There is a clear reason Embark has a 5 star rating after 39 reviews. They absolutely deserve that rating and then some. Brought my 16 year old in for the Ultimate treatment including the furminator treatment. She has never been a big fan of grooming so I let the know that as well as the fact she has significant dysplasia/​arthritis in her back hips. They said no problem and would let her rest if needed while grooming. Every other single place I have ever brought her to for grooming she can’t wait to get out, goes crazy when she sees me and practically drags me out the door. I came in to get her and she was just wandering around with the groomers behind the counter. There was no urgency in her to leave. She was happy to see me of course, but not desperate for me to get her out of there and ‘rescue’ her. The grooming job they did on her was also fantastic, but to see her completely at ease in their facility after the grooming was by far the best indication of her experience there. Well done guys, well done.

Had a really nice to experience, I went into it a little hesitant because I have never taken a cat to the groomer before today. the front desk was super friendly, my cat is so nice and clean and trimmed up! Very pleased with the new hairdo! :)

I can swear I have already reviewed this place, but apparently not. We take our blonde long haired daschund here, and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff always give him a haircut that makes him look dapper. He comes out fresh and clean with a new bandana to boot. The bandanas are generally seasonally themed.
Our dog needed to have extra special care after he had back surgery, and the owner was very accommodating to our pups needs. We wanted to ensure he was ok during his recovery, and allowed me to stay with him during his haircut. Normally you wouldn’t need to get a haircut for an injured and recovering dog, but with a no-​shed animal, it is kind of a requirement. Kudos to EmBark for their skills with animal grooming and kind demeanor.
We’ll definitely keep coming back!

My furbaby has been going to EmBark Pet Spa for a couple of years now and he loves it. He always looks so handsome once he is done and I love their different themed bandanas they put on Jasper. Its nice they have night and Saturday appointments too. They do tend to book out pretty quickly, but it just shows how many people take their pets there. Staff is always super friendly!

I took my dog Dog Poncho in for a basic package, and could not be happier. Ponch looks great and smells good, and even got a cute little scarf to wear! I loved seeing all the pooches hanging out and getting groomed behind the counter, and really enjoyed seeing Poncho peacefully hanging out with all the other doggies when i came to pick him up. He can be a bit of a troublemaker, but looked like they handled every dog really well.

My husband and I were first time customers with our collie, Feather. Collies are a labor intensive job. We were very pleased with her summer grooming. The staff is through and caring. Feather looks great. We will be returning.

I take my miniature schnauzer, Ruby, to EmBark and when I return for her she is always happy and looking absolutely adorable! My dog means the world to me and I feel so comfortable leaving her with the ladies at Embark. They don’t use kennels so Ruby gets socialized with new dogs each time she goes.
They do perfect cuts– they’ve given her the standard schnauzer cut (long eyebrows, beard, legs and belly, and she’s also gotten an adorable summer haircut! I would definitely recommend Embark!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Every time I bring Abigale to EmBark she has a great experience. That says a lot about a dog who has some nervous tendencies. Her haircuts are always awesome and she leaves smelling fresh.
I love that the dogs aren’t caged and that the grooming happens out in the open. The dogs waiting to be groomed or picked up are always calm which I take to mean that they’re being treated well.
I continue to be incredibly impressed with the service, prices, and hospitality.

Took my dog to Embark a few months ago for his summer haircut and he looks great! This spa is very reasonable and they have great service.

We used to take our dogs to a pet salon in Mequon, but I became unsatisfied with their service when I asked why our dogs were different prices for grooming despite being mother and daughter (same size, same breed). We searched for other pet salons and found Embark.
The parking situation was a little confusing. You can park in front of the building, but if you park too directly in front, then you’re in the right turn lane, so park about 15 feet from the door.
One thing I really liked was that right outside there are bags and a trash can for you to clean up after your dog. This is really important because grooming can be very stressful and often my dogs have to poop afterwards. I bring bags, but I thought it was a nice touch.
When you walk in, it’s a very comfortable, clean environment. I love how their grooming stations are right behind the front desk, so you can see everything going on-​the transparency is reassuring for dog owners and new customers. They come around and take your dogs behind the front desk and give you an ETA for pick-​up as well as tell you they’ll call. I felt fine about the groomers, so I handed over my pups and said I’d wait for the call.
Almost exactly two hours later, as promised, I received a call my dogs were ready to be picked up. I head back over and walk in, both girls are sitting behind the desk with the desk-​staff with cute neck scarves. They leash the girls up and bring them around the front. They’re happy and excited to see me, I can tell they were safe and handled with care.
There are a couple things about Embark that aren’t show-​stoppers, but considerations for some:
1. Their prices seem a smidge higher than even the groomer in Mequon. Both of my cocker spaniels cost +$ 120 after a 20% tip, so it was $ 20 more than the other places I have taken them. While the girls smelled great, looked great, and seemed happy, it was quite a bit more for quarterly haircuts. It’d be great to see a 15−20% second pet discount.
2. They do not require vaccination records, which means they are not ensuring your pets have had rabies, kennel cough, or distemper. Usually kennels and groomers require kennel cough, but Embark doesn’t. Both of my girls are regularly vaccinated, so I shouldn’t be super concerned, but it’s something to be aware of.
Will we go back? Absolutely. It was worth the money, though, I’m just not sure we can afford to Embark quarterly, so it might turn into every six months.

As per usual, consistently great service for Jackson… the perfect location for me, and just enough time for me to sneak in a run whilst he gets his nails clipped and a quick trim.
Been going here for 4 years or so… always a positive experience.

Took my pooch, Meadow here on a Thursday at 11am. When I originally called the week prior to schedule, they were super friendly and very eager to help me find a time that would work to bring her in.
I love the fact that they get right to work on your pet as soon as you bring them in. They told me they’d only need her for a little over an hour and they didn’t lie.
Their waiting area is super warm and welcoming, and I think my favorite part was how calm the atmosphere was. I’ve been to groomers that are loud with barking dogs and more. EmBark was, in a word, chill. Despite this, Meadow was so nervous that when the groomer came around from the counter, she peed on the floor. This was taken in great stride despite my embarrassment and profound apologies, I suppose it is nowhere near the first time — and they were quick to clean it up with specialty cleaners.
For a very affordable cost, Meadow came home with her nails trimmed, her coat feeling, looking, and smelling great; and, my favorite part, a Wonder Woman/​Bat Girl/​Super Girl bandana on that was absolutely adorable. It’s like they knew just want to do to win me over.
I’m sold, we will be back!

I love taking my Ralphie to this place! He always comes out happy, well-​groomed and smelling fresh. I live 40 minutes away and will be a loyal customer here.

I took my short-​haired cat in for his first grooming/​lion cut. I wanted to get him shaved down before I moved in with my boyfriend who has allergies. The staff was extremely nice, and responsive via email when I contacted them to set up my appointment. I was a bit apprehensive because every time I’ve tried to give my cat a bath, it (obviously) goes terribly. They were done with the bath, nail trim, and lion cut in less than 40 minutes! I hate to complain that they were «too fast», but they had estimated an hour-​hour and a half so I was in the middle of dinner when they called. I will definitely be back — my kitty is adorable and we’ve had no sneezing in the house!

The groomers are top notch. They do a great job with my three standard poodles and are consistently wonderful. When I drop them off they are always well taken care of and they are ready when they say they will be.
Recently my dogs had some issues with itchiness and hot spots, and the owner, Sarah gave all of them complimentary hypoallergenic baths to help calm them down. This business owner appreciates her clients.
Highly recommend.

Belle (the chihuahua that adopted me) loves Embark. They are nice to my shy chi-​baby, she always looks great after her grooming and she smells like blueberries when she comes home. I would highly recommend the blueberry facial, if only for the fact it smells amazing. They always have a nice touch of a bandana or ribbon when she leaves. Thank you Embark!

I have been taking my nippy little chihuahua here to get his nails clipped for about two years. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. He has attacked everyone including his vet for even coming near his feet, yet he patiently hands over his little paws to the Embark staff without being muzzled. I appreciate the service!

I live two blocks from EmBark and have been taking my Shih Tzu, Oscar, there monthly for almost six years. I guess the biggest recommendation is that Oscar loves going to the groomer; it’s one of his favorite places. He gets the full spa treatment; bath, blueberry facial, haircut, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and teeth cleaned all for under $ 60. He comes out looking good, smelling good and feeling good.

I live 2 blocks away from another boutique dog groomer but drive clear across town to take my dog to Embark instead. Not only does she come out looking and smelling fantastic, but it feels very relaxing there, which is important to me b/​c I have to think getting groomed can be stressful for a pooch. Plus, they won’t put your dog in a crate which is a big deal for me (or rather, for my puppy).

I am still smiling looking over at my dog, Embark really is the best! My dog had a terrible experience with a previous groomer leaving him skittish. Quite honestly I was afraid he would take it out on the wonderful ladies/​gents at Embark. I waited nearby for them to call me and tell me there was a problem but the call never came. I had him bathed and cut and when I walked in an hour and a half later he had a big smile on his face. My dog just loves Embark! The people there really know how to treat/​handle animals well. My dog was so calm and he looked so good with the cute bandana I was a proud mama! Can’t say enough things about this place, they even got me in the same day. I don’t live close by but seeing my dog’s smile is worth the trip.
