I had the hot laps today .a friend had the fritters. both were yummy… Usaly a big group goes to the snow ball derby. give me a O give me a V… give me a A… give me a L. OVAL !! Thanks for the years of being stuffed like tick! And many food comas. Oh yeah. i forgot about COLDBEER .YUMYUMYUM.

The staff is friendly and non-pretentious. The décor is Formica table tops with padded metal seats. It is casual and relaxed. Impossible to be underdressed. You can finish cutting the grass, and come as you are. Patrons are friendly and could easily be your neighbor. The burgers used to be something to look forward to. No more. The burgers USED to be made by hand from fresh/never frozen ground beef, thick and juicy. The burgers NOW seem to be factory made Sam’s Club specials. The burger patty was thinner than the tomato slice and thinner than the onion slice. The ‘Quarter Pounders’ across the street at McDonalds are 1⁄3 the price and have more meat. I mentioned the obvious change to my waitress, but she denied any change in the burger patty. The change is as obvious as the difference between a McDonald’s chicken McNugget and a Chick-fil-e’ chicken breast. Hopefully, they will return to their roots, and bring back a burger that was worth driving for. ‘Myrtle’ would not approve of this new change.

We were traveling through Pensacola. Decided to check Unilocal for lunch suggestions. The Oval Office came up on the list. Short way off I-10… Thought… Why not. Its a small place with auto racing décor. I ordered the grilled ham & swiss on rye with homemade chips. Nice sandwich. The chips were a bit greasy but still crunchy. Hubby ordered the hamburger, with fries. It was cooked to order snd seasoned properly. It was voted«The Best» hamburger around… We see why. It was all very, very flavorful. We felt it was a great find.

Thank god they took down the«voted best burger in town» sign. Wasted 15.00 on a sams club burger with sams club bun. Think patties, frozen fries, the president would fire his cheif of staff if they fed him this garbage.

I love this place. The myrtle burger is phenomenal. You can’t go wrong with it. Their wings are also good. Laid back atmosphere.

Enjoyed the burger cooked med rare spot on. Waitress could not have been nicer. A few locals at the small bar were friendly. More restaurants would be luckily to have such great service.

I started making an occasional stop here back in 1997 on suggestion of a local family member. It’s a great place to try.

My first visit was very pleasant. The waitress I encountered on my second visit was argumentative and clearly irritated. She walked away as we were speaking with her.

Delicious burgers and great staff quick service is always a plus would recommend!!! Burger was cooked perfectly as I requested it. Mozzarella sticks were good a bit pricy but hey they were delicious. Myrtle burger comes smothered with onions and cheese and is well worth it! Big burger!
