So far I’ve been to this place twice. I feel like your experience here really depends on the staff at that time. The first time I came here I ordered a chicken half rice, half noodle bowl and the guy gave me pretty generous portions. Basically it’s how much food you’d expect to get with that size of a pot/bowl and price. The portion definitely filled me up and I was satisfied with my food. The second time I wanted to bring someone to try this place out since I had an ok experience the first time. It was a Thursday night and maybe two other tables eating there around 6:30PM. We both ordered the chicken bowl… and the guys filling it gave us SO little by the time I got to the end, I could still see areas of the bottom of the bowl and it wasn’t even full. My guest was more vocal than me and kept asking the guy to give him more of everything. He didn’t even ask if he wanted an egg at the end which they usually do(and he told them but they still didn’t give it to him). When we got our food, my egg was super over cooked, definitely no where close to looking like any of the other Unilocal photos or what you’d expect a Korean style egg to look like. I think after this experience I’m over this place… it was cool to try but nothing special.

I love this place! Its one of my go-to places after for a Sunday dinner after finishing work. I’ve never seen this place crowded, which kind of surprises me, because it’s a good meal and not pricey at all, but maybe it is more crowded during the lunchtime. The customer service is great, every time I come there I am greeted warmly and asked if I have any questions about the menu. It’s set up like a chipotle except for a stone bibimbap. For the rice/noodle, I recommend mixing half and half(I like the noodles and black rice). Spicy pork is pretty good and definitely get the fried egg for another dollar! The cheese on top of everything just adds a really great flavor and texture. Leave it for a couple minutes after it is ready to really get a crispier texture for the rice, but make sure you don’t let the noodles burn because it will stick to the bottom of the stone bowl. Great price($ 10) for a big meal that I often find myself taking leftovers to go or sharing with a friend. The short ribs are also very tasty! I wasn’t expecting much from them but I ordered them just to try. They were more on the fattier side, but I have been to many places where they have the same quality and quantity of meat for two-four dollars more.

Went there during lunch hours, and surprisingly the line moved pretty fast. It’s not authentic Korean food, it’s pretty much chipotle for Korean food where you can pick your protein, veggies, carb etc. I went with the sweet potato noodles as my carb choice for the sizzling bowl with chicken and all veggies. You pick your own sauces, and free unlimited kimchi. Pretty sweet deal for a quick and healthy lunch!

I was here once before, last summer, but didn’t go back since I went on a hot day and this type of food made me sweat so it just left me with that memory but I do remember it being healthy and good. I’m currently doing a cleanse with my boyfriend so we needed a healthier option to eat and we had no food at home. This seemed to be the only place that we were able to go(although Loving Hut is vegan, the amount of salt and sauce they had in their food was not good for us). While in line, we ran into my cousins so we had dinner with them(4 people). I got a sizzling stone bowl: Wild black rice, most of the veggies, beef & chicken, and one egg. We all got the bowls but I’m not sure what everyone else got but we all enjoyed it! Especially my boyfriend since he hadn’t eaten all day, to him it was heaven. He thought it was too good to be true so he kept figuring out ways to find a reason it’s unhealthy but there really isn’t any. Maybe the way they cook their meat or depending on the sauce you put on it, but he and I only added a bit of their original spicy. Aside from all that, it’s still a healthier option than other food establishments. Also another plus, you are in charge of the amount of sauce you get to to add and which kinds. A very big plus to the healthy freaks out there! Another thing I would like to mention, we actually ended up eating and talking for 2 – 3 hours there lol. The workers were nice and didn’t kick us out or anything but it could also be because it wasn’t too busy of a night so it could be a different story if it had been busy. Either way, I had a really good experience the second time around. I ended up taking my food home AND eating it the following day and I almost never eat leftovers.

My mom swears by this place, but it’s really just a Korean Chipotle… Anyways, I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a hit or miss for me. Sometimes they give a crap ton of stuff and other times, I feel like all I get is rice… They’re most known for their sizzling plates or better known as bibimbap. The process is simple. Choose your carbs(rice, noodles, or both), veggies and your protein(chicken, spicy pork, beef or tofu). You can throw on any of their special sauces at the end. For $ 9, it’s a pretty good deal, but again, they aren’t too consistent with portion size. I guess for the average person, it’s enough food though.(I’m quite the fatty.) The plate itself never really wowed me like other bibimbap places. Idk, it could be the fact that all their ingredients are just sitting out all day… They have other items on the menu as well. I was able to try their Korean cheesesteak, which is just a cheesesteak + kimchi. What was cool was they used a butane burner to melt the cheese that they throw on top. The sandwich was good, but other cheesesteak places give way more meat for the price. :/ Overall, this is a pretty decent place for fast Korean bibimbap. Don’t expect anything to fancy or of good quality. It will definitely fill you up though. 3.5÷5

Poor service. I’ve been here a couple of times and everything was good. Came here for lunch around 1pm and they didn’t have half of the stuff on the menu. There were barely any vegetable options, no seafood pancake, no short ribs or tofu… There was also no kimchi at the bar. Moreover, the portions are too small. Smh

Came here with boyfriend because I thought why not try something we haven’t tried and was met with such poor customer service. Appalling. It seemed like they didn’t want to deal with customers. Forgot to put in an order for soup? How. I don’t understand. When boyfriend asked about the soup the guy up front said«oh.okay.?» LOLUMOKAY. So they didn’t make it and we didn’t get the soup. but whatever. They didn’t charge us for it. the food was okay. Nothing super special. Not coming back.

Great healthy bibimbap, though I prefer my stone bow warm rather than super hot. This place is not the best decorated restaurant in town, but it offers good healthy food for a relatively cheap price.

Like what everyone says, a Korean chipotle. You can pick bowl, sandwich, or tofu soup. I chose the bowl(bibimbap). Got black rice, noodles, all veggies, cheese, beef. Staff were friendly. After putting everything into the stone bowl, it goes into the stove to be heated up. I went to go pay and got an order number to be placed on my table. After a couple min, my order was ready and before I finished getting the sauces on the side, the food was placed on my table by the workers. The bowl kept hot for a really long time and I liked being able to enjoy the food while it was still warm. Overall, the amount of food they put in the bowl and flavor were good. It wasn’t too crowded during lunch on a Monday. I would definitely come back and try the tofu soup.

chipotle style korean fast food. But actually not bad, really enjoyed the black rice with beef. The portion might be a little small for a male. Have to try the kimchi fries next time.

Came here about a week ago, and I liked it. I got my bowl with noodles and white rice. I didn’t know you could get half and half like that till the worker told me. I got everything in my bowl, but cheese. I added an organic egg too for $ 1.00. I got the«combo» but to me I don’t consider it a combo if it’s just your main meal and a small tofu soup… but alrighty. The tofu soup was good! It comes in a bigger size for $ 7.99 with more items in it. I thought the size of my sizzling bowl was a good size, I wish some of the portions were a bit bigger, but I’m pretty sure you could just ask for more of the item you want. I got chicken. The sauces you get yourself which is nice considering how I’m one of those people that always wants more than the portion given. The egg was cooked perfectly. I had to wait to eat my food for a good three mins after it came out since it was still very hot, but that’s a good thing. The tofu soup was very good. I got it mild spicy I think it was and yes there was a tiny kick to it, but it made the soup better. My boyfriend got the spicy pork in his bowl with all brown rice. He liked it. The service was really good! The guy helping us make our bowls was very nice and patience. Kinda tall wore glasses. The cashier was nice too. As he was reading back our order to us he thought we got beef broth, but it was pork instead. He didn’t get mad when I corrected him about. He apologized and made everything work. Five stars for those two who helped us! :] For a combo and an extra sizzling bowl it came out to be around $ 26, I didn’t expect to pay that much, but it was okay since I liked all the things we got. We didn’t get any drinks, just water. Overall, I do like this place and WILL be back! #AkemiApproved

Korean chipotle. I came here on a weekday night for dinner and there were plenty of seating, no wait, and good service. Environment — as you enter in, you will notice how big the restaurant is. There’s a front seating and a back seating if it gets too crowded. I just sat in the front because it was a weekday night. You walk forward and there’s a line to left where you can start ordering you food chipotle-styled. Everything is white and clean looking, so no worries about anything funny going on. I did see some flies roaming around. but then again it’s been like a billion degrees out here haha I don’t blame them. Service — the worker who took my order at the counter was very nice. She was patient with me and my friend when we didn’t know what to order. Then it turned out at the end that she gave larger portions than other workers. They have such nice service that they even bring out those sizzling pots to you. what brave souls haha Food — you have choices on what to get. there is soon tofu, cheese steaks(I don’t know why there are cheese steaks) and sizzling stone pot(aka bibimbap). My friend said the soon tofu tastes okay and there’s nothing wrong with it She also said the first time her non-Asian boyfriend came here he got the cheese steaks, but now he gets the sizzling pot hahaha Anyways… I chose the sizzling pot. Sizzling pot — you choose a rice(white, brown, black wild rice and/or noodles). then you choose vegetables. there were a lot and a lot of them I haven’t eaten in a bibimbap. so I just got some lettuce, bean sprouts, onions and beans. I heard that there was a cheese option too… but in this meal? I don’t think so. Then you end your choosing with beef, spicy pork, chicken or tofu. I had tried the beef and spicy pork which were both acceptable. All in all, I believe that this place has a very clever concept of promoting korean food. Who said that you can only build your own burrito bowl? Haha I guess this place is fun if you want to bring out-of-towners here :)

The bf and I were craving Korean food and we were in the area so we decided to check this place out. Essentially the concept is BYOB: Build your own bibimbap! You order at the counter, you pay at the cashier, they give you a number, and 10 – 15 minutes later you get your food(definitely not fast food). Instead of opting to customize a bibimbap, I got the tofu soup and Korean short rib combination and my bf got the Philly Cheesesteak. We also got a side of Korean chicken wings. I’m actually pretty picky when it comes to Korean food and needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. It definitely wasn’t lacking Korean flavor, but it was super bland =(! I ate it straight without noodles or rice and I could barely taste anything! Imagine if I did decide that I wanted to eat it with rice. As far as the cheesesteak… our lesson learned was never order a Philly cheesesteak from a place that doesn’t specialize in sandwiches. I mean I get it that sometimes pictures could be misleading, but seriously where is all the fillings? We stated that we wanted everything in it, but when we opened it up, we saw a tiny bit of bell peppers and a small amount of onions, and a very tiny portion of meat. My bf even took off the top half part because it was burnt and there was just too much bread going on Overall, this place just doesn’t do it for me and I don’t think I’ll be coming back

This new restaurant looked nice from the outside and has tasteful décor but the food was anything but tasteful. The soup was bland and looked like water with a dash of seasoning, the beef ribs were warm, but again did not have any taste(this usually comes sizzling hot) and the wings did not have any meat; they were deep fried and doused with Korean sauce. Definitely not coming back here again. Love the concept, but the food needs to be revamped! One star for the awesome fast food concept Second star for trendy interior

Fun eats! I ordered the combo — you get your sizzling stone pot, along with a small bowl of tofu soup. This is like the Pieology of bi-bim-bap — you get in line, choose your toppings, they cook your food and bring it out to you. The place was crowded when we came, but they brought the food out in a reasonable amount of time. I think it helped that they started the cooking process while you’re still in line waiting to pay. There are different sauces available for you to try. Get adventurous!

Alex was doing a good job serving all the hungry customers at 3 pm on Sunday. However, Alex wasn’t the one who made my dolsot bibimbap or kimchi jjigae. The person who made it was very slapdash about the process. She paid minimal attention to me, didn’t look at me when she took my order, and promptly forgot what I ordered when I went to check out. The food was fine, don’t get me wrong. I just didn’t care for the lackluster service.

The portion was huge when it arrived. I got the sizzling stone(if that’s the name?) with ½ noodles and ½ brown rice, all veggies, no cheese, and chicken. It took about 10 minutes or so to prep and they give you a number to keep at your table. When the bowl came out I was overwhelmed. It looks like a massive portion but once you begin stirring around the veggies and mixing in the sauces it becomes a bit smaller. I thought it was good but adding in the sauces you have to create the flavor of the dish. Having been my first time, I didn’t know what sauce combo would be best. The dish itself didn’t have a ton of flavor. Perhaps my aloe drink overwhelmed them at first with it’s sugary goodness because I felt my food was a bit blah. I’ll give this place another try but ask if they could premix some sauces or see what other options are available.

I loved my hot, sizzling clay pot bowl filled with lots of goodies!!! Excited to be a first timer here and having bibimbap, I felt like I better opt to add just about everything. Brown rice.noodles.beef.chicken.mixture of green veggies.mushrooms.tofu.edamame.kim chee.corn.topped with a sunny side up egg and sprinkled with cheese!!! Lots of good flavors here. Theres a lil station of sauces to choose from and I really liked the yellow thai curry sauce. I added this to mine and it gave my bowl a lil more kick, i just devoured all of it!!! Yummies!

Confession — I am addicted to bibimbap at Korean restaurants. When my sister told me that she knew of a place that serves giant sizzling pots of bibimbap for a decent price, I was sold. She took us to Sizzling Stone, and my first impression upon entering was — yes, as many others have stated — Chipotle. There’s an assembly line of food where you choose which dish you want from the menu hanging above(a sizzling stone pot or a tofu soup, etc.) and the workers will ask you what your carb of choice is. Brown rice, white rice, wild black rice, or sweet potato noodles(very similar to glass noodles). I opted for the wild black rice in an effort to be healthy, and the worker asked if I wanted to add noodles with my rice. I said sure, why not! I love me some carbs. After that, you get your choice of protein(beef, chicken, pork) and various veggies. I chose chicken and said yes to everything except lima beans. Nope nope nope. Can’t do that mushy texture thing. But everything else passed my picky taste buds’ test! Then, there’s a choice of some toppings. Cheese(weird, I know, but I said yes anyway because I was feeling adventurous) and an organic egg for an extra $ 1. Opt in for what you want, and then they’ll sizzle your stone pot for you while you pay, take your number, and wait at a table. Give them a few minutes, and they’ll come out with your piping hot sizzling stone bowl — be careful not to touch the stone! For sauces, you can mix and match your own concoction at the self-serve bar. There’s original spicy, sweet teriyaki, Thai curry, and sweet and spicy curry. I tried the curry sauces, but I decided that curry didn’t belong in my bibimbap, so I chose a mix of the original spicy and sweet teriyaki because I am a bit of a pansy when it comes to spice. It turned out to be the perfect combination. A sweet sauce with a little bit of a kick. Yummmm. Is this authentic Korean bibimbap? No, probably not. I have had better. But do you go to Chipotle for authentic Mexican food? Of course you don’t, so don’t expect that you’ll get the best bibimbap you’ve ever tasted here. What you can expect is a great value for your money, and a quick way to satiate any bibimbap cravings you might be having.

Second time coming to sizzling stone. Not a bad place for lunch. This is the chipotle for Bi Bim Bap. Pros: put whatever you want in the bowl. There are pre-made bowls. Can add an egg for extra $ 1. I suggest that you do. They have plenty of the red sauce to mix in the bowl. WHIPITTHROUGHTHEBOWL. Pros: nothing major. Overall. Will return
