My family went here without checking at Unilocal.Well, I figure, let’s try it cause we came here to get some bread at neighboring bakery. Cleanliness– fail! you can tell from the table, sauces, bowls where they serve noodles, not clean at all. Customer service is a joke! I understand that most Chinese are serious and straight when you talk to them. But when it comes to serving, at least a warm smile and greetings goes a long way! It brings more customers in! For the main dish– seriously, huge oil, oil grease in the soup! Ordered #2, since thats the only spicy one according to the server, so I went for it! It has those white, fat, thick noodles! My husband ordered #7, super oily again! Pork, all fatty parts are floating on it! I admit, it is cheap, for $ 5.75, but quality? none at all! We didnt finish our food and just left! CASH only! I ask the cashier, why only cash? He said, I dont know. I think the noodles are all pre-cooked, and the soup is already ready soaking in oily stuff, thats why its pretty fast after you order. Will not come back again! I still feel the grease in my mouth right now. Would not recommend. Yes it’s cheap but ain’t worth it!

I always order #1, not bad. As for service, Asian places usually never come back over and check on how your doing.

I came to this location because all the other ones I’ve been to around San Jose has disappointed me. Once again I found a fly all the way at the bottom of my soup I felt so disgusted knowing I ate 85% of the soup. The TK in San Jose by SJSU had roaches, and then when I went to eat at the TK on MCluaghin I found 3 nose hairs and the thick ones too and I figured 3rd time is a charm and went to this location. I notified the server and he was kind enough to give me a brand new soup, but overall in my opinion I won’t eat at any TK noodle in general every again flys and nose hairs is what I think of when I go to a TK noodle for now on. So save you time gas and money and eat somewhere cleaner than a TK noodle.

Update, a few months later. Wow, has this place gone down hill fast? It’s a pretty dirty restaurant floor and the rest rooms are atrociously bad. I would NOT use these rest rooms. Soup is still OK. Pricing, now, nothing special(bowl of noodles used to be $ 3 — limited time). Then went up to $ 4.25, then $ 5.00 and now it costs $ 5.75. No longer a good deal, just OK. I was there for an early dinner(615pm) and I was one of 3-persons in there. I suspect that when they raised pricing($ 5.75/bowl — one size, now, large); lots of people went to the one on Calaveras(near Red Lobster). It is cleaner, better atmosphere and for a little bit more, the presentation is better(along with the quantity of noodles) I am seriously thinking of not using this one, from now on? .

I had the #3 noodle and a Thai tea. No flavor they didn’t have fish sauce, my noodle had bones I nearly choked. The Thai tea also lacked flavored … Oh yea cash only no cards

Just nasty… that is all. Ok details… I love eating at the one at the Hub in Fremont(even though they have a different name, it’s basically the same stuff). So I’m hungry in Milpitas and decide to eat here. Had to seat myself as the host/hostess was nowhere in sight. He finally came out of the kitchen, spotted me, and came over with a menu. I order #17. Went to use the bathroom and there was probably only one little tiny bulb in the ladies restroom. It was dim as hell in there. Kinda creepy but whatever. On my way back I pick up a fork from the little condiment area as I’m not chopstick savvy. The fork had 3 prongs! Ok whatever I can deal with it. Soup came, it was ok and edible. Meat and noodles. The funny thing was the server brought me a slice of lemon stuck to a fork. He didn’t want to set it on the table so he insists I grab it. I did notice it was a 4 prong fork so I used that one to eat with. I finish quickly and went to go pay. There was another customer waiting to pay and no kidding we had to wait a few minutes for the cashier/host to finish his cigarette outside. He was moving mighty slow. I just wanted to get out of there! The nastiness is the jelly coconut drink dessert I ordered. #47. I’ve had it before I don’t think it was supposed to taste like that. Can’t even describe it. Also noticed the ice bin had a plastic basket holding shaved ice to separate it from the regular ice. How clean is that thing? I will not go back. Although they must be doing something right as they have been there quite a long time. The place isn’t filthy dirty, but it will leave you with a sticky feeling after.

I’ve been coming to TK noodle as a child so I have a special affinity for this establishment. I wouldn’t say their food is the best but it’s the only place I’ve eaten the flour cake at(aside from in Asia). I would recommend ordering that. I’ve had their wonton noodles before but I don’t think it’s that good. You get large portions of food for the price! Typical Asian restaurant with no nonsense service. Huge space and there’s lots of room to sit and eat. I’m skeptical about how clean the tables are but hey I’ve eaten street food in SE Asia so I think my body has built up enough immunity for a few germs.

Is this a foodie paradise? No but it’s a good chain for good VietNamese food. I’m being much more pragmatic. Red wall covering and table cloths are fine – for people who want to pay for them. I’m more interested in the taste of the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I picked up a buddy from Great Mall after her work day and we were looking for something vegetarian for her. When it comes to VietNamese food, I would rather skip the meat, except maybe for Banh Mi. We were driving around the area, not seeing much but fast food places. Then, suddenly, this shopping center was in front of us. It’s full of good Asian restaurants. We’d both been to other TK Noodle locations and thought that it was a good choice. I really wanted to try another flour cake but I like daikon so having the same one again, at a different location this time, was compelling. She got the Shrimp over Rice, which seemed more Chinese than VietNamese. People at this location were friendly and patient. It wasn’t moving as quickly as the Story and McLaughlin location, thankfully. Food arrived quickly, as if it was a high volume restaurant, without the high volume at the moment. It was good. Is it great? Ask someone VietNamese. I like the food, and it seems a better choice than any fast food, including Chipotle.Coli. ;-) I almost got a coffee but the tea was good.

Cheaply priced, large portions, average sanitation and poor customer service. I think the man serving us had given up for the night. No smiles or vocal acknowledgement. I didn’t care too much for the service. I was sick anyways and needed a good bowl of porridge. Their combination porridge was just right for me. The meat/chicken/shrimp pieces were few though. It was defintely a very large portion and I ended up eating only a third of it and packed the rest home. They charged an extra 25 cents for leftover containers. I’ve never encountered that at an establishment before and thought it was quite a stingy move. We ate, paid, and left quickly. There werent much people eating there, which makes sense actually.

Just received a very cold reception at the counte with no eye contact from older female. No acknowledgement of our presence when she stepped behind the counter. After standing in front of her a couple of minutes as she wrote on a pad we said politely«Excuse me» and received a rude-toned«Hold on.» Still no eye contact. How dare me? Was so bad we just walked out. Still no eye contact as we did so. Wondering if my darker shade of skin made the difference. Vung Tau 2 next door was happy to take our money.

Came in here this afternoon to eat with a party of 8. Big mistake, the waiter was not capable of handling a big group. Orders came out wrong, and one item never came out. We asked them and they brought it out towards the end of the meal, but then tried to charge twice for it. Sorry but we only got our flour cake once. On top of that they came out after us suggesting we did not pay for our entire bill. Turned out that they were trying to bill us for someone else order. Highly doubt it was intentional, but surprised they mixed it up. To top it off. The hot sauce at the table is not Sriracha!

This is the best TK Noodle around hands down. The portions are better and the flavors are more pronounced. Don’t expect to order a small because there is only one portion here and that’s large. The portions are much bigger here with the price being still within $ 7 for most of the dishes. The things I don’t like here are the dim lighting(they rarely use the lights), CASH only. make sure to bring cash, the service can be good/ok at times, I wish their employees were more attentive and efficient with refills and cleaning tables. Otherwise this is the BESTTK ever lol

I’ve been going here for about 8 years already and I still come here today. Compared to other TK Noodle places, this one is one of the more cleaner and roomy locations. The prices are cheap and the portions are great for the price. Additionally, they cook the food fast and togoing food usually takes less than 5 minutes. My favorite is the #6 Combination Rice Stick/Noodle Soup with the soup on the side. You then add some the Housin Sauce(black bottle) and chillis for flavoring. I recommend the #28 Fried Egg Flour Cake and the Thai Tea(which is only 1.25) NOTE! THEYONLYACCEPTCASH (They do have a atm, but u know, charges)

Prefer the New Tung Kee Noodle House on Calaveras. Same menu items but more welcoming atmosphere and not socially«dead» compared to this location. This location needs a serious update or some renovations because it reeks oldness! As previously mentioned, they offer the same menu items at equal prices. #23 Combination Crispy Fried Noodles — Childhood favorite. Love the sound of the crunches while I’m eating good noodles! #1 Combination Rice Stick Soup — My go-to menu item when I’m feeling sick or under the weather. Love the broth. #30 Fried Taro Egg Flour Cake — No TK Noodle experience is complete without ordering this baby. Dip it in their sauce and you’re golden. #463-Color Bean Drink — When I’m feeling rich, I order this. It’s a unique drink and tastes oh-so-good!

Came here because we had such a great experience in the Newark one. But we went too early at 9:30am and they don’t open till 10am so we came here instead. We ordered the #1 and #3 and right off the bat I noticed the wonton and meat balls were hard and just not as good of a quality like the other location in Newark. Will not come back.

I give this place +1 stars for being so cheap! Went to TK Noodle for the first time ever and was pleased. It was a really cold day and I was craving something warm and soupy, so the Number 1 noodle soup really hit the spot! The broth was nice and warm, but the meats within were really mysterious and I was horrified to find that the meatball had a bit of a crunch to it. WHY?! The ratio of meat to noodle to soup was around 1:4:5. I felt full afterwards, but felt like it was mostly from noodles and soup. Lastly, I like that this place offers free hot tea! Not sure if I’ll be back, but thankful that there is a cheap noodle soup option to keep in mind for the future.

not wowed by the pricing of soups and noodle dishes(6ish). from prior experience, proteins are scarce in all the dishes. menu: various noodles, soups, drinks, coffee drink: salted plum lemonade(1.25) –really salty, didn’t taste lemonade –packed full of ice, noticed ice water poured on top. lemonade skipped? 2.5 stars. drips: –service performed without a word spoken by server/cashier. –interrupted her while she was sipping something. –mostly«molded plastic» booth seating didn’t too comfortable… for me…

As many others have stated, they have raised the prices. Most soups are now $ 5.25. It is still a fairly good deal, but it might be worth paying a few bucks more and going somewhere else. As always the taro cake is delicious so stick with that and you’ll leave a happy customer. I tried the beef satay and was honestly a little disappointed. My girlfriend had the hu tieu mi combination and that was better. All in all, prices are up to $ 5.25 for the cheapest soups. If you want a quick bite and great prices come here, but don’t expect anything amazing.

They don’t have the $ 4 – 5 noodle soup specials anymore! So disappointing because I’m sure that’s the reason a lot of people frequent this place. I’m not about to pay $ 7+ for a bowl of noodles when they serve it to be with a huge side of attitude and a b*tchy face.
