I didn’t get what I ordered(I ordered something from the menu and the made it in the back kitchen, I didn’t realize what it was until I opened it later). For what it was, it was not too bad, but I wouldn’t get it again.

Pretty good except that it’s not always as fresh as I’d like being that they’re out on trays all day. I usually get the japchae & spicy chicken with cabbage kim chee. It always does the job. Nothing to rave about but then again, compared to all of the other crappy places to eat at in this food court, there’s not much competition.

First of all this is fast food at the mall! So don’t be comparing it a sit down one! This is good Korean fast food it’s fresh for fast food! And priced well I like their clear veggie noodle BBQ chicken with Kim chi and tofu, Kim chi may be little too salty to eat by its self, but not too bad! It’s good with rice,

Along with many reviewers here, service is really bad. Especially the woman at the register. I had to continually remind her what she forgot to put into my order. I really feel like they need to start treating their costumers better.

Service and price ruins what could be a 3 star place for mall food. The staff does not understand English well and are impatient. They have roughly a 40 item menu, but most of it is out of stock. Pretty much order what is on display. They are unwilling to make noodle bowls(I had to ask 3 times). The stock is good, but everything else is under cooked and rushed. The glass noodles and bbq hotplate items are tasty, but overpriced. They need to update their menu to show what they really have. They should stop serving noodles bowls. Their staff does a horrible job making it, the quality of ingredients in it are poor. By focusing on fewer items and doing them well they can increase quality and lower price.

Looks like my wife got food poisoning Saturday afternoon May 16. Wife sick last 24 hours. Impossible to be certain, but we believe it to be the Korean food(chiken) at the food court. I won’t try it again. The food seemed like the lowest quality.

The food here is actually good!!! but man the customer service sucks ass here! Nothing against Korean people(I love their culture and have had great experience in many different Korean restaurants) but the people who work here are straight up disrespectful!.. I asked one of the employees for a side plate so my girl friend and I can share but she wouldn’t give it to us! I was like really I paid $ 12-$ 15 and you can’t give my your $ 0.10 cent plate really? Plus when you walk up to them to order your food they just straight up ask you«What do you want?» instead of being polite. The employees look like they don’t want to be there plus when you work at an American Mall at least have decency of providing people with better customer service because its not like you guys have your own building! You guys can be easily replaced by food court that provide good customer and good food! So step your game up people! y’all know you didn’t even deserve a 1 star for your customer service but only your food!

Lady was rude and could not understand plain english. I ordered a ‘meat combo noodle soup’ I got chow mein, chicken and ‘beef’ in a styrofoam container. Wasn’t worth the trouble to try to correct the issue. Chicken was ok but one piece had a bone sliver. ‘Beef ‘was more like beef like substance. Chow mein was some of the worst I have had, zero flavor and kind of pasty. Looking forward to someone stepping up and putting something worth eating in this food court where every place but McDonalds and Cinnabon have fried rice and chow mein.

Sorabol is usually my go-to food in the Great Mall food court when I just want something quick and familiar and don’t feel like waiting too long for a line. The items I get include the glass noodles and the teriyaki chicken. For two items, I typically pay about $ 9, which is a bit steep for the quality/quantity. But hey, that’s what you’re getting for convenience, I guess. Plus, I never finish my food feeling hungry. Overall, a decent option if you’re looking for a fast and painless meal.

The worker there moved the chicken filet pieces to give me the scraps on the bottom not even fit for samples! Do not patronize this poor excuse of a food court establishment!

It’s mall food typical. Laced with too much salt and low on portions of the veggies. But its pretty much what you’d expect from mid to low income mall offerings. If you’re really hungry while walking through this mall… it’s a once stop for Unilocalers to review kinda lunch. I had traditional kimchi and it was decent. I’m not recommending though today!

Agree with all one star Unilocalers regarding the price. My problem was the broccoli. They charge you $ 2 for 4 pieces of broccoli. I was like… What? So I told them to put it back and they were like oh you should have told me earlier bleh bleh. Ok first, the menu does NOT mention anything about 4 pieces of broccoli will cost you $ 2 so I didn’t know. Second you asked me whether I want broccoli or not when I clearly stated I just want a chicken plate so why even bother to ask me in the first place? I used to love Sorabol so much but it is way over priced due to owner’s greediness. I felt like the only thing we can help to restore the quality of this place is by refusing to purchase the OVERPRICED food until the owner learns the lesson!

Very rude service. This is the most overpriced place in the great mall food court. The food is never fresh. Chicken tasted cold and it was hard to chew.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience here due to the mediocre service. It was about 30 mins to closing time when I made my order. The only woman on the line served me and she didn’t have the least bit of enthusiasm. She saw me, goes«sample?» and handed me some BBQ chicken on a toothpick while she looked around the mall behind me. I told her I wanted the two item plate. I’ve had Sorabol before so I was super excited as she got my plate ready and asked if I wanted rice or noodles. In the San Francisco locations we get two scoops, rice/rice, rice/noodles, or noodles/noodles, then two types of protein or whatever choice we want. I couldn’t decide between the rice and noodles, so she goes, «half half?» and I say okay. So far so good. Then all of a sudden, she just starts putting the BBQ chicken on my plate when I didn’t ask for it. I was taken aback but I thought to not make a fuss about it since the BBQ chicken was yummy and I get to have two items. So then I inquired about the beef that I wanted and she tells me, «that will be extra.» What? «I wanted the two item plate,» I told her. She goes«Yeah, the noodles count as an item.» First of all, why would she offer me noodles, saying«half half» if it were to count as an item? Secondly, if it was an item, why didn’t she notify me? It made no sense and I bitterly paid for the meal, which came out to be about $ 10. It was not worth it and I couldn’t even enjoy my food because I was so upset. DEFINITELY not coming back to this location.

I am honestly judging all the Unilocalers who wrote 3 star or higher reviews for Sorabol. Since I was craving Mogo’s and was basically hypoglycemic, I decided to make my way over to Sorabol and pick from their sorry selection of Korean food. Granted, it was 30 minutes before closing and they were probably packing all the food so they didn’t have to throw it out(or save it for the next day?) I decided on their Kalbi with Japchae and my total came out to $ 10 and some change. $ 10 for 3 pieces of Kalbi and a plate of noodles? Really?! REALLY?! The Kalbi was very bland and underwhelming and the Japchae was decent, but very oily. Ugh never again!

I love Sorabol, but this one doesn’t quite hit the spot. The spicy chicken plate that I got was more like spicy potatoes and some chicken. I prefer the ones at Emeryville Public Market and Westfield San Francisco.

Combo C is my favorite! I replaced the rice with extra noodles. It’s not bad for a quick food court korean fix! Not the freshest kimchi but still pretty tastey! Portions are huge!

Surprisingly, Samonim(The Woman Owner in Korean) improved her menu! The Kimchee was not fresh, but the grilled eel was delicious.

SAYWHAAAAAAA? Great Mall’s Sorabol only has two and a half stars??? I’ve eaten at the one in Oakridge, and i personally like this location better. The food looks more appetizing. I have also been to the Sorabol in Concord/Eastbay. and THAT one is probably the worst one of all! If you don’t know what to get, just ask for a sample. They’re usually really nice about that. as long as you don’t sample everything they have. lol. I’d recommend their combo plates. You can even ask them to substitute the rice with noodles and if you’re not a fan of kimchi you can ask for another side dish to go with your meal. I usually get the lemon chicken and bbq pork combo w/fried rice. & kimchi(combo B)… Overall, this place is pretty good for food court food.
