About two weeks ago my wash machine gave up. After putting off laundry for weeks… there was no escaping it. After volleyball I loaded up the laundry basket and dropped it off at the Laundromat on Bluemound — right next door to George Webb. I can’t say I’ve ever given them a chance, nor have I been in a rush to do so, but pancakes were dancing around in my head — so I headed over. There was one other girl at their [breakfast] bar, and one four top towards the back. It was about 6:15 so that wasn’t great… I ordered two pancakes and bacon, which was $ 6.95. The pancakes were huge(pardon me, WHEATCAKES), and they were oh so good. They gave me separately packaged butter and separately packaged syrups, but it was fast service and piping hot pancakes. The three strips of bacon were laughable, but that’s what I’ve come to expect at places like this. The service was fast and the food was hot, I walked out spending $ 10.

George Webb for breakfast is a steadfast family tradition. Especially when waiting for service on my car at Bluemound Auto down the road. Cheap, fast and satisfying breakfasts. This location is obviously loved by local regulars, with friendly banter with the wait staff. Classic Milwaukee diner. I’ve never had a problem getting seating right away.

This is a classic of sorts for me when I come back to WI. This location seems very friendly when you enter. Apparently they have their regulars as employees know the patrons names. Basic but yet tasty breakfast food. Very locally interesting history to George Webb. Go brewers!

HOWDAYDODAT?! I had my first George Webb experience recently and it was better than expected. I’ve seen the ads for offers like Six Eggs, Twenty Bacon Strips and Two Gallons of Milk for a $ 1.05 and whatever shit you have in your pocket at the moment and am like«HOWDAYDODAT?!» HERE’S HOW: The ingredients are, and this isn’t a knock, really cheap. White flour, white eggs and potatoes compose most of the menu. It’s like a Waffle House meets McDonald’s Dollar Menu. ORDERED: I ordered a basic hamburger and french fries with a Sprecher Root Beer. The soda cost more than the food did! The burger was mostly bun and rather bland. The fries were of the skinny almost McDs like variety. Satiating but not satisfying. FRANCHISE: $ 75,000-$ 100,000 start-up cash; $ 304,000-$ 346,000 total investment required(source: ) WHO’S WITHME? COOPERFONT: I really like George Webb’s identity. It’s retro and fresh at the same time. The logo on the signs is the font Cooper that’s been roughened a bit.
