Payless Shoesource

I’ve always loved coming to this Payless but the years haven’t been so kind to this particular shop, and I say that with the upmost respect. They’re selections aren’t as good as they used to be and everything’s arranged in a cluttered manner –the jewelry being too close to the shoes and what not, but that could be just me.
On a positive note, the workers were very involved with me, today, and they certainly weren’t in a short supply of customers, which means that they’re doing something right :)

Extremely rude customer service! Came here with my mom and she picked out shoes that had a $ 16.99 sticker on it. We went to pay for them at the counter and the lady wit curly hair and glasses rang us up, she told us «your total is $ 35.00». We looked puzzled how is it $ 35? it says $ 16.99 on it, so we asked her why and she was completely rude, ripped the $ 16.99 sticker off and told us this is not the price for these shoes it was a mistake. I’m thinking to myself well you guys clearly aren’t doing your jobs right if the stickers are misplaced. Won’t be coming back here at all, Girl with curly hair and glasses you need to check your attitude!

I came in pursuing a specific color of flats and found exactly what I was looking for. They seem to have a wide selection for such a small store. Associates offered to help me and I was able to take advantage of the BOGO deal at the time, which they have often. Checkout was easy, and friendly. I am so happy to have Payless as a shoe store option in the Great Mall!

A few weeks ago, I came in looking for winter boots for my Halloween costume and in general. As I walked in the two sales associates ignored me and just kept talking away. While I was glancing the selection I felt lost and wasn’t sure where to find anything.
I walked up to the two ladies and the one gave me a dirty look. It seemed like I was interrupting their conversation. Then I just left since they weren’t obviously going to help me.
I will tell you this, I will never be returning again. The customer service is horrible.

I like the girl with the red hair and the girl with the highlights, they’re so nice!

What can I say? It’s payless, they’ve always been selling the same shoes since I was five. With the exception of Pumas and Shaqs. If i need quick dress shoes for cheap I’d head here, you’d only be expected to wear it… ten times though haha.

I buy my flip flops here. They carry durable, light and comfortable flip flops made by Airwalk that are on a bogo sale. When you buy 1 pair, you’ll get the 2^nd pair at half off. If I don’t find my size, then I order from their website at

I can’t believe I’m giving a Payless 5-​stars, but the sales associate who helped us was super sweet and helpful. She’s this adorable Filipino pregnant woman who noticed my Auntie, my cousin and I having trouble finding a pair of shoes in a different color. She walks over to us and says «Are you finding everything okay?»
We tell her about how my cousin is making her confirmation and how we love this particular pair of shoes, but need them in black. Without hestitation the sales associate says «They do come in black and I can call another Payless to check and see if they have them in stock.»
Mind you, this is at the Great Mall on a Sunday and there are people EVERYWHERE in the store. In less than 5 minutes, she comes back and says «They have them in stock at the Payless on Coleman and McKee. Which location do you want me to hold them for you, so you can pick it up?»
AMAZING SERVICE!!! She placed the shoes on hold for us and we picked them up at the Coleman store — she also gave us a $ 5 off coupon to! This lady should be given a medal or something.

BOGO!
I iove Payless for my kid’s shoes… especially since they only wear a pair for about 3 months. And it’s so cheap! I can let them choose whichever ugly character they are into and not feel guilty about buying it.
I just bought my daughter ballet & tap shoes. She loves them.
This store is a good size, but the people who work here aren’t too friendly. But what do you expect for the price you pay?
