I was very sad to see that this restaurant was suddenly closed. Being within 15 minutes from home, my family and I would come here at least once every few months. One day we arrived for dinner and noticed that the sign was missing and there was a note on the door. This was the only pizza restaurant around that we went to regularly for years, and I am not aware of another one similar to this. The wait staff was always fast and friendly. The pizza was always great. The prices were worth the amount you received. My only complaint was not the restaurant itself but just how busy it could be and how loud and rude some of the patrons could be. I would sincerely hope that someone takes over and opens it back up.

I love Pizza, specially deep dish and stuffed. And looks like there are not many options in Wisconsin for deep dish, but Edwardo’s was good. Not comparable to Chicago style pizza, but still ok. Service was good, and they offer bread too. Not too price either. So I can come here again a couple of more time.

Everyone likes Pizza right? Well kinda… I consider myself a pizza fan, but my sisters really like this style of Edwardo’s natural pizza. I think the reason is that it is the only location in the state, where as Chicago they have many locations to get this kind of pizza. It is just like Gino’s east pizza. It is almost like a pie with cheese meats or vegetables in a deep dish style with marinara on the top instead of cheese. I keep trying to like it, but it just me. They continue to like it and I continue to dislike it. It is just like cantaloupe, or Brussels sprouts either you like it or you don’t. At least they have other menu options to fit your needs. Drinks are Coke products so extra star just for that. food 2 ambiance 4 service 4 location 3 value 2

This is a chain restaurant that specializes in Chicago style deep dish pizza. I pop in occasionally for lunch. They have a nice Express Lunch menu, which includes personal size deep dish pizzas, thin crust pizza, a few pasta dishes and a few sandwiches. The prices of the Express Lunch are really inexpensive — ranging from $ 6.50 to $ 8. That includes your entrée, a fountain drink, and either an iceberg salad or a cup of soup. For me, it’s spinach deep dish every time. There is also a basket of pizza cracker-bread on every table. It’s a good snack-y item, but if you’re looking to keep calories or carbs down, I would try to avoid it. That being said, I usually have a couple of pieces while I’m there. The servers are friendly and efficient, and the restaurant is clean. I’ve been here many times over the years for lunch, and I have never had a bad experience.

It’s a chain. Not a big chain, but I tend to avoid going to or reviewing chain places. Whatever. I’m so edgy. So now I work in ‘tosa. I got sick of the cafeteria and decided to go to this place for lunch. I felt so suburban, driving in my saab to a place where nobody lives on a busy intersection for my lunch hour. I’ve always wanted to try Edwardos, I must admit. There was one on the west side of Madison when I used to live there, but it closed up before I ever got there. The menu is impressive, and the array of toppings is pretty decent. I got a table and ordered straight away. Mini stuffed spinach pizza(it’s Chicago style, not really«stuffed») and a salad. Decent deal, it was a lunch special for 6.29 that they have available during the week. Could have gotten a «soft» drink as well, but my mom didn’t raise me on sugar water and I like having nice teeth. The salad was pretty ok. Not a pile of fucking iceberg lettuce like a lot of joints would give you. I ate it pretty quickly, and had a few minutes to wait for the pizza. There was a basket of what appeared to be pieces of pizza dough flattened thin and baked with some seasonings on the table. Edwardo’s idea of chips & salsa, I gather. I ate a couple. Meh. Don’t bother with those, Edwardo my man. Looked like nobody else was eating them either. Here comes the pizza, dickface!!! It was kinda mediocre. The crust is good, if a little underdone, but the sauce is freakin’ watery brah. There was what I would describe as a dusting of spinach in this pie. Pretty insubstantial. If you like pizza dough and cheese, you’ll get full on them here. This stuff just sits like a rock in the gut, and I only ate ½ of a «personal» size. Maybe would try it again. It was ok, but it’s hard to make an inedible pizza. The waitress was nice. She disappeared for awhile after dropping my check off. Gotta check back pretty often when you got people trying to get back to work, sis. I got places to be. But she was nice. Edwardos! Maybe go there if you’re nearby it already? And you want a really heavy pizza? That’s pretty pricey outside of the lunch specials? It’s close to the highway, fatty!

This place used to be really good. It has been a few years since I have lived in the state, and was home visiting for a week. I was totally craving Chicago style deep dish pizza, and I remembered that there was this place near where my family is. So we ordered a Large spinach and half pepperoni deep dish pizza with a side order of garlic bread. We picked it up and brought it home. First off the bread looked like it was a hot-dog bun that they slapped on some garlic flavored butter and wrapped up in tin foil. It was gross, stale, and not even crispy. But really, people go there for the pizza right? So the pizza was luke warm almost cold, kinda of like they reheated it or something, so yeah, next time i am in town visiting, I will find somewhere else to get some deep dihs pizza.

PRE: I’ve had Edwardo’s deep dish pizza as carry out before and thought it was fantastic. On this occasion my dining partner and I dined at their location on Bluemound Road. ORDERED: Smothered Meatballs(two homemade meatballs with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers with garlic bread) — $ 4.79, Small 10″ Thin Crust Pizza(Hawaiian Luau) — $ 12.25 TASTED: These piping hot balls were a great way to get started! The perfect size for sharing between two people. They didn’t taste like a salt lick like some restaurants’ meatballs and were covered in quality mozzarella cheese.(not being juvenile with choice of words, how else do you review meatballs?) The Hawaiian Luau pizza was a compromise on my part as my girl doesn’t like deep dish pizza. The girl doesn’t have many faults but her preference in pizza is one of them. The sweet n’ sour sauce is AMAZING! It’s so good I was able to overlook the lackluster canned pineapple. No cheap tomatoes here. SERVICE: Friendly but took a long time before waitress noticed we were ready for our ticket. MISC: This Wauwatosa location is one of nine Edwardo’s locations in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. If you get bored I recommend visiting this: I totally stayed between the lines coloring Pete Za.

Seriously Unilocal, where’s the half stars??? I went up to 4 but consider this my 3.5 star rating. Let me preface this by saying I’m a true Chicagoan. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and have eaten every single deep dish pizza, chain and local in that area. Edwardo’s deep dish pizza is somewhere in the middle in terms of flavor and structure. The pizza is a little more flimsy than the best of the best deep dish. Sauce is tasty and the flavor of the crust is very good! Service was pretty good as well. Never had to ask for a drink refill. We’ll go back again and hope that it was just a bad night in terms of building a pizza!

Two slices will do ya! A small stuffed pizza could easily satisfy the hunger of two people. This is some of the best stuffed pizza that I have ever had. They offer a whole wheat crust or the traditional crust, but they are prepared the same. The crust isn’t just crunchy, or just chewy, it is somewhere in between. The crust is tasty and as important as every other element of these pies. I would say that the crust lovingly holds the marinara, cheese and toppings for you. The toppings are really good and fresh. This is one of the few pizzas where they present the vegetables, just right! The house salad dressing is also very delicious.

Great pizza, enormous portions, excellent appetizers… bad experience with our waitress. I went here with a group of five(including one toddler) and we ordered a wide variety of items between us. Our waitress seemed a little annoyed that we were asking questions about the menu. Also, at one point, she actually glared at my daughter who was babbling in a medium-volume voice. Its by no means a formal restaurant or quiet, so just because she doesn’t happen to like babies doesn’t mean she has any right to be rude. Luckily, the food here is good or I would have given this experience 1 or 2 stars. I would definitely order carry-out from Edwardo’s, but I’m not sure that I would choose to dine in here again.

Edward’s has pretty good stuffed pizza. I’m from Chicago and absolutely love the deep dish style of pizza. If you’re looking for a some chicago style pizza, this is one of the few places that offers it in the Milwaukee area. The service was pretty good. If this this your first time there, be sure to look at the menu ahead of time and know what you wan to order, these types of pizzas take a while to make, so ordering with your drinks is my best advice!

REALLYAWESOME Chicago-style(stuffed) pizza. It is just as good as the downtown Chicago pizzarias. They also offer gluten-free pizza, which my sister told me was«so good I couldn’t tell it was gluten-free!» I will definitely be visiting here again as Edwardo’s is one of the best, if not the best, pizza places I have found in Milwaukee!

Edwardo’s makes a really good stuffed pizza. They are one of the few places that can really keep that extra layer of dough thin and perfect, so it does’t taste like you’re eating a over-bready big mac of a pizza. The quality isn’t quite as good as years past, and sadly the downtown location closed, but I always love an Edwardo’s slice. My favorite Edwardo’s moment is picking up a cold sausage slice at Summerfest as the grounds were closing. Even cold, this pizza rocks. I appreciate the pizza dough chips when you eat-in, because these pies take a long time to cook. Skip pepperoni as a topping, though. With stuffed pizza, the pepperoni does not cook down and the flavor just doesn’t blend well.

I’ve been to a number of deep dish places(all the major Chicago ones) and to a number of NYC famous pizzerias. Edwardo’s is by far my favorite deep dish. The natural ingredients remind me of NYC style ingredients. Fresh mozzarella makes a huge difference in terms of quality! and the tomatoes here are just so different from all the ones used at pizza places in the Midwest, just a little sweet. You can put anything on these pizzas and they are good deep dish. My favorite pizza chain toppings are pineapple and pepperoni, and when put in a deep dish absolutely amazing. The special is by far what I have ordered the most, and it is always amazing. I don’t think this places prices are bad. Considering the freshness of the pizza, and the amount of food you get, I’d say they are right on target. It’s not a cheap pizza meal, but it is most certainly worth it!

In search of a more local cuisine than just getting Pizza Hutt or Papa John’s i decided to try out Edwardo’s while staying in a hotel nearby. The pizza is alright but personally it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. I felt like I’d paid too much for not much. I realize that comparing the price on a smaller or one shot pizza joint ot a chain doesn’t work but I’ve been to other independent pizza places and gotten better deals.
