Cinnabon

Terrible customer service and disgusting cinnamon roll.

I had a coupon, so one day I decide to treat the kid and her Bestie to some Cinnamon Buns. It didn’t end out well, but the management here turned a bad trip into an impressive display of superb customer service.
I walk up to the counter, order a pecan caramel Cinnabon ($ 4.39), a large cherry coke ($ 1.99) and a Minibon, which was free with my coupon. I was charged $ 9.64, which I questioned but the guy assured he didn’t overcharge me. He offered no receipt. Instead of getting hot in the middle of a crowded mall over $ 3, I decided to enjoy the time with the kids and try to get a hold of management.
I went home and sent out an email through the Cinnabon website. Within a week, I had a very apologetic manager call me back, assure me that I was overcharged, said I would get refunded and offered me two free Cinnabons for my troubles. I would have been happy with just the $ 3, but they went above and beyond. I went in a week later, the manager gave me two Cinnabons and $ 3 and some change. Perfect.
If that wasn’t good enough, Cinnabon corporate sends me a handwritten letter a week after that apologizing and explaining that this is not a corporate store but a franchise store. They offered to help anyway they could and sent me a coupon for a free Cinnabon. They went way out of their way to make up for a mistake and they should be commended.
I like the Cinnabon but they tend to be a little too much to finish in one sitting. The Minibon is the perfect size for those of you that don’t have anyone to share with. I thought the Pecan Caramel Cinnabon would be something special, but they just took a regular Cinnabon, threw some pecans on top and gave it a little swizzle of caramel. Not worth the extra cost.
If I’m in he mall, it’s worth an extra trip to the food court.

A Cinnabon and Lakefront Bridge Burner Ale is my favorite new food pairing. This Cinnabon location is in the food court of Mayfair Mall. The employees are friendly and appear to be hopped up on sugar.
Cinnabon Classic nutrition facts: 880 calories, 320 calories from fat, 36grams of fat, 830mg of sodium, 59 grams of sugar. OH THAT’S why they taste so good.
Center of the Roll (center of a Cinnabon in a cup): What do they do with the outside of the rolls? Are they thrown away? Save that shit, I’ll come get them.
