Don and his team (in our case, it is Daniel) are the best. My garage door springs broke last Friday. I initially contacted Don after seeing multiple neighbors recommend him on Nextdoor but he couldn’t find anyone for the job right away without charging me an extra fee but he was very responsive, courteous and helpful over the phone. I ended up with another person recommended on Nextdoor who charged me $ 50 more than the quote from Don and had a serious attitude problem. After he told me my motor also needed to be changed, I called Don again. Don asked me a few questions about the current motor and said it indeed needed a replacement and quoted $ 100 lower than the other guy. Again, very warm and helpful on the phone. Daniel came the following Monday morning and did a great job. He is very courteous, professional and patient with my questions. However, he pointed to me that one of the springs needed to change to a different size to work properly with the door. By that time, Don and Daniel have earned 100% of my trust so I made the request to the guy who changed the springs. He refused to do it but was willing to return my money and take away the springs and «let the person you trust do it for you». I talked with Don and he sent Daniel the next day to install the right size springs. Daniel got everything done nicely and the door works great. I highly recommend this place!

We decided to go with a local Milpitas company and do not regret it!
Both Daniel and Don did a great job explaining our options without being pushy. Dan brought paint chips to make sure that the color of the door matches the rest of the house. Daniel did a great job with installation and was professional, prompt, and courteous. After the door was installed, Daniel noticed a small dent in one of the panel, which we did not see. Don called us the next day, told us about the dent, and offered to replace the panel — you don’t find this degree of honesty often nowadays and we really appreciated it. We are very happy with results — our new door looks great and is very quite. We would recommend One Way Garage Company 100%.

One Way came out and replaced the opener on our garage door. I can’t believe how quiet the new one is AND the remotes work before you even get in the driveway! I’m so pleased with the update. The very knowledgeable team helped troubleshoot the problem quickly and were polite, friendly and professional.

I just had a Liftmaster 8355 installed.
Daniel came and finished the replacement of the opener in 2.5 hrs.
I really liked his work, his professionalism and his attitude.
He freely answers my questions about garage door and overall it is a very pleasant experience.
I understand that with this kind of replacement, good equipment is half the equation and the other half is the installer.
I can easily see the difference in the quality of job between my previous installer and Daniel.

My garage door developed some cracks on the panels over the years and by trying to fix them, I made it worst to the point that I need a new door. I google to seek some help and decided to give One Way a call on late Friday afternoon. Don came out on Monday, did a consultation and answered all my questions and concerns. Don is straight forward, professional, friendly and definitely know his business. I ended up getting a fully insulated door with very reasonable price. Next day, the installer Daniel M came right on time. And in my experience, the owner of the company can promised you the World, and when it comes down to actual quality of the job and professionalism, there is no guarantees and usually doesn’t match up. However, that wasn’t the case here. Daniel sure exceeded my expectations! He finished the whole system installation in a less than 3 hours and the quality of his work was just awesome. My new door is beautiful, it runs a lot smoother and quieter with no gap. I am now worry free knowing that my cars are going to be safe. Great Job guys! I highly recommend this company if you run into garage door problem.

An unbelievably good experience! Don was wonderful to work with, and was completely honest about his company’s not likely being the cheapest of the estimates I received. He was right, though One Way wasn’t the most expensive, either. He showed me options for exactly the garage door I was looking for; one of the other companies from which I got an estimate told me I couldn’t have the «carriage house» look. When it was ready to be installed, I received a phone call saying that the technicians would be arriving shortly. Daniel and Alberto did an excellent job! They were helpful, respectful, and professional. My door looks fantastic!

One of the springs broke on our garage door. This is the third time it has broken in four years, so it’s a bit excessive. I called One Way Garage Door based on the Unilocal reviews. Daniel came over to repair the springs. He assessed the problem and with my account of how heavy the door felt before, decided to do something a bit out of the box. He used two different types of springs and tensioned them differently to find the right balance for the door throughout the range of motion. Now, the door feels light at any opening and stays fully open when up without the opener latched.
This is some of the best service I ever experienced, with some clever thinking to solve an unusual problem. I highly recommend them.

My garage door stop working suddenly just 2 days before Thanksgiving. With many guest coming for dinner, my wife and I were worried. So we called One way Garage Door. Don asked a few questions over the phone and said no problem, is likely be your door spring was broken. He quoted the cost to fix it over the phone. It’s reasonable and we OK. His specialist Daniel showed up next day on time and ouch, our garage door is a custom one and one ready made spring fits.
Well, Daniel called his supplier to have them custom cut one and must come back the next day — one day before Thanksgiving. Again on time with a pair of custom springs and replaced the broken one, tightened all the loosen nuts, oiled all the moving parts and cleaned up everything. The door was operational again and much quieter. I pulled out check book as asked him how much? I’m OK to pay a little more due to the complication. Daniel said same price, no extra charge. Well, I’m glad not only the door was fixed just before Thanksgiving, I believe I got a good deal in this case. I’ll recommend One Way Garage Door to my friends when they get garage door problem.

Don was super helpful. I thought my garage door was broken so i panicked and called a door repair company right away. Instead of coming out and charging me a lot of money, he was able to talk to me on the phone for 10 mins to resolve the issue! He was super helpful and saved me time and money on his own initiative!

When a guy has perfect reviews, it usually tells you something.
Don was awesome. From the time he picked up the phone after 7pm to the time he showed up at our front door was less than 30 minutes. It was incredible.
He had our entire door fixed and ready to go 30 minutes after he showed up. Not only was he quick, he charged a reasonable rate and was willing to come out after hours.
The dude also offered helpful maintenance suggestions for the future.

Ok so I managed to paint my garage door shut. And when I opened the door with the motor the track actually disconnected from the door itself trying to pull the door and my driveway apart Uh oh.
Actually it’s not all that uncommon. ?? Googling it made me feel better. I’m not the first.
I was referred to don by my a coworker and after texting him pictures he managed to dx the situation and fix my very old very cheap door and save me from having to get a new system … Very honest and fair Could not imagine a better choice. When I do need a new door eventually I will call don. Highly recommends

My Garage door spring was broken. I called up Don in the morning at 8:30 and he was at my place by 9:30. Got job done in half an hour. Explained things to me while fixing the door. Did some tune up and made my garage door close smooth and quiet. Knew his craft well. Very detail oriented.

A spring busted on our garage door and I went to my neighborhood Yahoo! group to see who’s used a garage door contractor and found a reference to One Way. I called and spoke to Don yesterday and set up an appointment today. The entire experience was great. It was apparent that he knew what he was talking over the phone and the installation was a breeze. He pointed out a potential issue for the future and also tuned up and adjusted my opener.

These darn Japanese cars are so temperamental and headstrong! I bought mine in December, and it’s been itching for a fight ever since I brought it home. Finally, last month, it came completely unglued and picked a fight with my garage door with absolutely no warning or provocation. That was the straw that broke the Camel’s Back — after I was done consoling my poor door, I took my car over to Kuykendall’s Auto Body and had it fixed — it won’t be scrappin’ with any more doors, windows, or parking lot poles anytime soon; or at least, so my wallet hopes! :-)
With the horse galloping away at top speed, it was obviously time to firmly shut the barn door. My garage is the closest thing I have to a barn, and it’s door could no longer shut; as I didn’t really feel like buying several cases of outstanding vintage Cabernet that month anyway, I started calling around for quotes on getting my garage door fixed instead. It soon became obvious that it would cost more to fix my door than to replace it, so I got ball-​park quotes from various services over the phone, and ultimately made appointments to have three of them come in and give me written quotes.
Should I buy an Insulated or a non-​insulated door? Is ketchup really a vegetable? Is a Belt-​driven or chain-​pulled opener best? Supply-​side or Trickle Down economics? Don explained it all, and left me with the impression that he and his crew could both talk the talk and walk the walk.
Once I had exactly what I wanted to buy firmly fixed in the rusty steel trap that I use for a mind, Don also quoted me the best price right out of the gate. One of the other outfits ultimately agreed to match his price, but no one could beat it. This, in conjunction with the superior knowledge and skill already demonstrated, caused me to decide to give the job One Way Garage Door.
When it came time to actually do the work, Don’s technician arrived right on time, and did the job fast, quietly, and without complications; Don came by to give it the once-​over with me just as he was finishing up. The new door looks even better than the original
, and this one even has a key-​entry that Don threw in as part of the deal.

In summary, I’d advise anyone who has a scrappy new car that signing it up for Anger Management class is going to come out to be way cheaper and less trouble than buying a new garage door. Failing that, if you have to have your garage door replaced, call One Way Garage Door Company!
