Oh my… I’m happy. Currently eating the pulled pork sandwich, smokin D dog, and baked beans. The pulled pork sandwich is perfect. First off, it’s $ 7 and huge(see picture). Tender, moist, flavorful, very smoky. I guess that’s not too surprising considering the large smoker is active and located adjacent to the food truck itself. The bun that came with it is soft, a little sweet, a pleasant surprise. The hot dog is also yummy. It’s topped with the same pulled pork as above, and refreshing coleslaw. The beans are flavorful as well. I think it has a sweet flavor and some spices i can’t quite pinpoint yet; maybe next time I’m in the area I’ll have a stab at it! The only cons were the 2 sauces I had(original and hot), as I’m not a fan of very vinegary sauces. The hot tasted like the original, only with spices added(rather than having its own flavor). But this was only a small issue since the meats were already flavored well. The 2 people working the truck were also friendly. Would definitely recommend this place!

Now I may be a bit partial considering the owner is family, but I’m also a Texas girl and we know our barbecue! We stopped by during a private party for a birthday while up in Rehoboth and the food was incredible and great for a crowd… And believe me, I will be searching until I find a cornbread recipe even close to what they had…

On our way to Lewes for vacation and we saw this place on Rt. 1. Can’t go wrong with roadside BBQ, right? This place was good and hit the spot after a long, hungry drive. I had the Smokin’ D’z hot dog: a hot dog topped with pulled pork and coleslaw. It was delicious. I would have preferred that the hot dog not be boiled, but the toppings more than made up for it. The pork was tangy and flavorful. The coleslaw did a nice job of cutting the richness of the meat. It was served on a nice, sturdy roll that held up under all the deliciousness. My mister had a pulled pork sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. Definitely worth the stop.

Take out order of a rack of ribs, 8 oz coleslaw, and two pieces of corn bread. Fall off the bone ribs had an excellent flavorful rub and nice smoke flavor. Coleslaw was a good basic one, not especially exciting, but crisp cabbage and carrots in a creamy dressing. I found the corn bread to be too soft and moist, but I have a personal taste preference for a slightly crisper top and a stronger corn meal flavor. My wife found the classic sauce to be too vinegary and replaced it with KC Masterpiece from our refrigerator. I liked the sauce. This is excellent bbq.

On out way to dogfish brewery we drove by this place and decided to go back and check it out. That was a very decision as we almost missed the best ribs on the east coast we’ve tried! The baked beans were great as a side.

It’s really hard to find decent bbq in this area. Luckily driving home from the beach we spotted the sign and decided to pull over and try it. Such a great decision because this is definitely some of the best bbq I’ve had in a really long time. It’s authentic and they even have 3 different choices of sauces. I got the classic sauce to put on my pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Not only was the food amazing but the owners were really nice. I highly recommended stopping at this spot if you’re hungry and looking for a good place to eat.

Excellent pulled pork. Delicious taste, texture, moist and tender and flavorful. I tried the classic red sauce and it was good. They were out of ribs, and out of Mac and Cheese, that was a disappointment, but is was Sunday afternoon and they closed in about 2 hours. Friendly service, adequate outdoor seating. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich so much that I ordered a pound of pulled pork to take home. If you’re in Lewes on the weekend and want BBQ. This is the place.

Friendly family establishment with fall off the bones ribs! Few options but all were fantastic. Really enjoyed the traditional red sauce but the meat was all so tender it didn’t need sauce. Would definitely come back! Sitting in traffic? Stop by!

Pretty good. I am not a fan of BBQ, but the people I was with really enjoyed the food. The farm animals were fun and the farm stand/store were nice. The people were very friendly.

The long road back from the Delaware beaches passes past this blink and you’ll miss spot off the main road. The gf and I were hungry and we were right between all the places in Rehoboath and *shudder* rest stop Roy Roger’s. We pulled in and had a difficult time deciding, even though there are only 4 main items on the menu. While we were deciding another group went ahead of us and the owner wanted to know of a good charity to donate to. Apparently, it’s something they do every year, do a fundraiser where all the proceeds go to a local charity, color me impressed. I ended up with the Smokin D dog, while the gf got the half-rack and cornbread. I got the vinegar sauce while I got the hot for the gf while she went to wash her hands. The dog was pretty good, the pork was soft, and the vinegar sauce was delicious. I was still a little hungry but the gf couldn’t even finish her ribs. I should have gotten her the vinegar sauce as well because the hot was just ok. There was enough for leftover to make lunch for work the next day so, for $ 12 it’s a pretty good deal

Visited Smokin D’z Real Pit BBQ this past Summer because my husband and I love food trucks and trying new places. We pulled up and immediately they opened their screen to greet us. We then ordered BBQ chicken, coleslaw and cornbread. The chicken was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Very moist and succulent. The place is family owned and mom and son work inside the truck while dad grills/cooks outside. As we ate our delicious food, the chef(father) came to talk to us, which I thought was extremely nice. We will definitely go back!

Outstanding food! Cornbread is best since my grandmother’s. Ribs are fall off the bone and smoky. Chicken is flavorful with just the perfect crispy skin. On top of the great food, you’ll get great service. I love the location as well. You can grab a bag or two of fresh Delaware produce, turkey hill ice cream and baked goods. The kids can even be entertained by a small zoo of farm animals. I will be back to this place on all my future trips to Rehoboth.

Scrum-diddley-ump-shus!!! Traveled over 3 hours from the dirty jerz to kick it back and relax with Norman(NORMMMM!) After a long and extensive night of drinking, I arose from the couch after several hours of Re-lax-she-achh-shi-oun!!! After stumbling throughout the house and into the kitchen, I gazed upon an empty pantry accompanied by an urge for an idea of the perfect, delicious, mouth watering, savory, juicy, tender, flavorful and magically whimsical lunch. What could satisfy this hunger you ask??? Rounding a Milton Township corner as a single ray of light bursted through the clouds and lead me to my destination, Smokin D’z B-B-Q. The Gods of Barbecue had spoken. There it stood, the bright red trailer at the end of the rainbow basking in all it’s barbecue glory. I approached with no hesitation as broken sea shells caressed the bottom of my feet. I described to the handsome family about the fire burning so deep inside of me, for a pulled pork sandwich smothered in a home made B-B-Q sauce, accompanied by a succulent piece of corn bread and a home brewed sweet tea that would make your great great great GREAT grandmothers mouth water. I sat in awe and watched this familial unit work in unison to satisfy this man’s quest for a perfect lunch. Before I could even provide the coins needed the aroma swarmed my senses as the platter was presented before me. I whisked the platter away to the luxurious seating options which afforded me a one of a kind dining atmosphere. Then it happened, I proceeded to take my first bite and it overwhelmed my taste buds and took me to a place so forbidden yet so pleas-ur-able! As this delicacy practically melted in my mouth I washed it down with the sweetest of sweet teas that made me weak at the knees(good thing I was sitting down). At last the journey for the perfect lunch was ended, with just one bite I felt the presence of the barbecue Gods by my side. So, not only did I discover arguable one of Delaware’s best road side B-B-Q’s stop, I found an American owned family business that I am proud to support. If you’re proud to be an American, you should do the same!

Loved everything about this place! I had the pulled pork, hubby had the hot dog with BBQ pork and slaw. Definitely recommend this place to anyone after a long day(or drive) at the beach. Would go back for sure

Driving to the Delaware beaches late Saturday afternoon — We ‘re hungry and the next to the last thing I want to do is wait in line at some busy restaurant. The very last thing I want to do is cook! Wait. Take a right! I see a sign for BBQ! We stopped at Smokin D’z BBQ and I am sure glad we did. Located next to Dawn’s Country Market in a fancy BBQ trailer, we found home cooked BBQ at its best. We each ordered pulled pork sandwiches with some baked beans and corn bread. It was delicious! It really it the spot. We brought it home to eat. Lewes is just minutes away. Rehoboth a few more minutes down route 1. They also serve ribs, chicken, and something called a «Smokin D Dog» which I will be back to try. A family run business that I am more than happy to support. Currently, they are only opened on Saturday and Sundays but they also cater. Yum. Thanks for being there, Smokin D’z.
