Cousins Subs

Very bad customer service, cashier need training, cook know I saw her use the same gloves for everything other than food and the manager complaining with everybody else! I walked out and should have when it looked dirty when I walked in… went to 51 and Brown Deer excellent service! Clean and fast.

I work close to this location and it’s slim pickings for decent food in this area. My work also orders often for business meetings. Occasionally I will place an order online (don’t go during peak lunch times without calling ahead/​ordering online or you’ll be waiting awhile). I always get the veggie sub which clearly states on their menu comes with provolone. The last two orders I picked-​up didn’t have any cheese and weren’t cut in half as requested. The last time I asked for sauce on the side and never got that either.
As others have said, this location is kind of «scary» aesthetically and could use a remodel. They always seem to be busy during lunch yet short staffed on the register with normally one person. Today 3 or 4 people were making the subs and very vocal about what a bad day they were having. They should most likely have another person on the register so that people like me who are picking up an online order don’t have to wait in line forever to pick it up (they even have a sign hanging for where to pick-​up online orders, no one is at that register).
The food tastes okay and they always get my extra toppings right with the exceptions listed above. I just think management needs to take a look at how things are flowing there and consider some updates.

Oil for fries looks old with scum on top. 3 registers at lunch, 1 worker. Not enough cooks, one of whom doubles as a cashier. Extremely slow service. I should have ordered dinner at lunch so I get it in time for dinner. Definitely recommend you pass on this place. Not sure it is representative of the organization but try something else or at least someplace else. Fries are old and waitstaff lousy. Someone had to give instructions during lunch hour? Shouldn’t training be during off peak times?

I concur with the previous reviewer, this location definitely deserves some TLC. The light fixtures are filthy and rusted, the décor is dated, the floors are past their prime, even the trays I receive for dine-​in look like an angry pit bull got to them first.
The staff is good and the food is Cousins so what doesn’t kill me…

Looks a little gross on the inside and outside but I must say — for a cousins the staff here is above average which is what’s pushing them to 3 stars. They’re always very friendly and I’ve never had an order messed up. The food is typical cousins fare — cheap & easy for lunch.
