Gymboree

This is not a review for this particular store but for service I received as a customer by phone.
I am sad to say I will never shop at Gymboree ever again. I will also be letting all my family members/​friends know how poor of service you receive as a customer and advise them not to shop here as well. I had about $ 150.00 earned in gymbucks. When I called I had the displeasure of being «helped» by Robert Maclin. After waiting about 10 minutes for him to answer, I also had to repeat my email to him about 4 times for him to get it right. He didn’t bother to repeat himself after every letter I had said, like good customer service should be done. No biggie. Then I told him I had trouble applying my Gymbucks to my order. He had me tell him my gymbucks number with my pin and for 3 of my gymbucks, after every time I told him he did not bother to tell me the amount that would be applied to my order, which would be another good customer service quality. He then said well you cant use your gymbucks because you cant use over $ 150. I was asking how that is possible when it says unlimited entry. He wasn’t explaining himself properly saying for every so many dollars you spend you can apply so many gymbucks. Which makes sense, and if he would have explained it that way it wouldn’t have been an issue. During our conversation he continued to laugh, be very rude and smug and say «you don’t know the rules» or «if you read your emails» etc. I called to receive help, not to receive the backlash I received from him. I have never had anyone be so rude. If you do not want to lose any further customers I suggest you help your staff better understand the rules and how to explain and how actually to provide customer service.

This place sure is cheaper than a regular Gymboree. Generally, they have a smaller selection, and the quality of the clothes is lower. I know that is is thing with outlet shops, but it is irritating all the same. What really gets to me about this place is the complete mess that it always is and the lines take forever. It bugs me that I can barely get a stroller into the door and then I have difficulty getting to racks because other strollers and bodies are packed in so tight. There are very often garments strewn on the floor. I do shop here on occasion if I see something I really like through the window, but most of the time I just walk on by.

They have cute stuff for little girls at ok prices. I, myself prefer Carter’s better, but since my daughter was given a gift card for this place we needed to use it.
Erendida is the name of the associate who rang us up. She was too busy talking to the other person at the register to make any sort of conversation or even focus on ringing me up. She literally stood there holding my daughter’s clothes while talking, and I was tapping my shoe, because I had alot of shopping that I still needed to do.
I had asked another sales associate for help finding my daughter’s size and she seemed bothered that she had to stop fixing clothes to help me.
The only reason why I came here is because of the gift card I had. I will not be shopping at this store in the future.

I got a good deal on a couple things at gymboree over the weekend. The person that was behind the counter definitely wanted a good customer service review — you can tell when they try overly hard to be nice and then ask you to go to the site and give feedback.
Prior to her ringing me up, another customer asked if there was a Children’s Place in the mall. She hesitated and said, «yes, but our clothes are better quality and you are better off shopping here if you want your clothes to last long.» TOTAL BAD MOUTHING. -
Though the quality is better at Gymboree, I just think her comments are so unprofessional. The customer just asked a simple question.

My daughter got her dress here, it was very cute… it’s a bit pricey, but overall it’s so cute on her.
The staff were very nice, and she told us that there was a matching jacket that were there to arrive the next day.
The store was a bit chaotic considering we went around holiday shopping season.
