OK, yes… let’s get past the elephant in the room. Yes, this is fast food. My expectations are not very high when reviewing a fast food joint. With that said, I’ll start with the positive. The sandwich I ordered had fresh ingredients. It was made quickly, and tasted fine. Now the negative: I had to ask twice to put more veggies on the sub. They really are skimping. I joked that it’s not like subway where I get it «my way», and think my humor was lost on the lady making my sandwich(but the lady behind me found that amusing). I asked one more time for more onions, and was informed that she could not and that it would ruin the taste of the sandwich. First, she wasn’t the one eating it nor paying for it. Second, the customer is always right. I feel she was just being stingy. If I’m paying 8 bucks for a sandwich, it wouldn’t kill them to be a little generous with veggies. You know that their competition does, for less money. Too many options within walking distance that will give me what I want a smile and no argument. I gave 2 stars… both being for taste and quality, and held back 2 for bad service(4 being the highest total I’d ever give a fast food establishment).

These sandwiches cost a bit more, but they are, after all, some big ass subs. My first foray in Walmart dining, I first came here after filling up half a cart to make sandwiches, and realized it would just be cheaper to just buy them at Blimpies. Since then have come back a few times. Their Veggie Max is a very decent vegetarian option. Service at the counter is almost always friendly, with a few things lost in translation, but overall they really want to earn the business.

Eight. Eight dollar. Eight dollar foot long! Yeah, just about every sandwich here is eight bucks. I seem to remember another chain sandwich joint that offers five dollar sandwiches, I just can’t seem to remember who. Hummm. This is the Blimpie in Walmart on Windward. If you put a gun to my head, I’ll admit to going here from time to time. I don’t know how they stay in business with sandwiches at that price. Probably because schmucks like me fall for it. The folks here are nice, just don’t be in a hurry. The sandwiches are, well, they are Blimpie in the Walmart. Sometimes I get a hankering for a Blimpie sandwich covered in more oil than the Louisiana coastline. This place fit the bill. Yum.
