Such a cool coffee shop! The ambiance is laid back and comfortable. I ended up getting a pound of coffee to take home with us! Thank you for the great service and delicious coffee and pastries! Will be back on our next visit to WI. :)

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Coffee and baked goods were scrumptious. 5th star to get my coffee to me in under 5 minutes. Wasn’t busy so shouldn’t take so long to get a simple cup of coffee with one shot. But was worth the wait definitely!

Lovely coffee shop with what might just be my favorite coffee in town. I truly do love it here, but if you’re in it for the long haul to study or work I don’t think it’s the most comfortable option. But for meetings and such this is a great spot. Bright and airy with lots of seating and long tables. Also, get a chocolate chip cookie! They are to die for. They also serve beer at this location, in case you need something more than coffee ;)

Excellent pour-over coffee. Had some wonderful soup and a good bagel. Atmos is great. I really enjoy this café.

There is nothing bad to say about this place: 1. The space is gorgeous, and huge. Sure, they could do more with that odd space near the bathrooms, but overall it feels genuine while still holding a trendy vibe. The mixture of new and modern with the existing brick and wood is ooohh so nice. The long sexy bar, delightful. 2. The coffee is delish. My preferred brew of the local choices. And… they serve alcohol. Caffeine and booze should always be served together in my humble, yet frequently voiced opinion. 3. They play Sirius XMU on the radio 4. The staff is your somewhat expected youngish indie-esque crew marching to their own beat, but they are authentic and sweet and do not exude the vibe of hipster exclusivity. 5. Placed in the lovely little WP neighborhood. We can only hope it stays as charming as it is and doesn’t blow up into overly gentrified oblivion.

If you like good coffee then try this place. Great flavor and smoothness and bold enough to get you going all hours of the day. The building and space are more than quite nice. Big seating area with shared tables or high tops. Warehouse feel with wooden floors and industrial décor. There is a stage for nighttime music acts and on one Sunday a month they have kid/family entertainment. Also serve alcohol with lots of local brews to choose from. I never eat here but they do have snacks. Parking is fine during day on the street but nighttime gets crowded as all of walkers point gets filled with activity. They roast beans on site and offer coffee classes. Walking in when they are roasting is a heavenly smell. Get a cup to go and wander around walkers point — new stuff opening every week in this up and coming neighborhood.

Beautiful, with great coffee and terrific service. One of those places I could sit in all day. The décor and atmosphere is chill but somehow vibrant and alive, too. Really want to check it on a show night. Don’t miss this place if you’re in Milwaukee.

A great coffee house for twenty something’s in Milwaukee. A great atmosphere that has music and a cozy stage area. They brew their own organic coffee and there is more than enough room in this massive coffee house that resembles some seventieth century English version than any Starbucks you could find on any strip corner. This coffee House was hard to find and again it seems to be dominated by the student artsy crowd giving it a deserving vibe and important feel sense of place. third place for many.

I work from home and always looking for a great place to get some work done. I love going to Anodyne for their quick service, good coffee, and spacious seating. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a good place to study. There is a stage that I have seen a few performers at and each on was surprisingly good for a late afternoon performer.

Great set up for getting some work done, lots of plugs, we’ll priced coffee, and lots of tables. Only downside is the the chairs/stools aren’t the most comfortable and there’s only 120 min of WiFi when you purchase something. Will come back when I have work to do again!

Spacious and usually quick service. Workers are for the most part usually always pleasant. There’s maybe one or two that kind of sometimes don’t deliver but I’ve only experienced them very few times in the many times I’ve been there. Wish they had other hot things to serve even though I know they don’t have a kitchen to support that. Would be great to boost their business to compete with Collectivo.

Anodyne is probably the best roaster in Milwaukee, but I was blown away by how much the Walker’s Point location goes beyond being just a good coffee shop and more of an event space. You wouldn’t think people would have wedding receptions and community events in a coffeehouse, but in a large open area like this, it’s a great way to take advantage of the space in a neighborhood that’s becoming quite crowded. I never thought that more than a decade after graduating from Bradley Tech I’d be sitting in a trendy coffeehouse overlooking it in the middle of this significantly revitalized neighborhood.

Coming from San Francisco, I was a little hesitant about checking out the Milwaukee scene initially. Then I was pleasantly surprised by a couple local shops such as Valentine & Stone Creek. Encouraged, I ventured out to Anodyne Coffee. The setting is big and spacious. Perfect actually. And there’s 2 hours free wifi. So far so good. The sour taste started the moment we got to the counter. The lady behind the counter was dismissive. Almost like what you would expect from the latest trendy hipster café in SF. Surprising since all my midwestern café experiences so far had been nothing short of amazing politeness. The first cup of Capp was great. Well pulled. A hint of bitterness, just enough to give a bite. Well foamed milk. Encouraged, I went back for my second in a bit. This one had a far lower standard. The espresso tasted burnt. Either tamped too much or pulled too long. It was quite a disappointment and I took it back to the Barista to request another one. She was quite offended and very vocal about it. ‘Burnt espresso is not a thing. What, the milk wasn’t hot enough for you?’. After a bit back and forth when I told her it maybe was the tamping, I don’t know, and her replying that she personally tastes every single cup(?!) before serving it, I got a second one. This one wasn’t burnt, but out of spite she plopped the milk and foam on it. Needless to say, I’ll be going back to my Valentine.

After a year in Milwaukee I thought I’d finally check out Anodyne! It has all the things I like: good coffee, a great space, board games, friendly baristas! But the chairs are so uncomfortable, it’s hard to sit for too long. And maybe it’s just that my expectations were raised after hearing about it for so long, but the coffee wasn’t that spectacular either. It’s fine, just not something I will drive 20 minutes from my house just to get. Overall, I would go back, but I’m not in love.

Descriptive phrase: spacious and chill coffee shop. I’m not a huge coffee drinker, nor do I frequent coffee shops to knock out some work on the laptop. That being said, the Walker’s Point Anodyne location may convert me on both counts. We came on a Wednesday afternoon to find the place pleasantly-filled, but it’s so large you’ll never be bumping elbows. I appreciated the large tables to spread out on and the generous amount of wall outlets. An order will get you 2 hours of WiFi. My black coffee was definitely good, and it’s all ground right behind the bar in the back of the warehouse. There’s a space for events and concerts that was unoccupied at the time. Everyone was very nice. I’d absolutely recommend Anodyne if you’re looking for a cup of pick-me-up and a place to work on your memoirs.

Here from San Francisco to run the Milwaukee marathon and stopped here for coffee and a scone the day before. I love the industrial décor — the whole walker’s point is awesome — and the coffee and pastry were awesome. In Milwaukee? Who would have thunk it?

Best single origin coffees, best cappuccino, and best espresso I have ever had. My go to place for all coffee desires. I prefer this location to the Bay View location. Why? Three reasons. 1. More parking available 2. Bigger, brighter, and more hospitable 3. Walker’s Point is on my way to the Highbury Pub on Weekend mornings During the semester I take the Green Line here to do my school work on Friday mornings. The staff is always friendly, but sometimes a bit casual making drinks. Not a problem, I am a patient man. Oh, and just recently have stepped up their food game and added salads and more bakery items. Colectivo has always kicked their booty in the bakery scene, and rightfully so, but maybe Anodyne isn’t going to take it anymore? Twisted Sister approves.

Being an out of towner in need of a coffee fix, I checked Unilocal for what was around me and discovered Anodyne! I love the simplicity of this location and that it’s basically a hall with a stage, tables and ample room to move around. I found out they were closing for the evening for a wedding which I thought was genius! The space is perfect for it and hello-coffee! The staff was wonderful, my friend and I chatted with them about our visit while they were making our drinks but I’m sure you don’t care about that-lets get to the important stuff like their coffee! I got the Honey Bee Iced Latte(a honey vanilla latte) and it was heavenly. Just a touch of sweetness and perked me up for an afternoon of fun! Fantastic location and local coffee!

Absolutely love the coffee! A large variety of robust, aromatically pleasing coffee. :-) the atmosphere is wonderful too-antique radios along the wall, a stage for bands. Friendliest staff too! Although I may be biased because the two people that assisted me also sang little mermaid hahaha!

They have a nice set up(including a stage) at their walker’s point roastery and bar. The coffee shop and a much large footprint than most of the other shops around town so there is space for a group larger than 4. There beans /espresso is my favorite from around Milwaukee. This is taste based. It’s much less acidic /bright than stone creek’s green bike roast. And those same notes also come through in the coffee, which bares awesomely well with Sunday brunch mixology.

Best local coffee, period. Anodyne’s new Walker’s Point location is great — plenty of space to spread out and work, lots of natural light, an open floor plan, and a stage area for chill performances. It feels modern and relaxing inside — like a place I’d like to work. Plus, though there were lots of people when we were there, it wasn’t loud, which is of course conducive to getting things done if you’re there to work. We stopped in to pick up some coffee for our french press, and we got the house blend and the Brazil decaf. We also ordered the quiche Pierre, since we had just finished up at the gym and were in desperate need of protein. The quiche wasn’t impressive, unfortunately(it was greasy and without real depth of flavor) but that was a small spot on an otherwise pristine experience.

What is it about coffee shops? Maybe I’m not enough of a regular/caffeine junkie that I still always feel cooler by walking into a good coffee shop. I feel smart. I feel literary. I feel hip. I certainly feel that way walking into Anodyne. It’s warm and cozy, even without comfy arm chairs. There’s lots of tables and spaces to work and there’s usually plenty of people«working from home» here. Laptops abound. The coffee is good. Really good. My husband has a newfound snobbery for coffee and he’s found a couple favorites from Anodyne. He always gets whole bean, because if you’re not grinding them yourself, don’t you dare call yourself a coffee snob. But, you can certainly order a cup while you«work» or read or catch up with your cool coffeeshop pals. They also offer Rishi teas(only for drinking — you can’t buy tea to brew at home), some edible treats, and there’s a selection of beer, just in case you are in the mood to live dangerously and mix your caffeine and drinking habits. I’ve also had the pleasure of attending a private event here, and it was a great space for a medium sized event. I don’t know what the planning process was like, but it was a great venue, there was enough parking available, the staff were friendly, and things seemed to be executed well. The imaginary version of myself that hangs out at coffeeshops all the time and wears skinny jeans likes it here a lot.

Rustic, charming, and spacious. This Anodyne location is a great meeting spot, event location, and work space.(Hint: usually far less noisy here than some other MKE coffee spots, making it great for conversation or working). My first visit to this location was for a wedding reception — and it was beautiful. Now, I enjoy sipping on a café au lait while listening to good tunes — WiFi is a bonus. While I type, they’re playing«Sunglasses at Night.» Stevie Nicks, Huey Lewis, and more have been on tonight’s playlist… oh yea, this is my kind of place. Limited food menu here, including some bagels, soups, quiche, and other light items. They also so alcoholic beverages here, so it’s a great meet-up for any time of day(or night). Stage area allows for some live music and other events, and you can even rent the place out!

Thank you for the bike parking! See me precious review. This was my only complaint! One month old or new, however you want to look at it;) To reiterate-I just love this space(sorry Bayview). Open, yet warm, and inviting. Hands down the best/smoothest coffee in Milwaukee. The husband likes this location best since they serve adult beverages for the non coffee individual. I have to admit, I am a bit excited for their public market location to open:)

Five stars for Anodyne’s second café location! Conveniently located in the flourishing Walker’s Point neighborhood, the café fits the scene in a renovated building. The inside space is beautiful with natural wood tables and huge windows. Great place to work, read a book or catch up with a friend. Outdoor seating is available in the summer. One of my favorite parts is that they have four beers on tap. My favorite is the Snake Oil Espresso Stout brewed by their neighbor, Milwaukee Brewing Company. The Anodyne Brown(also by MKE Brewing) is good too. And they have Cake Lady cake like their KK location! It tempts me every visit. Bonus: Newly added bike parking.
