I’ve been to the Bay View Brew Haus a number of times in the past for various reasons: to go to shows, to see shows, for BCB afterparties, and for special events. That said, it’s been awhile since I was there last. PROS: –large venue space, so you’ll catch local shows and events and the like, which is nice(the more venues in MKE the better, IMO) –space to dance/get down/boogie, if one were to feel so inclined to do so –cool, old space(available for rental too, if I’m not mistaken, so there’s that!) –situated in the heart of BV right on KK, so it’s not hard to find CONS: –I’ve noticed that it does take quite some time to snag a drink from a bartender here, and I’ve noticed that on multiple occasions. As an ex-bartender myself, I usually cut a ton of slack w/this, but there’s definitely a pattern here. My guess? The bar is just much too much too small for the space, and when the space is full, the tiny-ish bar simply can’t keep up. –Parking can be a bit tricky. It’s not awful, but you may have to park on a side street behind the venue if it’s real busy. For now, I give BVBH an A-OK! I’ll be back this Friday night for a friend’s going away party, so I’ll probably be able to update my review then, and add a bit more in the way of detail.

Interesting to see a «brew haus» with flat beers and Jagermeister on tap. The staff was friendly enough, but the place is cavernous for an off night with no bands. It’s obviously set up as a live music venue, but without the bodies, it feels empty and lacks charm.

Had a great rocking good time watching Mike Jarvis, Howard, Mike Benign and the Compulsion, Jokers Henchmen and Golden Coin. Good acoustics at this location, nice bartenders and plenty of parking all around. I am happy to see local talent in Milwaukee. The entry has quite a few steps to get up and in. The layout has two pool tables near the front door. A band stage, and a few bench style seats and brew Haus tables that are moved aside for swing dance nights. They have two large screen TVs but did not broadcast the Brewers?

What is up with the bar tenders? AWFUL! I have never stood so long waiting to be noticed. And not friendly what so ever. Forget it! But if you do go, maybe for a band you love, dont use the restroom, disgusting!!! Francis D– seriously!!! bartender won the contest at their own bar??? WTF? When they get new owners, clean it up, hire decent tenders; let me know, it is a nice building at I’ll consider going back.

First things first, they serve Moscow Mules in copper mugs and I have heard claims they are the best Mules in Milwaukee. I can not attest to this because they are so good Steve ran out of ginger beer last night. The bartender/owner Steve is really great. He hopes to make his own beer soon. One of the weird things about this place is it’s a little TOO large, but at the same time feels small, like the corner bar where people go to chat with strangers. I think it would be impossible to go here and drink without making a friend, it just has that energy. There is a dart board and pool tables. I have heard there is usually live music on the small stage as well. Definitely worth the visit.

It had potential, but after a great evening with Fresh Cut Collective and even winning Halloweeen costume contest, they demoted me to 2nd place and gave the prize winnings to the bartender instead. =(Until next Halloween, I imagine the place will be vacant, but I’ve no desire to return.
