Excellent ambiance and great food! Ask for lunch special on the board. US$ 6.99 or US$ 7.99. Bulgogi, beef stone pot are good. Dumpling soup is devine! And the combination meal of $ 80 is good for 6 adults.(On the menu it says for 2, but I think it is an error.)

Has the Palms in Milpitas closed? I went by there after work, 5:30pm, last week and the place was dark and deserted.

The music was cool. The drinks are over priced. And for the clientele’s… stab wounds and bullet holes. Its a pretty rough looking crowd. but if you like good music don’t start nothin won’t be nothin.

This place is a local dive bar with bumpin music,(when there is a DJ) no huge crowds, and great bartenders that HOOKITUP!!! I’ve been here a number of times and although sometimes the crowd is very, shall we say ‘street-like’(great for people watching!), its a cool spot if you don’t go out very often like me. FYI: the Cherry Cheesecake shot is da bomb!!!

I’ve hung out at the Palms on a couple occasions and every time I go there I always end up havnig a good time. This place is pretty much a dive bar, although they have a dance floor, a dj and a stripper pole. The drinks are really good and super cheap– definitely a good place for happy hours or if you are on a tight budget.

This place is run down to be honest. But everyone here is pretty friendly. I have never been here on a Fri/Sat — just on a weekday to have a few drinks and it’s just a chill spot to hang out play free pool. And the manager Patrick is pretty chill. It’s like a modern day Cheers. Not a bad place to just shoot the shit with someone and have a few drinks. Also have a jukebox. Free pool.

Free blow job(DRINK! hello, nasty) from the bartender on my 21st birthday. That was four years ago, but whatever, a free blow job needs to be mentioned on Unilocal

Been here a couple of nights that weren’t a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. The atmosphere is pretty damn relaxed, but some ghetto or shady folks roll through here every now and then. One of the bouncers was telling us how he got stabbed in the back by some dude once and I’ve seen cops have to arrest people a couple of times for their drunkeness. The bartenders/owners of this place are cool people. I usually just get beers on tap and shoot pool, since it’s free. Most people that come through here are pretty chill and fun though. They got the juke box playing tunes too. I think they got a DJ over here Thursday through Saturday night too. Actually I’ve been here on a Friday night before. They do have a DJ. There’s usually a little more people here too. Not really my crowd, but a chill place to chill at with a couple beers on tap and a couple games of pool on a weeknight. I still laugh at the time a 60 year old Filipino guy tried to challenge my friend Ian a game of pool for $ 500. And the time a Vietnamese guy kept making up rules during the game so he wouldn’t lose and have to owe us all drinks. Fun times!

Used to be a chill place to grab a few beers before the 23 and under age bracket made it their hot spot. Now theres double the security, metal detector wands, and its just plain ghetto. Davids bottom line– Please dont shoot me… I wasnt staring at your 21 year old girlfriend.(Ok I was. Bow chica bow wow)

#404÷04÷08 End of the night!!! Observations of the Milpitas Wild Life… So after all the drinking, eating, and Unilocaling is said and done… there’s more room for drinking. Yeah, we headed back to this dive/wanna be club spot in the middle of no where — right next to Dave and Busters. And speaking of which — as we pull up there’s already a train of cars piling into the parking lot… coming from where you ask? Dave and Busters(they closed for the night). Fast forward to walking toward the entrance… seemed like the entire crew outside knew Jaye and Adam… maybe they weren’t tight but they were crew enough. So, after the meat and greet walked inside and found a pool hall looking dance club thing going on — with skeevy girls playin’ pool on the right being watched by skeevier guys at the bar in the middle bouncing their heads to the beat from the teeny bopper surrounded sound system on the left. Alright… the beats were ok, the beer was better and the skeevy girls were the best. And low and behold more people Jaye and Adam know… they are so popular. Back to outside — odd drinking a beer outside… in Milpitas… but whatever. Why is that guy running… he seems to be running toward that other guy…*krak*…oic, they know each other in a bad way. So what ensues is that this guy punches this other guy in the back of the head and girls scramble in to bite and scratch their way into mêlée infamy. It breaks up soon enough but you know boys will be boys and it can’t end like that. So thugs from Gang A run around. Other thugs from Gang B go to the trunk of their car… where…parked next to my car and rummage through their trunk. It appears that thugs from Gang B are now what they call on the street as being«strapped» nor are they hiding the fact judging from their posturing. It is amazing how things go. So now I’m thinking…“what’s the best way to get the hell out of here without getting shot? and if I jump over the fence will I break someone’s carbon fibre hood? can Jaye keep up with me and Adam?” But before any heroic acrobatics the police show up to my chagrin. The places breaks up soon enough and the spot is closed for the night. I wanted to give Palms fewer stars but considering how the rest of my day went… it was only fitting I suppose and I’m grateful for the sense of closure so I’ll give them 3… count’em 1, 2, 3 stars. The day started with guns and alcohol and you guessed it… ends with alcohol and guns. ;D

Ehhh… Yeah exactly… If you are coming across this review in a search please note I am rowdy. I like action. I like to be caught up in excitement and chatter until I whip my head around and drunkenly proclaim«Holy Shit when did it become five to 2?!?» Not happening at this place… wanna know why I think so? First off, in all fairness, cheers to this place. Thank you for lowering your beer prices. I don’t EVER want to pay 8 bucks for a Newcastle again!!! That’s one, uno. I would have said NO but the bartender had already poured it… asshole. Who the hell charges $ 8 for a beer on tap anyway??? But I digress… Ok I went here on an average weekend. The tunes were bumpin’ — and there was no one on the dance floor — -the entire hour I was there. Yeah, umm if he ain’t willing to get down on the floor, chances are he won’t be able to do too much in the sheets. All I’m saying. Secondly, cops love the bars in Milpitas. Particularly when they have patrons who leave them. You’ve been warned…

Well… What can I say about this… venue. Last night was my first time drinking at the Palms and only had time to drink beer with my wonderful girlfriend and new found friend, John Michael, before the police showed up because of a very elementary school style fight began that reminded me much of the episode from Family Guy where Peter was fighting the oversized chicken. This place made me feel like I was in a really crappy high school dance. It seemed like a hundred unsupervised children running loose and causing havoc because they are out of their parents site just for those few hours that they have before their parents must pick them up again. We were there probably enjoying our time for a whole half hour. The following half hour was spent watching a really ghetto fight where even two girls got involved. For my very first impression, this would seem like a last resort for me if I was desperate enough to get alcohol into my system. Beer was good however, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back. This is just my $ 0.02.

me and some comrades were looking for dive bars on a saturday night and we decided to hit up the local Palms. Luckily there was a Latino motorcycle clique there that night so we would have alot of company. We got some beers, shot a round of pool, chilled hoping not to make any suspicious eye contact with anybody, and bounced within a span of 40 minutes.

NIGHTLIFEREVIEW: its a tucked away place in the middle of NOWHERE… wait, let me find better words to describe that… a tucked away place smack dab in the middle of a DUI/speed trap in Milpitas. Music is good, drinks aren’t too shabby. Crowd — well, it’s not a place to get all dressed up — which i LIKE — but every guy here seems to sport one of the same versions of another«hyphy» hoodie some other doode has on. *shrug* The square footage allows for wandering space without getting lost, but the rooms remind me of a high school dance. I would come here to get plastered, but a little too risky with the cops parked in the cutties behind the joint. Makes for a bad party vibe. Other reviewers are right when they say those bartenders are efficient when it comes to getting everything out to you… just take it easy pulling out of that parking lot. =)

I have never been or even heard of this place! Nevertheless, we had a fun time here last night! It was Halloween costume night, but half the customers weren’t dressed up. However, everyone enjoyed the music, peeps, and especially ALL the drinks! They have a long bar with about three bartenders. They guys were dressed as: Flavor Flav, Little John, and a devil. They were very efficient serving the mixed drinks and beers. BONUS: They have several varieties of cold beer on tap! They had a dance floor, but not that many people danced. The music was hardcore rap, not club or house music. They also have plenty of seating, outdoor patio(for smokers), a pool table, and lots of cool people. This crowds were predominantly Asian(20s to early 30s). I would categorize this place more of a bar/lounge rather than a night/dance club. It might be different on another night though. Check it out if you’re out in Mipitas sometime.

I hate Milpitas, but this place is fun! Laidback, flirty bartenders, great drinks, fun atmosphere for those who are looking for a glorious time with a big group of friends.

It was Friday night and my friends were the birthday girls listed on an event here, so we just had to come. When we got there, it was pretty dead. Couple of steps to the bar and we had our $ 3 shots. The atmosphere of this place, in terms of nightlife, is very… saloon-esque, even if there is today’s Top 40 playing. I felt like the ceilings were a little low. When more people came and the party starting, getting drinks was so difficult. Apparently there’s another bar in another section, but it’s a lot smaller. Even when there was no one, it seemed like the bartenders were having issues. Why would the sign say $ 4 Kamikazes and the bartender charge us for $ 5? Or when it was clearly $ 3 drink nights, and people order two, why would she try to charge them $ 9? And later in the night, their credit card machine didn’t work, so we just ended up leaving because we all don’t carry that much cash on us. The police were pretty interesting that night. They drove by and then parked in the parking lot for a long time. Apparently, I heard there was a shooting there or something. Kind of scary. If there’s ever an event here again, I don’t think I would mind coming back if I brought a ton of friends.

I think it changed ownership in 2007 and it is now owned by a Korean woman singer. Beer is still tasty. I had some of the food from the Korean restaurant and it was tasty. *************************************** This is a good spot. Very laid back. It used to be a German brew house and they still have a ton of beers on tap. The owners are good people. The middle Friday of every month they host THEROCKSTEADYLOUNGE featuring mostly local and some touring ska, reggae, punk, and rockabilly. See for more info about this.

Pacific Palms is a cool place to chill and hang out. It’s a secluded bar here in Milpitas, but a gem once you find it. They serve food as well as drinks here. They sometimes have bands that come and play, along with a small dance floor where people can dance. There is a pool table and a backroom where I had seen poker games held. The kitchen and wait staff from Dave and Buster’s frequent this place after their shifts and it looks like a scene out of the movie«Waiting» where everyone just unwinds after a hard day’s work. Another great perk: liar’s dice. They have a set of dice and cups for many people to play.
