Really flavorful food. We got the Californian made into a salad and the portobello sandwich. One of the employees came and gave us two free cookies even on the house. Only negative was when I asked if the coconut milk was sweetened the cashier seemed unaware that there was sugar in it. But she was happy to investigate and accommodating of our vegan tendencies. Love this place :)

I met a friend there for lunch this week. Upon entering this easily located site that sits on the 2nd floor of the Fruit Center Market, you are greeted by a display case filled with the most beautiful cakes and other sweets. The coconut cake and lemon rolls are on the list to try next visit. This day’s lunch special offered 2 soups, a tomato fennel or a creamy cauliflower. The sandwich du jour was a turkey(not the deli kind either), sundried tomato, mozzarella with an avocado mayo on a crispy chiabatta roll grilled Panini-style. The turkey was a definite yes in my book even though some of the other tasty selections stood out as well(next time) Then we spotted the Mezze station. We decided to share both the sandwich & the mezze. 3 choices for $ 9 that included French style white bean salad in a tasty vinaigrette, roasted root veggies, grilled chicken breasts and zucchini fritters(& here it comes) served with a curry/lemon/yogurt sauce that was so unbelievably delicious, my friend and I put it on everything– including the turkey Panini. I had to ask one of the staff what was in this delightful concoction. She left to check and came back with the Plate’s owner, Vickie, who presented me and my friend each a small container of the addictive condiment. She also graciously described how she made it! The food here is very creative, high quality and very well prepared with great attention to detail. Staff is friendly and helpful. They serve brunch on Sundays and from what I have heard, is equally as spectacular as their condiments!

Delicious cold-brewed coffee! I’m lucky enough to work down stairs at the Fruit Center so I’m never far away from my new addiction!!! I bought my husband a house made coconut cake for Valentine’s Day and it was pure heaven! The cake was super moist and the frosting was creamy and delicious. Looking forward to trying more items here!

Great atmosphere however extremely pricey. I was sold on the Brisket sandwich as it was the only sandwich offered during Sunday Brunch. However with a $ 13 price tag, the sandwich had very little meat and was similar in size to a homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Portions are definitely not in line with price. It was my fault for paying for a $ 13 sandwich to begin with but I was hoping it may be worth it, as soon as i saw the size/weight of the little box it was in I should have returned it. I mean what is there profit margin on this item? Must be well over 75%. Price gauging? In an effort to be constructive and not completely bash this place I think they need to reevaluate their pricing and portions to better serve the resident of Milton. They certainly have a chance to serve the more wealthy residents and this must clearly be their target market as I can say for sure I wont be back unless more value can be offered.

Great quality, artisan food! The sandwich offerings are just as superb as the central ave location, but the expanded cake/dessert selection and coffee options put this place over the top! The staff is always extremely friendly(Katie rocks!) and I look forward to going there when I’m in the area!!!

I was excited to learn that another Plate location opened within a block from home. I loved the original one and couldn’t wait. I decided to go with the tuna sandwich per the cashier’s suggestion but a part of me wishes I didn’t. Although freshly made, there wasn’t anything«artisan» about this and it was a little on the dry side. I also remembered the other location having more specialty sandwiches like the meatless banh mi, the chickpea burger and the butternut squash panini. Any of those would have probably made my stomach a lot more happier. I live and learn. As this is a neighborhood hot spot, I will be back to try their other sandwiches and breakfast/brunch items and hopefully will report back with higher ratings. Definitely passing on the tuna next time though.

Had brunch today and tried the griddle cakes with caramel, banana and cashews with a small cup of coffee. I ordered and paid at the register and was handed a number(no other communication). With my number I chose a seat assuming my meal would be delivered to my table. Someone approached my table with a cup of coffee and stated«I guess you didn’t hear me call your name». Feeling chastised, I proceeded back to the front of the store for cream. Then the food arrived. I was told I needed to pick up cutlery. Back to the front of the store. No butter or condiments were provided. This was not a meal or experience worth $ 13.00. There was ample staff. Taking the time to welcome guests and provide guidance would improve the overall experience. When delivering food, asking customers if they need anything else would be the best customer service.

My husband and got soup for our lunch today. Both were amazing. His tomato fennel was thick and rich with lots of flavor. My cauliflower bisque was silky and delicious. This newly renovated space is airy and really attractive with a great vibe. Staff members are upbeat and informative. We’ll definitely be back for lunch or breakfast another day!

I am so excited about the Plate opening at Milton Marketplace! I’ve been a longtime customer at their original location and am delighted that they have brought their tasty menu to East Milton. I have yet to order a sandwich or salad that I didn’t enjoy. Their ingredients are always fresh and delicious and the baked goods are the perfect way to finish a yummy lunch(although the heavenly chubs remain at the original location only). The Plate’s service has never disappointed and despite being in a brand new location, with new staff and menu items, the service is still quick, efficient and served with a smile. Kudos to the Plate team and welcome to East Milton!

Sorry. I don’t know what all the hype is. I don’t care got Central Ave and now I don’t like this one. Expensive boring food. Had an eggplant parmigiana panini. No flavor — no sauce, no basil, no garlic. A few nice herbs would have made it shine. My friend had turkey meatloaf sandwich. Again, too bland, needed some flavoring in the meat and maybe onions, fresh or carmelized. Wouldn’t rush back.

The new location is open and looks great! It’s bigger, it’s got lots of seating and a small«good morning muffin» instead of the chubs offered at the other Milton location. The breakfast and biscuit sandwiches are still there and will keep us coming back.
