Food has down graded in my recent 2 visits within 6 months. The perfect rose milk tea did not taste the same. I asked them to remake it as it was too bitter/strong. The lady refused and added water. Bitter tea plus extra water is still not what I wanted. I asked her can you please remake it. She refused and added milk this time. The milk tea is better but… service is not the best. How much does remaking a small pot of tea cost? You are losing a permanent, regular client here. I ordered the noodle soup with pork chop and fried fish over rice. Both were greasy, loaded with sauce and sodium. Portion is smaller than before.

I won’t say the place is perfect, but it’s a good place for Taiwanese food. Their price is fair too. I like their milk tea accompanied with the meal. Daily special is very nice as well.

The store was very clean and inviting, with the food and drinks being great too. They have a pretty big menu, so there should be something for everyone. c; I had the Teriyaki Chicken Combo A, which had a nice twist compared to the classic American teriyaki sauce. The portions were pretty generous, but the pricing could’ve been better. I also ordered the Royal Milk Tea, which was really good. I’ve tried tons of milk teas, yet this particular drink still remains one of my favorites. c; The daily specials were really good, but again, the pricing could’ve been better overall. They also let you buy to-go so you could pick up your food on your way home if that’s what you’d like; you can also order delivery where they have like a unique meal everyday. C: The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The décor was very nice, and the serving plates were pretty cute. They even had a fancy water dispenser I’ve never seen anywhere else. C; I’ll definitely be coming back again for more! C:

I’ve been coming here for the past few years. It hasn’t really shout out to me as a great place to eat, but I’ll come by every now and then. I never really had any problems with the place… until tonight. I am very unhappy with the way they run their business. We ordered fatty pork as one of the meals. Normally with fatty pork you expect at least some lean meat. But when it came out, it was purely a slab of fat. I couldn’t find much lean meat anywhere to eat. The worst is they expected you to enjoy it. To enjoy a slab of fat. Asking them to redo or change a dish is not allowable. If the food came out of the kitchen and the customers don’t like it, too bad… you have to eat it, or go home angry and hungry. It seems that this was the manager’s policy, but the manager was not there. Honestly the server was really trying to make things right. She tried to make a good excuse for why there’s a big slab of fat. And said that we should have asked for a less fatty piece of fat before our order. In the end, I feel bad for the server because she had to make up some excuse as to why this dish is served as a big slab of fat. It’s out of her control. She then gave me a $ 2 coupon to use next time. I understand if this is Asian restaurant. I get that. Owners are cheap. They want to keep their money and keep the restaurant going, but this isn’t the way to do it. I don’t want any $ 2 coupon. I want to eat something that is not a slab of fat so I don’t have to go home hungry. I’m a repeating paying customer that have never complained before. Can’t I at least have that? I would have eaten a plate of replacement mapo-tofu, for crying out loud. So they can keep their profit from my wallet tonight, but they’ll lose out on any more of my future business and referrals. Good luck, and good bye, Rose Garden.

Chinese Style McDonald’s! That’s how my son described this place. Hmmm, still trying to figure out how I end up giving this place a try.

There is nothing worse than a restaurant that forces you to order one thing per person if they decide to dine here. We wanted to find a place to enjoy some few snacks right after lunch and the server guilt trip you that you must order 1 order per person. We have two people wanting to eat but three people just wanted to sit out and chat during 3:00pm when there’s no one at the restaurant but forces all 5 of us to order. The food wasn’t amazing but the drinks were alright if you do decide to order it to go. Definitely not a good place to chill or to eat with friends.

Taiwan Restaurant in Milpitas. *Food: ~ Mala(Chinese Spicy) Pig Ears: it wasn’t as «Mala» as I expect it. Typically Chinese Mala spice is suppose to make your tongue a bit numb. It’s a different sensation of spiciness. But the pig ear stripes were good, it was not too hard nor too soft. It was made just enough where it is a bit chewy. However, towards the bottom of the pile where it is soaked in the sauce, it does get a bit salty.(4 stars) ~ Jia Jia Mian(Taiwan Style): This is a vegetarian/vegan dish. There are no meat but only dried tofu and bamboo pieces. The sauce can be more flavorful because it tasted very simple but ask for the Red Chili Sauce, it makes it way better. ~Steamed Chicken Plate: my brother ordered this and what was good is that it came with soup and 3 small appetizers/snacks. One of them are corn and I must say, I really liked the corn. It was sweet and quite creamy. The chicken however, is leaning towards the salty side, something you must eat with rice. ~ Tomato Beef(牛腩) Noodles: My mom ordered this and in my opinion, the broth had more beef flavor than tomato. If there was a stronger tomato flavor than I think I’d like it more. But I personally do no like 牛腩 very much so this noodle dish is not for me. *Drink: ~Tiramisu Cappuccino: This is a must try. Speechless because it is so special and delicious. *Service: The lady who served us was very nice. She is Taiwanese but can also speak Cantonese. I am impressed.

I felt like I was eating high quality homemade food. I had the braised pork belly combo A. The pork belly was made exactly how I wanted it and there was a generous portion given. I had a lemon tea with lychee also. My boyfriend got the braised pork chop combo B. We were two satisfied customers. I was pleasantly surprised and I’ll definitely come back.

Jesus Christ. I drank, cold milk with a dash of tea and grass jelly. Given that it’s not powder and real tea leaves, but does it matter if there’s no flavor of tea anywhere? If I wanted cold milk I would have just stayed at home and not wasted $ 9.22 for two small royal milk teas with grass jelly that by the way are XXX-small. I will not be back and I do not recommend.

How cute this place is! It would be good for a girl’s hangout, but then again, it’s a large amount of distance to drive and meet up here. Place is clean, the décor makes it feel like I’m about to have a tea party with some childhood friends and the menu serves plenty! I was meeting a friend for lunch nearby and swung by here. So I could only review this about the orange tea, it was excellent to taste. Slightly sweet and fresh orange shaken with the tea and served on ice. Refreshing :)

Very very pricey for very very bad food. (1) Beef noodle comes with extremely salty soup and 3 small pieces of beef. When the waitress asked if I wanted the dish to come with«all meat» or «half meat half tendon», I really had high expectations when I gladly replied, «ALLMEAT». To not disappoint me, she should have asked if I wanted 3 pieces of meat, or 1 piece of meat with 2 pieces of tendon, OR2 pieces of meat with 1 piece of tendon! (2) Ordered a vanilla slush, and it cost nearly $ 7 for a glass of one scoop vanilla plus plenty of water and ice. And for that I can only taste sort of vanilla flavored ice water! With $ 7 I am guessing I can make at least 60 glasses of vanilla slush out of at least two pints of Haagen-Dazs using your recipe… The business practice almost sounds like cheating consumers and close to being a qualified case for a complaint to BBB. As a fellow Taiwanese, I despise you, unless of course, its not even opened by a Taiwanese, then I suggest that you to stop pretending to sell Taiwanese food!

Maybe it’s the fact that their tea tastes like the milk tea back home(tea leaves and not powder!) or the way the whole feel of the store brings back me to Taiwan, but I’m so glad I found this little shop to stay me over until my next flight back. NOTE: I do like this place because it reminds me of the style of food served in Taiwan. Just as Chiptole isn’t really authentic Mexican food or Panda Express isn’t really authentic Chinese, it would be unfair to use an Italian or French palette to judge the«western» style dishes served here. Most are made with a distinctive twist that incorporates more of a sweet flavor(we Taiwanese have a horrible sweet tooth…) but if you can try it as a new«type» of cuisine, it’s really quite unique :) Ok so on to the details. What’s great about this place is that there are a lot of «combo» options so that you get a tea, a few side dishes, a main dish, and even dessert if you’d like! There are always two house specials of the day(and generally they incorporate the fresh catch/meats so you can trust them to be good!) I first tried the Lemon/Miso Sea Bass combo and ordered it with green tea. It came with three other common house sides of egg+tomato, stir fried tofu, and bokchoy, soup, as well as a bowl of piping hot rice. The fish was very tender and fresh, and the miso-lemon added a very nice tang :9 highly recommend it for anyone who likes fish! My dad went for a more Western option and got the mushroom cheese steak filet. It came with salad and mushroom chowder, and a side of pasta. A very decent steak but I think I wouldn’t come here just to eat it, the more home cooked sets are my bias. My brother’s 9 and quite the picky eater. But they have a kids combo menu that comes with juice and a dessert! We picked the Omurice(egg fried rice with tomato sauce) and he gobbled it up within minutes. The staff here are also very friendly :) if service itself is a little slow, it just means that they’re slow food! Our seat was conveniently next to the kitchen window so we got to see a lot of the prep! hope it stays that way now even past the first few weeks of opening!

Was eating dinner with my grandparents next door yesterday until the milk tea craving came on– specifically the Peach Milk Tea craving. I walk over to England Rose Garden and order. The cashier mumbled something and all I could hear was«six fifty one». I hoped that she meant for me to return at 6:51… but NOPE. That was how much it cost for around 20 oz of milk tea. $ 6.51!!! AND I had to wait around fifteen minutes to get it! You’d think that something would be cheaper if you’d wait for so long in order to get it! I hope my peach milk tea craving does not come frequently… I don’t think I’m ever going there for milk tea. My wallet is still injured…

England Rose Garden was designed for girls who have always wanted to have tea time with friends who prefer ‘real meals’. Garden’s menu encompasses everything from hot pot soup, toast, jelly, steak, baked rice, noodle soups, and cookies so even your boyfriend will enjoy pork belly while you pour East Beauty tea from a beautiful kettle. The combination portion is the best area of the menu to pick from because you get to try everything without feeling guilty. My boyfriend and I had the tomato and onion beef which tasted like something you’d get from a can of Chef Boyardee’s but in the most nostalgic way. You can’t pick the sides but fortunately, it’s not chips and dip. We had hot, soft tofu pieces, steamed broccoli, and saucy eggplants. The milk tea is also delicious and not made from powder. My boyfriend got the summer pudding milk tea that was made from tea leaves with some sweetener. I don’t like milk tea and I found it pleasant. Negative aspects are the slow service and the temperature of the restaurant. It’s basically Costco’s freezer. That may encourage you to order their hot tea. The service isn’t slow on purpose. They should hire more people because the two employees managing the floor did not stop moving for a second. They could use some back up! The price may not be worth it for some, but for girls who are all about pretty presentations with food, paying the extra $ 2 – 3 for gorgeous dishware is nothing. I can’t wait to come back here to be delighted about what I’m going to see.

$ 6 for a cup of milk tea is ridiculous but I liked that environment was small and quiet for a good afternoon catchup session with my girlfriends. I had the Royal Tea which was not too sweet, just how I like it! It’s apparently one of the more popular selections in their Taiwanese tea menu, so that’s what the waitress recommended. I glazed over most of their menu as we only came here for drinks so I’m not sure how the food fairs, but I thought it was kinda cute that they offer some«high tea» options. At least from what I remember. If anything, it’s more of a Taiwanese café restaurant than an actual dedicated teahouse. They had a pretty freaken cool water dispenser on the table though. O_O Press and water comes out! Wut der…

Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant is right beneath ABC Seafood and has a poster with the name on it located on the lower left window pane which took a while for me to figure out whether I am at the right place. Combination dinner meals price ranges from $ 10.99 — $ 15.99. Combination meal A: Consists of 3 side dishes, steamed rice, soup of the day, and a choice of hot or iced green or black tea*. Combination meal B: One side dish and soup or dry noodle and choice of hot or iced green or black tea.* * If one decides to order other teas, the tea would be counted as an addition to the meal with $ 1 discount. We ordered the following and these are the remarks: — Misoyaki sea bass — Dongpo pork(braised pork belly in brown sauce) — Braised prok chop — Fried pork chop — Fried chicken leg with soup noodle — Kungpao chicken Sea bass was tender but lacked an even flavor throughout which would be much better if marinated longer. All of the other entrees were well-prepared and the portions were adequate. We ordered the Irish cream milk tea, pudding milk tea, longan jujubee herbal tea and the honey chrysanthemum herbal tea. All of the teas were good. The pudding milk tea has a very interesting flavor cross between darjeeling and Earl Grey with a slight hint of nutmeg. We had a party of 7 people. The menu is quite elaborate full of different kinds of teas and meal options. It took us quite a bit of time to order the different dinner combinations and the wait staff were friendly and attentive.

It is Taiwanese with Western Fusion. I came for snacks on late night date. Mango Smoothie — it was huge, good for two people to share. $ 5.99 Lamb skewer with cumin — bite size morsels seasoned and cooked to perfection for only $ 3.99 I saw other ladies ordering individual pots of tea served in pretty pots with own warmers. Will try it next time but not so late at night.

Desserts were a fail. The tiramisu was still frozen, the cream puff was good but very small, cookies tasted stale. Chocolate milk tea was good. Rich, flavorful and not too sweet. Cute place for a date but paying $ 6 for a pot of tea is a bit ridiculous.
