I only come here for their beef wrap and beef noodle soup. You get the option of choosing the size of noodle you want. I personally don’t like the thick noodles. If you do get the beef noodle soup, order a side of their hard boiled eggs. I don’t come here for their customer service, which they horribly lack. So don’t expect a greeting smile. Its a no nonsense kind of place. Just order your food, eat, pay, and adiós!

Was introduced to this place by a worker next door when we were getting our cell phones replaced. Service was typical for average Asian restaurant. Food was pretty bad and disappointing. If I were to describe the food, I would say MSG filled and oily. Ordered some appetizers and it was too drenched in sesame oil. The noodle soups were too salty with a lot of MSG and oil. Same goes for the rice plate. Was looking forward to some legit Taiwanese food as the worked said this place stood out. Unfortunately I don’t think I will ever return.

The place was spacious and clean, lots on the menu, rice noodles wide or thin, beef, tendons, oxtail, pigs feet, I am in food heaven! I ordered the oxtail stew wide noodles; noodles are handmade and al denote and oxtail was tasty and not tough and came off easily. Glad I gave it a try, will be back!

It’s a typical Taiwanese restaurant but surprisingly spacious! Most of the dishes are noodles and rice; they do have a variety of them. I think their appetizer is better than the main dishes. I really like the pancakes. The price is also affordable and the service was nice too.

It’s sad that the enthusiasm for Liang’s has been dying down after the initial hype. I personally find Liang’s a reliable stable to get my TW fix of carby beef items or other small eats(aka 小吃… not sure how well that translates) We stopped by for lunch because in the Fantasia square(very important reason), QQ Noodle was packed, and we’re familiar with the menu(too many random new places popping up, not worth the risk given limited pre-Fantasia stomach space.) (+) Sichuan pork noodle soup: Nice and simple, with perfect noodle texture and broth, though a bit skimpy on the pork and preserved veggies. (+) Beef wrap: On point! Golden crispy pancake, with just the right amount with beef and cilantro. It’s so well balanced, it tastes like a time-tested recipe that’s been perfected over many trials. (+) The menu in general: So many good choices, ranging from traditional comfort food noodle soups, to Taiwanese miscellany, to Bento box sets with assortments of yumminess. My gripes are that the menu has no prices(though the glossy photos are helpful) and that the bathroom isn’t great(one was clogged, and the door on the other didn’t lock properly). Also, employees were having some sort of celebration in the back with what looked like a homemade matcha crêpe cake, and they didn’t offer us any. Jkjk, that should not be a factor in Unilocal reviews, though it could very well have negated the menu price/bathroom issues and bumped it up to 5 stars! The verdict? Definitely a staple, and possibly my favorite place in the plaza when you don’t want to put up with the wait at QQ, the hassles and formalities of Mayflower, and the risks of trying the other new places.

Tried out Liang’s Kitchen for dinner one night and I was the first one there. It’s in the 99 Shopping Center on the Right of it between 99R and Mayflower. Waitress was wrapping wontons — might be worth trying next time. I got the Oxtail Stew Dry Noodle $ 10.75 — it came out pretty fast and temperature Hot! The wide noodles are homemade, made from flour. I found it too thick and chewy. Oxtail wasn’t tender enough, but I still ate it up. I had a little bit for leftovers. You can charge it if over $ 20, but my total was $ 11.69 after tax so I paid Cash. Might try other dishes next time: spicy red oil wontons $ 5.99; stewed egg $ 1.5; minced pork w/rice $ 7.50; beef noodle soup w/thin noodles $ 8.99.

My second time here, but don’t think I will come back after this time. The food are okay, but a bit expensive for what we got… $ 8.99 beef tendon noodle soup — 3 pieces of beef tendon only with a big bowl of noodle. $ 6.99 for a piece of oily pork cutlet $ 7.99 shredded pork noodle, only small amount of meat $ 7.25 small bowl of don don noodle The worst part of this place is the cleanness, change 2 different high chair, they’re both really really dirty, i tried to use wet napkin to clean it, but it’s still really sticky and dirty… Like they haven’t been clean for 10 years… Gosh… So end up I just use my car seat for my daughter… So… After this time, I will never come again, since there’s lot of different place to choose from!

Not the best Liang’s Kitchen location… definitely a great physical location to be in one of many Milpitas’ strip malls, but the food at this one wasn’t the greatest. I’ve noticed that the food quality really varies from Liang’s to Liang’s… they really gotta work on that. The service here was great and all — very helpful. The restaurant itself is very roomy with plenty of seating. Just a little run down but that isn’t too bothersome. Now the food… The dou fu gan bean curd was really tough to chew through… like it was getting old. It was more rubbery than it should have normally been. The minced pork over rice(my favorite anywhere) was pretty good. That, the cucumbers, bok choy, and green onion pancake were all good(especially as leftovers). But we all had a problem with the noodles we ordered. I forget what they’re called, but they are cold noodles you mix up with meat and cucumbers and sauce. I ate a bite or two first before eating my own bowl of minced pork rice. The noodles tasted really different from any others I’ve had. But I brushed it off. Then my parents took a few bites of theirs and they both immediately looked at each other and knew something was off with the taste and smell, esp. with the meat. They spit it out and we asked the kitchen to bring it back. :(I felt bad for doing that but we didn’t want to risk it. All in all, Liang’s is a decent place for good food that’s nice to your wallet. Perhaps opt for another Liang’s location in the Bay Area.

Liang’s Kitchen specializes in Taiwanese food and has many traditional dishes such as beef noodle soup, bento boxes, minced pork over rice, etc. There are several Liang’s Kitchen locations and not all may produce the same quality of food. I use to go the one in San Jose over the years but it closed. I’ve been only to this location in Milpitas a couple of times. Over all in both locations, most of its dishes are decent, but not the best Taiwanese dishes out there. Sometimes, some things can be a bit salty. I ordered the 3 Flavor Chicken which was similar the Hainan style chicken, and it came with rice and 3 dipping sauces. The rice was seasoned, but way overly seasoned because it tasted like salt water was dunked in it. I wasn’t sure if it was suppose to taste salty, but even if it was suppose to be, the saltiness was overly so because even tasting a small bite, all I could taste was that salt. Also, I remember I use to really like the beef wraps which use scallion pancakes as the wrap and fill it when beef, cilantro, sauce, and veggies. However, the most recent time I went, I saw the price rose to $ 8.99! and the scallion pancake tasted a bit oily. I’ve also tried many of their noodle dishes and I would recommend getting the«la pian» noodles. You have the between regular noodles and«la pian», and«la pian» are thicker, chewier, hand cut noodles which I think are much yummier. The noodles are more al dente and have a better mouth feel. Even though it’s not stellar Taiwanese food, there’s still really good bento box and noodle selections that are worth checking out or for satisfying any cravings!

Came here to satisfy my friend’s craving for Taiwanese food. BEEFNOODLESOUP: The noodles were super thick and wide and not cooked well – it was very chewy. The broth didn’t seem too salty at the time, but I found myself downing cups and cups of water after lunch. BEEFWRAP: Fantastic quantity, but sub-par quality. It was very, very oily.

Pretty empty on a Thursday night. I split the beef rolls and had the fried fish lunch box. Nothing special, wouldn’t mind it again but probably not worth a separate trip. Though the portions are nicely sized.

Got beef noodle soup. However, I just went to Taiwan a few months back, so nothing can compare. It was alright — a couple of pieces of vegetables, meat, and noodles. Def not like what I had in Taiwan, although, they show pictures Taiwan on the store’s TV screens… were they originally in Taiwan? Idk Beef or Pork Wrap aka Grease Ball — It’s basically a fried, green onion pancake wrap with beef or pork. Flavor is good, but you can definitely feel the grease.

Solid Taiwanese food. Don’t expect greatness, and the dishes are overly salty, but still good. Beef noodle soup is good, the green onion pancake is solid, but Taiwanese chefs would be disappointed. Worth it to try Taiwanese food, but you can find better around the Milpitas area.

It kind of pains me to write such a negative review. Even delicious, home-cooking-esque food couldn’t save this one. First, the food was good. We ordered a couple of cold dishes, which were already in the refrigerator and pretty much ready to go. I recommend the snow vegetable and tofu skin one, which for some reason didn’t appear on their paper menu but was available. I ordered some soup, and my friend ordered some dry noodles. Nothing out of the ordinary, good or bad. Decent portion sizes, maybe even enough for two people to share one entrée. Unfortunately, service was terrible. We dined in on a regular weekday evening, no huge dinner rush, restaurant maybe 1⁄3 full at the busiest point of the night. When we walked in, it took a couple minutes for us to get seated, even though there was someone in the front. We had to walk right up to the counter and let him know we were there to dine in(I’m not sure why he thought we were just standing there?). Then, when we were seated, we must have waited another 20 minutes before they came by to take our order. We were very clearly ready to order — menus closed, no more conversation because we were too hungry to even think, looking around for waitstaff. The cold dish came out in about ten minutes or so, and the hot food obviously took longer. After we were done with the meal, no one came by to clear our plates, give us takeout boxes, or even give us the check. Even after I went up to the cashier and asked for the check and box, they took almost 20 minutes before I asked again. I can see why there were maybe only five tables of customers. I don’t think I’ll be back here. There are plenty of good places in the same plaza with much better service.

The first time I came I ordered Zhajiangmian and it tasted phenomenal. Wonderful noodles and mix of cucumber and flavored meat. I’ve also tried their fried pork cutlet over rice, which was delicious fried goodness. Very crispy and tender. The side dishes of scallion pancake and cold bamboo shoots are tasty too. Green onion pancake was a lot thicker and fried than I’m accustomed to, but it was amazing and the best I’ve eaten. Cold bamboo is savory and good. I wish they also served it hot because I love bamboo. This place is comfort food to me so I will be back!

Came here one day when I Heart Pepper Lunch was too packed !! The thing I remember being good is mainly the beef wrap! i love beef wraps at almost all places, but it was especially delicious here because the outer pancake was fried and crunchy! The cold pickled cucumbers were also pretty good, but if a Chinese place cannot make the standard cucumber appetizer then it’s pretty weird. I ordered the jia jiang mian as my main course, and it was super oily. The sauce started to have the look of like the olive oil/balsamic vinegar mix that you dip your free bread in at Italian restaurants. Like a pile of oil with some random black drips inside. I also remember that everyone else’s meal was super oily. OILY! If I ever return, I will only eat beef wraps(which are actually oily too but it’s ok since they’re fried).

Come here for my beef noodle soup and beef wrap fix!!! Love that they make their noodles from scratch – they seriously taste soo much better and their broth is pretty good too! I don’t like mine too spicy so this place makes it just right! They also have HUGE beef wraps that are actually filled with beef! The spicy sauce that comes with some of their other dishes and we always ask for it because it complements the beef rolls better than the sauce they usually serve. Portions are pretty big too and they don’t skimp on the meat! We also ordered their coconut drinks which come in actual coconut you’re supposed to peel off and eat. Ours, unfortunately, was a bit on the tough side making it inedible. I’d definitely PASS on ordering those again! My friend tried their pork chop which comes deep fried and didn’t really care for it either. She said it was too dry to eat and left over half of it on her plate. The only downfall to Liang’s is the service! Once they give you your food they ignore you the rest of the time until they notice you’re all done and need to pay the bill! No one can eat beef noodles without a ton of water so I hate how you ALWAYS have to flag then down for re-fills! In the summertime, they REFUSE to turn on the air conditioner so expect to be sweating like crazy while you’re in there! I’d give them a 1⁄5 for service! Overall, just stick to their beef noodle soup and beef wraps and you should be fine!

Arrived in Milpitas square at around 2:30 and to my surprise everything was closed except for this restaurant. Walking in, i didnt know what to expect. I ordered the beef rolls which i saw was recommended on Unilocal and beef tendon noodle soup. At first i was skeptical with the food here because most reviews read MEHHHHH. The beef noodle soup was only OKAY to be honest. Thick noodle which was somewhat not fully soft, a few pieces of beef tendon and some veggies. well barely veggies. Probably a 2.5÷5 star rated noodle soup. The beef roll on the other hand was a little better. I could give it a 3.5÷5 star. Its a green onion pancake like skin to wraps beef pieces within it. If you add some hoisin sauce to it, it would give it the ideal kick to the flavor. But other than that… the place is aightttttt for a try. I probably wouldnt be back for a while considering all the other locations around it, but now i know not to come around 2;30 because all other locations are closed.

Food here is decent. My friend and I came on a rainy Thursday night since I was craving some Beef Noodle Soup… I honestly wanted to go to Izzo, lol but I wasn’t in the mood to debate or argue so I just went with LK. We got: Minced Pork over Rice: some people say it’s bland but I actually like the taste and decent amount of meat. Beef wrap: it’s been a while since I’ve been to Liang’s Kitchen but I thought this one became a bigger portion? it was good though. Beef Noodle Soup: It was pretty good but I guess I’m used to Izzo’s Beef Noodle Soup since it has that hint of good spiciness while LK wasn’t spicy but rather just very aromatic taste.
