Close to my place, decent prices, friendly staff. Actually, $ 2.29 for a 24 ounce bottle of St. Pauli Girl is a steal. Siskel and Ebert gave this place 2 tumors up.

You don’t need a lot from a liquor store, except a relatively clean shopping area free of bodily fluids and loaded weapons… and that’s why I prefer Bluemound Beer & Liquor! It’s in a non-sketch location, clean, will not overwhelm you, and provides a decent selection without skimping on the good stuff. From my limited understanding, it is family-owned, and they are knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. Prices are fairly standard and if you want the whole enchilada, BBL also sells cold mixers and snacks.
Not a bad drive if you live in West Allis, Wauwatosa or Downtown Milwaukee and want a place you can find a good selection without a hassle or the feel of walking into a huge liquor emporium.
