Food quality is bad. Also the place is not clean. There are far better indian places in bay area.

Flavors were great. Not too sweet or spicy. Thali was low on quantity. I would just order Roti and vegetable next time. Didn’t care for the plastic trays either. But overall the food tasted delicious. The chaat items and Dhai vada were good.

Amazing taste of a particular Indian cuisine(Gujarat) which is vegetarian, very subtle and harmonic. I got introduced by a colleague who knows this kitchen inside out. Amazing experience for foodies. I tried the daily dishes for lunch(thali) and came back for more specialties. I love these thin wheat cups filled with a taste explosion. See the picture from another Unilocaler. Don’t know the names but that will not hold me back.

Very good place for vegetarians. Many options and authentic Gujrati taste. Their thali is very good, I love their daal and fulka’s the most. Their fulka are very thin and made me feel like I am eating at home. It has the right portion to satisfy your hunger for one course of meal. Other items which are worth a try are Pav Bhaji(Bread with vegetable curry), Shrikhand-Puri(Indian sweet yogurt with bread), Dabeli(very close to burger) and Ragada Pattice.

Very rude person who takes the order. And the food served in the thali is cold. Being the only customer sitting in the restaurant consisting of 14 tables, one thing you expect is good customer service, which they lack. Not coming back.

Must try — Thepla, Undiyu, dahi sev puri(so much flavor, that you can’t stop eating) Just pure and home-made gujarati food. Love it.

Really liked the undhiyu they had as a special. We tried some pav bhaji and dahi puri as well, both were delicious. The service, however, was poor. We went there around 8.45(9PM was closing time) and we were told it was okay to place a second order after 9. So we placed our second order which was accepted, but 10 minutes later we were told that they had closed the kitchen and were cancelling our order. Also, we ordered a drink with our first order which was again accepted, only for us to find out later that they were out.

Went today and had two Thalis and chat. Day by day quality of food is going down. We ordered chole and there was no taste and also it did not had any gravy was looking like just water and few spices were added up. Probably, won’t go here next time.

Not sure why their thalis are priced so much. The take hell-a-lot of time to serve anything For the price, items are served in cheap plastic. Attempted multiple times, expecting more. But, it gets only one star.

Amazingly tasty food. Appearance of this place is misleading. Food is awesome. We have generally had Snacks. My personal favorites are Dabeli and Bhel Puri. I have heard Thali here is good too. Definitely will try their Thali next time.

The place has some specific items that I like, rest are mediocre. The phulka/roti is the highlight of this place, softest thin rotis — awesome! Undhiyu is very good — spicy and crunchy. Pav bhaji is tasty. Paneer bhurji, puri — shrikhand and basundhi are pretty good as well. Home-made style which I like. Chole and other sabzis are usually not that good. Business style is archaic and borderline rude sometimes. Prices are low to average. Overall, for the aforementioned items, I find the place pretty good.

Food was mediocre! I have tasted much better Gujarati food at cheaper prices and most importantly which doesn’t mess up your stomach! I would never return!

The young tall guy at the counter has the WORST customer service skills. He is rude, snatches the credit card, just no social skills. Also the food is just alright. One of the dishes they served was stale. Ain’t going back here, you don’t too.

This is my go to place for quick, cheap home style Gujarati food, specifically Undhiyu. You can’t beat their price. I have had Undhiyu at other places and have been disappointed by the lack of authentic flavors. Their Undhiyu has the perfect blend of the right spices, vegetables and balance of crunch and yumminess. This goes well with their Roti Shaak. I have also tried their Chole Samosa, which I recommend. Their Dhokla and Khandvi is passable and demotivating. I made a quick stop this morning just for their Undhiyu, but sadly it was missing from their menu. Apparently the Undhiyu in-charge lady has gone on vacation :(. Will wait until she comes back soon.

Very ordinary food for the price we are paying. Rotis were hard. average veg curries .the portion in thali was very small. Plastic Cutlery and cheap plates . Cash only or Only specific cards allowed that too with additional charge !!! Very rude way of talking to customer. I would Never recommend it to anyone …

There was a stone in the chaat and the owner didn’t even apologize! In fact he argued about it being a mung. Steer clear of this place.

I love gujarati food, so when I found out that they have this restaurant in Milpitas and we were on our way to a Santa Clara county park nearby(and very hungry), we did not hesitate to pay a visit. The interior is much bigger than you can imagine from the outside(a non very attractive strip mall) and is extremely clean. The service is super friendly and the food is as delicious as I was expecting: methi tepla was perfect(3 slides of that awesome bread, very filling with the yogurt and the tamarind chutney). Algo got kachori and ragda samosa to share and we had more than enough for 2. Level of spiciness is perfect and the chai was also fantastic. On my favorite list from now on.
