The best. Hands down. This is what I will always believe to be the bet pizza in Milwaukee. Outstanding choices and ingredients — this place is for the people who want nothing more than amazing pizza and service.

I recently found this gem and it has become my favorite pizza place in Milwaukee. The slices are a little on the expensive side but are huge! One slice is more than enough for a meal. The Anne Curry and Shippee Ahoy slices were both amazing. The salads are really fresh — you can see them chopping the lettuce to make each salad. The atmosphere is really chill and there’s a variety of board games to play while you wait for your food.

I don’t understand Classic Slice. A pizza place that sells individual slices, yet doesn’t have a counter area displaying the pizza slices you can order, is just really weak. You know what I mean right? You walk in, the pizzas are all laid out for you to see, and you pick which ones you want to have reheated. If it didn’t promote itself as a slice place right in the name, I might give them the pass, but I probably still wouldn’t. Furthermore, the pizza is mediocre at best, delivery takes too long, and I’m not crazy about the service. The crust stinks, the sauce isn’t that good, and the sausage… terrible. I came here a second time only because I had a $ 20 gift card, but after another poor showing, I won’t be back. Question for management: when I live literally a 3 minute drive away, how is pickup 30 minutes, but delivery an hour. Again… very weak.

Things I wish I had known before going to Classic Slice: 1. A slice of pizza starts at $ 5 and goes up from there. 2. It takes a really long time just to get a slice of pizza, even though their name implies(to me) that slices are their specialty. 3. The pizza is sub par. The story: I started off ordering two slices of pizza. The cashier gave me my total: $ 15.30! I could have gotten a whole pizza for that! After almost dying from surprise, I started over, and got a simple slice of cheese pizza. Easy, right? It was $ 5.09 after tax. The cashier assured me the slices are big, so I ponied up the cash and stepped aside to wait. It took at least 25 minutes. I lost track of time after a while. I actually got back in line to tell them to forget it, but by the time I was about halfway to the counter, my order came up, so I took it and hit the road. At this point, the pizza could have still saved this review. If the slice turned out to be worth the wait and worth the cash, I’d have given more stars, because it would have redeemed all of my prior frustration. Unfortunately, it was greasy, soggy, and bland. It was the exclamation point on a frustrating experience. There’s plenty of other pizza fish in the sea of Bay View, and I don’t think Classic Slice and I have a future together.

This place is just one of many unique eats in Bay View. Since it has pizza by the slice I was expecting your typical pizza place with the options sitting under heating lamps for your choosing but this place makes each slice to order. It may take more time(about 15 – 20 minutes) but you definitely are in for a fresher slice. They have some really inventive pizza options that all sounded delish. What attracted me to this place was the Mac and cheese balls I saw on Unilocal.I have re-named these«grease balls» since that’s all they really tasted of. No creamy, cheesy flavor… just grease. They were slightly redeemed if you shmeared them with their ranch(which is dynamite) and siracha but not worth ordering again. Went with the Top Gun slice which came w/goat cheese, mashed potato, bacon and chives. It was surprising how big the slice was when it came out. Like 1.5x the size of your hand. Those who love crust would really enjoy this pizza since it had a crust that went around the whole thing. Really fresh flavor from the quality local/organic ingredients they use. The flavor was even more fire by adding the ranch i got from the balls. Serious mmm! Also ordered the Dang! Italian Cherry soda which tastes exactly like a white cherry Icee. Would of been a 5 if the balls hadn’t been a bust. Can’t wait to try more flavorzzz!

Over 45 minute wait on a couple of slices… who’s got time for that… never again. If you are going to eat here definitely order ahead.

Came in and the atmosphere was very chill. Large picnic style table and smaller tables against the wall, along with bar stools and a counter at the window means lots of seating. One thing I noticed right away is that the slices are huge. Decided on a small house greens salad with balsamic dressing and a slice of the meatallica pizza. Salad came out first and was really good. Nice mix of greens and the dressing was good too. Next came the meatallica slice. Red sauce, pepporoni, meatball and bacon. I really got spoiled living in New York with great slices but Classic Slice did not dissappoint. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste but the rest of the fresh, quality toppings and perfectly crispy thin crust carried this ice from my first bite to my last.

Their name says it all because this place is your Classic Pizza! About as good as it gets! My family takes out a 20inch pie minimum once per week.

I originally came here with my sister because she is vegan. The food is awesome all around, not just for vegans/vegetarians. Have been back a couple of times already and will continue to go here when I’m in the neighborhood.

Stopped in after a few drinks down the street at Lee’s. With this being my first time at Classic, I was surprised to see the slices weren’t waiting in a window ready to go like Little Caesar’s pizza. The pizza is made fresh and worth the wait. I went with a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was massive! It also fit the bill for what I was looking for and was reasonably priced.

Pizza is delicious!!! They have amazing Salads too. I love Havin a beer while I wait for my food to take home. Nothing better than having a pizza with FRESH mushrooms and black and green olives. Salad with quinoa— yum!!! Prices are good too!!!

I used to really like this place as a great late night and cheap food hangout. Things have changed. The food is solid, lots of good variety of pizza slices and sandwhiches too. The costs however have recently gone up like $ 2 per slice at least. What the deal? The service is fine, its an order at the counter and pickup when called type joint. Please remember to recycle! The atmosphere is neat because they have some art, video game machines, local boards, and board games. The drinks are mostly soft but they have a small selection of beer, mostly local from macro to micro. As for pizza places that offer this type of service, I am now going to give Ian’s my business with these increased costs.

The vibe is laid back contemporary meets old school. Their are old fashioned looking pictures hanging on the walls, a soda fountain with homemade tasting root beers and a cherry flavored soda, along with coke. Me and my friend ordered half pepperoni & half chicken. Toppings for the 16″ are $ 1 each… the pizza was good, I went away with two slices for left overs and was full off the rest I ate. I also ordered their salad for $ 5.50(that was the larger portion) and it was enough for two people. They have really good ranch sauce, it tastes homemade. If you like ranch on your pizza, definitely ask for some on the side! Overall I had a great first experience here & it was nice they have their own parking lot so parking wasn’t something I had to worry about.

Classic Slice is our go to for pizza in Bay view. Quick friendly service and great specialty pizzas… you can’t really go wrong with this place. I really enjoy their creative specials and signature pizzas. Definitely would recommend the Top Gun pizza which encompasses all of the flavors of a loaded baked potato! YUM! If you’re not feeling pizza at the moment, fear not… they have some pretty good salad options as well. I love the avocado salad which is a mix of avocado, edamame, beets, and red pepper dressing. It is a must for anyone who loves avocado, which is pretty much everyone. And if you’re really hungry… the mac and cheese balls are delicious and are definitely worth all of the extra calories.

Whether you’re a herbivore, a carnivore, or an omnivore, Classic Slice has a pizza for you. What I like about this place is how every time I read something from their menu and thought, «Would that actually taste good?» The answer would always be a «yes.» The Anne Curry is my favorite. It’s a vegan pizza that contains yellow curry sauce, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, seasoned tofu and tomatoes. The vegetables are really fresh and pairs seamlessly with the curry sauce. Just add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, and marvel at the deliciousness. The Green Hawaiian is awesome, as well. Green peppers, pineapple, bacon, red sauce and shredded mozzarella. I take it as a Midwestern spin on a classic. Nonetheless, it’s kind of glorious. I adore that they cater to vegans, vegetarians, and people who are gluten-free. I’m obviously not vegan but I tend to eat a lot of their vegan options because they’re just so tasty. As for the gluten-free crust, it was nice in both texture and flavor. The gluten-intolerant boyfriend approves. Classic Slice has that Ian’s Pizza kind of feel to it. However, the clientele is a little different. Ian’s attract more college students, while patrons at Classic Slice are more diverse. I’ve seen a range when I go there, from large families to a group of elderly people catching up. One pizzeria is not better than the other; this segment was actually more of an observation. I’m giving Classic Slice a solid four stars. I like that they open late so it’s nice for the boyfriend and I to come here after a movie or a show. It’s low-key, has good food, and is a perfect end to any date, really. Because what’s better than grabbing a coffee at Hi-Fi, watching a movie at The Avalon, and grabbing a 16″ pizza at Classic Slice? The answer is nothing. Nothing’s better than that. Now stop reading, and get some Anne Curry pizza.

Whenever I show up at Classic Slice, I have low expectations. I look at the menu and see that I’ll be paying over $ 5 for a single slice of pizza. The cashier never looks like they want to be there. It takes too long to get my food. But then it happens. I remember why I come here. I see my slice. It is not really a slice. It’s more like an entire pizza shaped like a triangle. It’s bigger than my face. It’s almost as big as my thigh. I shouldn’t eat this much pizza, but I do. I am currently salivating. The location is convenient – right off KK and close to Frank’s Power Plant. There are places to get cheaper pizza. There are places to get better pizza. However, I’ve never had a slice this big anywhere else(even NYC). Worth a stop fo sho.

Holy slice! Get a slice of pizza here and be amazed how it’s the size of 3 of your heads! I got a couple of 12 inch pizzas to split, but man when I saw the single slices people ordered, I realized I should have gone that route! They’re enormous! $ 7 May seem like a lot for 1 slice of pizza, but the sheer size of it easily amounts to 3 maaaaybe 4 slices. What I really like about classic is the creative variety of pizzas they offer. Anywhere from mashed potato to curry(they have regular toppings too of course). The one thing I didn’t like a lot was I thought the crust was a little tough on my 12 inch pizzas. But that’s not enough to keep me from coming back!

What’s not to love about Classic Slice? Huge pizza slices? Check. Amazing, fresh toppings? Check. PLUS, you can customize a slice to be whatever you want it to be — the world is your oyster(pizza). AND, you can get fantastic gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, or meat-on-meat-on-meat pizzas. Everyone of every conceivable diet will leave Classic Slice a happy pizza consumer. And I suppose that at this juncture I should also mention that they have cute little desserts(a tiny birthday cake, for example), great service, and also the best selection of soda I’ve seen in a long time(butterscotch root beer for the win, honorable mention to grape soda). OH. And you MUST try the avocado salad when you stop in. It’s in my top three favorite salads — it comes with avocado, pistachios, edamame, arugula, one of the best dressings you’ll ever taste, and other fun stuff. TRYIT! You won’t be sorry.
