Baldino’s Giant Jersey Subs

This is easily my favorite sub shop in the metro Atlanta area. So glad they opened a location in the north Fulton suburbs. The sandwiches are made on fresh baked bread. All the ingredients are fresh which makes for the perfect sub sandwich. Be sure to check out their daily specials. Lunch for under $ 4 … You can’t beat it!

Order was completely wrong, four things were incorrect on one sandwich. Regardless, the bread wasn’t fresh and I couldn’t even finish the sub, not good at all. Firehouse and Publix has ten times better subs.

Hubs and I just moved into the area and were lamenting the lack of good sandwich places when low and behold… BALDINO’S!!! Thank you so much for existing so close to my house!!! Just finished a half Sicilian and it was FABULOUS! Perfect amount of meat and cheese and vegetable. It didn’t ooze with oil and vinegar and had just the right dusting of salt I love the food, the location, and the price! I WILL be back! Thank you, Baldino’s!

So far this place is better than I remember. The subs are a great crafted balance of meat: bread:veggie ratio. The staff is friendly and they speak when you enter! It’s still very clean inside.

This is the nest place to get a sub. The 24 is amazing, and they have the best steak sub, the 19 is great. The soup is also so good.

Been eating at Buford hey location for years. Best sandwiches around. Try it… you will like it!

Hands down, the best sandwich I have had since Sub Station ll in Smyrna closed a few years ago. I had the #25 and it was delicious. The bread was amazing. The meat and veggies so fresh! Perfect amount of oil and vinegar. And the pasta salad was divine. So glad they opened an Alpharetta location!

Went here for lunch, had one of the days special chicken stir fry with extra hot peppers and sweet peppers. Taste was excellent though I did add some shriracha and cholula on top, as I do like it spicy, got the taste of herbs and spices right thru and it was really on the spot as is though something had a vinegar tang which kinda was off putting, don’t know if it was the pepper selection or something else, but not something that overtook the overall taste which was great.
Don’t know about others, but both mine and my colleagues sandwiches were bursting at the seams with meat.
This was my second visit and I’m surely coming back again.

Very good subs and the bucket of spaghetti with meatballs was unbelievable. I’m really picky about sauce and meatballs as the ones in restaurants are always very dense and not very tasty. Baldinos meatballs and sauce rock and my kids love them too. Very impressed.

OMG!!! This sandwich shop is amazing!!! Great service and awesome food. I had the Smoked Turkey and Provolone slightly heated. The bread was so freaking good that I almost ordered another sub. And they have weekly specials.

Where’s the meat??? Very disappointing that it really doesn’t live up to the other reviews. We will stick with our usual sub shop.

SO pleasantly surprised to see a location open over here! Been going o the one in Marietta but no longer live over there. The grilled American special on Thursdays is awesome! Love the pasta salad!

1^st time eating at Baldino’s, thought it was very tasty. When they have Giant Subs in the name, they mean Giant! The ½ sub was plenty big and the whole was just huge, so you can get another meal out of it :). We had 2 grilled subs the American and the Italian (I wouldn’t swear to those names, but close enough) Yummy! We’ll be back.

Had the Thursday special for $ 3.87 (combination 4). Delicious and the price is unbeatable.

Longtime customer of Doraville location and was excited about one opening in Milton. That excitement was squashed after visiting last week and our bread was stale, guy who took order was clueless, and of course it was all wrong.
Nobody in the place and did I mention the bread was STALE!!! How old was the «day old» bread they were selling?
Awful!

/TL;DR
As far as sandwiches go, I prefer other kinds to subs. Baldino’s has given me pause on that. I’ve been twice since they’ve opened and have enjoyed both meals. I’m so glad that another sub shop opened up in Alpharetta — partly cuz I’m sick of going to Jimmy John’s.
/​ATMOSPHERE
Ordering is up front. Menu is extensive. There are plenty of seats if you’re dining in. If not, there’s a nice, long bench you can sit at while waiting for your sandwich. There isn’t much more to explain, really.
/​FOOD
I dunno how to sum up how good a sandwich is. You got the usual selection of toppings which come on your sandwich if you don’t tell them to exclude it. After that, you can pick some other stuff — including hot peppers. Basically, you can tell them exactly how you want that sandwich. I usually go with the default. It’s worked on the American and the toasted Italian.
Baldino’s runs a daily special which is different each day of the week and rotates out every month. The specials are all day and runs –
$ 3.79
– that’s right. Dinner for two? $ 8. I recently had the Hot Italian. It is, by far, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had out of a sub shop. The bread they use is really good. It’s not cylindrical like what you’re used to. It’s flatter and wide. Really wide. The «half» will really fill you up.
I confess I wasn’t too crazy about the macaroni salad. I’m not a fan of things rich in mayo. If that’s your thing though, you’ll like it.

Bangin’. I was there on their first official day after soft launch — just by chance. They were very pleasant and helpful. I’ve gone since and experienced the same great treatment.
