Coming from the Northeast — Cousin’s reminds me of Subway in a sense — however I will give it up to this sandwich/sub chain in that their bread is superior. Whereas Subway’s just falls apart — the bread made at Cousin’s is a little more hearty and just better tasting. I say this on good authority as I recently purchased a sandwich to take with me on my flight back home and it held up really well in the several hours it spent in my carry on bag. Yes — the customer service is not the best(their employees could use some smile lessons) — but what do you expect — it’s fast food. Although I think the employees that helped me were not awake yet — they handled my order well and did not bat an eye at my «load the sandwich with veggies» request. I do agree with Tony K — a facelift might do this location good — it looks a little sketch to those passing by.

I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling that I would eat my sub inside this restaurant. Maybe it’s just my «Spidey senses» were on the fritz, so I took my chicken and cheddar on pretzel bread(an extra 50 cents) to go. The sandwich was perfectly good.

This location always has the worst customer service of any. Granted, it’s like not like one goes to Cousin’s for the service… and the people who work here aren’t exactly rocket scientists… but for fucks sake, SOMEONE is paying you to provide a service and the least you could do is not be bothered when someone wants to make changes to a sub. As for Cousin’s in general, the bread is good, the meat is better quality than what you’ll get at Subway or Jimmy Johns, and the value for the dollar is better than JJ as well.

Blah, not impressed. The comparisons to Jimmy Johns are weak. With the exception of the bread that is where the equality ends. Weak on the amount of meat, barely any lettuce, blah blah blah. I don’t think it is the location even though this location seems to be about 1 star lower than others. This was my first… and last time at any Cousins location unless I am desperate. Barely better than Subway only cause of the bread. I’ll take Jimmy Johns or Jersey Mikes over this place any day. Sorry Cousins, I really wanted to like you.

This location certainly could use a bit of a face lift and the employees aren’t exactly overly friendly — but I wasn’t bothered too much by it. It’s the bread that keeps me coming back. I sometimes crave it.

This Cousin’s is neither the best nor the worst I’ve ever been to(best is on Water and Wells — they offer weekday specials and staff is friendly, worst is on 90th and Lincoln in West Allis). The woman who took my order walked pretty slow to the counter(she’d been cleaning) but was helpful and patient with my special request.

I spent four weeks in the Milwaukee area for business and of all of the restaurants I tried in the area, Cousin’s subs was the one I went to the most. The sandwiches are similar to Jimmy John’s in design though I found the selection of choices to be slightly better than JJ’s(I do like JJ’s, not to knock them). Prices are comparable to pretty much any other sub shop of this style as well. What also makes this chain stand out is the bread. The bread used is very tasty and really helps make the sandwich. For reference, I tried the following sandwiches along with both the fries and chips: Pepperoni Melt Turkey & Jalapeño Italian Special
