Really disappointed in this place. The orange chicken was terrible… it tasted like plastic more than anything. The orange flavor was so faint, you could never tell it was supposed to be orange chicken. The beef and broccoli was not much better, and the sticky rice was mushy. Also, it was insanely expensive for the amount of poor quality food you get. From now on we will be driving the extra few minutes to go somewhere else for chinese. I only write bad reviews when I feel like service/quality was really worth sharing.

Best egg fu yung in the area, kwik wok fried rice with a little heat on it was good, egg rolls average, egg drop soup is great, crab Rangoon has a lot of tasty filling, will always be the place to go for Chinese until another place can compete. will hit up the rest of the menu at a later date.

Waist of time, money, and food. Just awful. So bad, I just threw it in the trash. Super Dry Rice. Tough, stringy chicken, flavorless food in general. I will never order from here again.

A HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE I placed an order online. It was delivered with missing items. I spend 25 minutes trying to call the restaurant, but I only got a busy signal. So I got in my car and drove to the restaurant. I got a few free egg rolls for the grievance, but the manager was real nice. When I got home, my mother threw her food away because it was so nasty. The fried rice was so dry it was almost inedible. The orange chicken was dry and stringy. The Mongolian beef was bland at best. We would have been better off buying frozen bags of Chinese food at Aldi. NEVERAGAIN, lesson learned.

Here’s the deal, folks — Milwaukee does not have an abundance of great Chinese cuisine places. I’ve spent years searching, and most come up short. However, here are the things that I appreciate about Kwik Wok 2 on Howell(and the same can be said for their Mediterranean Restaurant«Yum Yum» adjacent): 1. Friendly Service always — if we end up waiting for our food there, someone has brought us water, opened the umbrella on the patio, and given us a free dessert to enjoy cuz well, life’s short, eat dessert first. 2. Their food is consistent — we order the Beef Egg Rolls, Hot and Sour Soup, Beef with Broccoli entrée, Shrimp with Vegetables entrée, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Crab Rangoon. Each time, every one of those is delicious. I even eat the Crab Rangoon, and I’m a vegetarian. 3. It’s cheap. You see everything we listed? That totals less than $ 40. That’s dinner for two, at least two nights in a row. What could be better? More vegetarian options. But I’ll always say that. Happy to have a delicious Chinese option so close to home.

I didn’t care for it, my son loved it. I ordered shrimp fried rice, but it was not fried rice. It was like minute rice, over cooked, over fluffy. Great service nice people not so nice food. My son goes for quantity, which met his expectations.

Friendly and quick service regarding online orders, but the food was almost inedible. The plain white rice was alright, but sweet and sour chicken, General Tso’s, egg rolls, rangoon and falafels were all incredibly salty. And this is coming from someone who puts extra salt on fries and popcorn. Also the sauces weren’t the usually sesame sauce or General Tso sauce you’d find at any other Chinese restaurant. They tasted really strange. I purposely ordered extra to have leftovers but ended up chucking it all because it was so gross.

I love going to kwik wok because of their rangoon. The pieces are big and crispy, the crab is sweet and delicious. I could eat the rangoon all day — and for someone on chemo, this is a huge deal for me! Unfortunately, our last visit was more than disappointing. The restaurant was open until 9& we ordered online around 7:45pm. We placed a small order– sesame chicken and general tso chicken, both with fried rice, an egg roll(delicious — light breading, whole shrimp, but this time, overwhelming pepper as the inside looked like black polka dots everywhere), and 2 orders crab rangoon — the whole reason we visit this place. We went for pickup & hoped to explain that the online code wouldn’t work. The girl was helpful once she put down her Facebook profile on her phone. She changed the bill & sent us on our way. We got home and realized we received white rice, not fried. I called the restaurant to mention the mistake and the girl who answered told me, «We don’t have any fried rice. We are actually out for the night and not making any more. That’s why you didn’t get it.» I mumbled OK& said goodbye. No mention after we placed the order(you enter your phone number when you order online), no mention on pickup, no real apology. It was a joke. I mean, fried rice is a bit of a staple for Chinese places. So now I have 2 meals that won’t get eaten in the fridge because my husband and I really dislike white rice, & I feel like our new favorite little place is one we just can’t count on. It’s a shame — we loved going there & have already ordered 4 times since we randomly tried this location. Overall, the food is usually amazing, but it’s definitely a risk if you will get what you order — and pay for. :-(

It was fast. It was cheap. It was gross. Don’t chance it! The sesame chicken was overdone, but far better than the rock hard, burnt brown dumplings. The owner should be ashamed, and the cook retrained. Or, perhaps the owners are counting their money, and laughing at all of us. Look elsewhere.

I go in for Chinese but often leave with falafel or a wrap instead. It’s easy for Kwik Wok to be overshadowed by Yum Yum, as there are few Arabic restaurants on the south side, but Kwik Wok provides a different take on your typical Chinese restauran fare. The egg rolls mostly meat and the rice kind of smells like potatoes, but in my opinion that just makes this place all the more unique. On the positive, the food tastes fresh and the service is friendly, so I try to stop back as often as I can. My favorite thing about the place is that while mostly a la carte, meals come with fried rice and are priced like lunch specials all day. This makes a decent-sized meal very affordable compared to other local Chinese restaurants, and you can always ask for some falafel or baklava on the side:)

Chinese and Middle-eastern. I’ve never had the middle-eastern, but the Chinese isn’t bad. I ordered online last time for take out. I showed-up at the time quote, but the order hadn’t been started yet. Inconvenient, but they provided a drink for the wait. I’ll call in the order next time.

The absolute nicest service. However the food was awful. This is only the second time I’ve had to write a bad review and it makes me sad. I know people work hard here. But the food is god awful. We paid about $ 35 for general tso and sweet & sour chicken both with the fried rice. Beef lo mein and two beef egg rolls. It was all individually packed and they were packed neatly. The sweet&sour chicken was over cooked, dry and hard to eat. Everything else, the flavor wasn’t there. It was just bad. My lady was so upset, she wanted her money back. Let’s be honest, Chinese is Chinese and I’m not convinced that I’m going to find amazing Americanized Chinese food. But this was just terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We will never eat here again. This was really unfortunate. Oh but for some reason, I loved the fortune cookies! I thought they tasted good. Maybe because everything thing else was bad? My fiancé said they were stale but at that point I think she was just bitter. Anywho, can’t say I didn’t warn ya!

The greatest Chinese food of all time. Excellent beef dishes that come in larger proportion for a cheap price makes me happy. I love Kwik wok :)

This place has the tastiest fast Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. The food is fresh and the sauces are superb. Oh, and they’re super fast at delivery(in the freakn’ snow no less!).

It’s ok, slightly better than the fast food Asian joints. Reasonably priced too. Good in a pinch
