who works over there!

Our area does not have a lot of casual dining. A few years ago Texas Roadhouse opened. We were very surprised when the shopping across the street was developed and the first restaurant put in was another steakhouse. We would have preferred an Italian place. Anyhow, Longhorn is good. It’s a typical casual steakhouse without the peanut shells on the floor. I suppose it is slightly more upscale than its competitor. I usually order a filet when I dine here. While nothing fancy, Longhorn cooks their steaks expertly. I very much appreciate that. We have had the spicy Firecracker Chicken Wraps a couple times. I like the spice as does my wife. Service has been less than great each time we have been here.

As the chain-style restaurant steakhouses go, Longhorn is top-notch. The 5-stars is for comparison to the other chain steakhouses in the moderate price range. It’s not Morton’s or Ruth’s Chris or even your favorite local traditional steakhouse, but in this price range, it’s the best of the chains. The décor is just this side of western-cheese, with lots of wrought-iron gewgaws, faux Remington sculptures and antler-based light fixtures. The staff is always friendly and personable, even when it’s a busy Saturday night. And busy they can get! Weekend evenings between 5:00 and 9:00 can have waits as long as 90 minutes. There is a waiting area with seating for about a dozen and a large bar area serving cocktails & beer. Best bets are the usual good cuts of steak: Ribeye, Strip Steak & Filet. They are sure to satisfy and carnivore with their tender, generous portions and sides. Everything was fresh and cooked as per order. The non-steak menu items are pretty good, too. Though I was a bit disappointed by the ribs. They were thin and almost bland, not rich, smoky and spicy as proper ribs should be. If you want great ribs, go across the street to the Texas Road House franchise. If you want a great steak, go to the Longhorn. Beware of the usual pitfalls of chain restaurants: appetizers & desserts. These extras can quickly cause your dinner check to expand faster than your waistline at this place. They are good, but are unnecessary to the enjoyment of the meal and only serve to pad the bill so that waitstaff get bigger tips.
