I really don’t like giving 1-star reviews because I know it’s not easy to run a small business, but I had an experience at this place that deserves a 1-star. I called in advance to schedule a massage and requested a female masseuse. The person on the phone said no problem, so I arrived at the appointed time. Without asking if I wanted a foot massage or body massage, a woman led me to the back to one of the body massage rooms. I explained to her that I wanted a foot massage. She looked disappointed and led me back to the front and had me sit down on a massage chair why the front desk guy made a phone call to request someone else. They brought me a bucket of foot tea to soak my feet in while I waited for 20 minutes. Finally, a guy shows up and gets ready to start my massage. I said«Wait a minute, I called in advance and asked for a female masseuse.» The guy at the front desk said that for foot massage I don’t get to choose male or female. I was really upset, especially given the fact that I called in advance and then waited an extra 20 minutes. Apparently the women that work here prefer to do the more profitable body massages. They could have told me that on the phone and saved me a lot of time. I put my socks back on my wet feet and high tailed it out of there. I ended up going to a place across the street where I was able to walk right in without an appointment and get a good foot massage from a friendly masseuse. If you’re looking for a body massage, this MIGHT be an OK place to go, but they treat foot massage customers as second class citizens.

A day at the Outside Lands Festival called for a day of pampering, so I thought. I decided to book us an appointment at Top Spa the next day because our feet were killing us from walking to and from each polo field/concert yards at GGP. Well, was I wrong… as soon as we walked in Top Spa, we noticed two recliner chairs in the front with a zen like water fountain and two flat screen TVs. For $ 20, we had the works… so it seemed like; they soak your feet in a a hot tea water tub, give you a body massage and at times, I felt like screaming in pain and with the pressure we both received — felt like a Chinese torture treatment. I didn’t expect the uncomfortability pressure factor; otherwise I should’ve taken our business elsewhere. However, it did cause a running inside joke between the two of us and made a great conversation piece amongst our friends.

Awesome place, I take the chair massage with the owner — Stephen. He is as good as it gets. Very few people are as honest as this guy. And not to mention, very very good at what he does.

Just got off a long day of work? Sore from stress and stuck in traffic on 880? Why not go get a foot massage?! Top Spa offers foot massages and body massages. You pay for what you get. The best deal is $ 20 for the foot massage. For the $ 20 foot massage they soak your feet, give you a nice shiatsu body massage, and a foot massage for one hour. The spa is small, clean, and relaxing. There is a bit of a language barrier because the employees don’t know how to speak much English. They are fluent in Mandarin. I come here with my mom who speaks Mandarin so she takes care of all the talking for me. The massage therapists are friendly and hard working. Top Spa is located in a dark little plaza next to 7-Eleven so keep your eyes opened. Feeling hungry after your massage? Go next door to the delicious and cheap shanghai restaurant. Make sure to call ahead to see if they have any availabilities.

I’ve been there twice in the past week. If I had written this review last week, I’d have given the place a 3.5−4 stars given the price level. It charges $ 20 for a foot massage and $ 40 for a full body. The rooms are small and you don’t get the«spa» experience but for $ 40, one has to be realistic. However, I went today, and it was a terrible experience. First, there weren’t enough massage therapists there, so I waited 25 minutes. The manager/boss was doubling up on the massage and he was on the phone all the time while his poor client just sat there. When my therapist came, he soaked my feet and started massaging. Because I waited, they placed me into a room to «make up» for my time. During my time in the room, people’s phones were ringing like crazy. Then my therapist’s phone rang twice and once he picked up and talked while continuing to work on me. Then his phone rang again and instead of putting it on quiet, he just let it ring. He started to work on my calves while I was facing down but he forgot to put a pillow/roll beneath my legs and the table was hard as a rock, so he was actually hurting my knee caps. I had to tell him to put the rolls underneath. The 2nd time was definitely a bad experience and I couldn’t wait to get out. I was going to leave $ 20 there and not tip(only time ever for me after a massage) and one of the ladies asked if I was going to leave a «sou fei» e.g. tip for the«shifu». I told them«bu shifu» and just walked out. I couldn’t believe they were so tacky as to ask for a tip. My Chinese isn’t good enough for me to explain my bad experience, but not sure if I’ll go back again.

Worst massage of my life! Suzanne talked on her cell phone the whole time while trying to massage me. I think I lost half my scalp to her nails. Dreadful dreadful dreadful.

I am a connoisseur of foot massage. I travel all the way from the city for this place. If you take a membership, ten spots — use one for foot massage, two for full body — it costs $ 17.00 for a one-hour foot massage(you can’t get that at home), $ 34 for a full body. Otherwise, still incredibly cheap at about $ 20& $ 40. They are extremely friendly and provide excellent quality massage. Helen, Susan, and I don’t know how to spell it but her name sounds like Zing-Zing are all wonderful. Helen and Zing speak excellent English. The boss, not sure of his name, is a male who is welcoming, gracious, and provides excellent massage. Previous negative review of this place is off base in my opinion.

Keep in mind I’m a budget concious consumer, who prefers location, courteous service that can be customized when it comes to massages. Locally in the south bay, I’ve been to Massage Envy, and In Spa. None of the massuses compare to the one that took care of me today at Top Spa.
I just got done with a weekend snowboarding trip yesterday so my legs and back have been super stiff. My homie recommended Top Spa bc it’s where he goes for his weekly messages after stressful work days. Atmosphere is def cozy. The previous review about the noise is def true; it’s a small place and the rooms don’t have an enclosure to block the sound. All that didn’t matter much when it came down to what I got for the price. BTW the prices must have changed bc it was $ 35/Hr when I went today. My friend reccomended the 2 Hr but I figured I’d be OK to commit to a 1 Hr to at least try it out first. The main reason I gave Top Spa 4 stars is bc of the massuse that took care of me. Helen was very attentive to the pressure that was being placed in each of my muscle groups. She checked in when she would move to a new area asking if the pressure was too hard or soft. She was on point most of the time. With each muscle group she felt where I had the most tension and was able to give me more focus in those areas to help get the kinks out. I was semi-limping when I came into Top Spa, but I walked out feeling awesome and able to walk comfortably. Remember how I said I was a price concious consumer? I tipped Helen a $ 20 for how well she took care of me.

I’ve been to a few Foot Spa places and since this was just down the street from my house I decided to try it out. When I first made the appointment I mentioned that I wanted a male massage therapist and my friend wanted a female massage therapist. The guy who answered the phone said yes they are both available. We went to our appointment and the female massage therapist was still working with a client and that we would have to wait. We decided to stay and try it out. We had two male massage therapists. We both did not enjoy our massage! The guys there are rough! Even if you tell them to «Go Slowly»…they are still rough! It was not relaxing because the reception area is close by and they talk very LOUD! Would not recommend. Sorry Top Spa :(

My friend pretty much dragged me here to get a message. The location itself looks pretty shady. And, normally I wouldn’t even walk into a itsy bitsy ghetto plaza like this for anything other than a beer. However, inside was pretty nice. It is run by some chinese people and they are very nice. Their english isn’t the greatest, but they are understandable. I never really got a professional message before, and after this, I didn’t think it was a «OMG» moment. It was enjoyable and a nice relaxation time. It was definitely cheap. It was $ 20 per hour for a feet/body message. I heard that just a feet message was $ 17. If you become a member(which pretty much means you buy at least 5 hours in advance and use them whenever) you only pay $ 17 per hour. It is much cheaper than I expected. Not a bad place to go.
