If you starving, this is where to go. If you just want to feed your gut and don’t care about taste, this is the place.

I wanted to give HALF a STAR but that’s not an option! This place is like stepping into the 80’s, dirty and the bathrooms are nasty. Food was cold to medium for heat, basically no flavor and not much for options unless you loved chicken! The staff were not friendly at all. I wasn’t even done with one of my plates and the waitress came over to tell me not to waste food. Seriously!!! I told her and the other couple in their eating where to put that food! I paid $ 13(high end for the amount of food) to eat junk and treated like crap. No thanks! Wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I hated.

Well for the size of the buffet and the food it is a little bit expensive I paid $ 25.32, probably because it was a Sunday night, for 2 people including the drinks and tax. It runs in the small side. It includes a little bit of fish and shrimp the rest is most of it chicken. If you decide to go try the meat the you got to cut, and the fettuccine with meat. Definitely the grossest buffet of any kind I have ever seen/smelled. There was a lady going nuts on the boiled crawfish saying to the table next to her, «I don’t know what these are called, but I call ‘em the Poor Man’s Lobsters!» Afraid of everything there but the horchata, I ventured over to the crawfish at the hot table. Picked up two, opened one up: black and shriveled. Figured«that’s a one-off» and cracked open the second one. ALSOBLACKANDSKUNKED. My husband — who has been going here since he was a kid, managed to go for thirds, then dessert, and not even get food poisoning. I’m pretty sure some folks got arrested in the parking lot while we were eating. Likely for selling illegal black market seafood or something. Never going back. Plenty of cleaner-smelling Asian restaurants in the area.

Do all Chinese buffets go to the same decorator? This place is straight out the 80’s the is mid core. Nothing fancy but the the chicken wings were good. Really don’t think I’ll be making this trip out here again. Unless I’m going to KrispyKream!!! In out words. Save your 12.95! Seriously!!!

Meh. yet another word to describe a restaurant. I came in and i believe for 2 people it was $ 24. a bit more than what i was expecting and planning on paying for a buffet, but i thought hey maybe it’s going to be good. I was wrong. Most of the food was sub par only a few things were decent the green beans being one of them, the sweet and sour chicken was ok and the dumplings are alright. most of the other food was too cold or too bland. if it wasn’t bland there was something that really over powered the dish. The workers were not all that nice or friendly. I don’t think i’ll be back.

Food is OK. But the waitress is really rude, very rude. We was asked to move to another table after we just found seats.

For the price, the food and service isn’t bad. Food is not authentic but some taste really good, they are quite generous on seafood, most hot seafood dish are good, fried fish in the frying section too. I’m obsessed with their green beans, too. Also if you never tried dim sum, they have a tiny selection of that too. Bite sized cake and ice cream cones are my fav for dessert. Do not touch the sushi, it doesn’t look fresh. You can tell some stuff are not fresh, don’t eat them. They have a decent amount of selections, so skip those that don’t look good, lol. I don’t think you need to tip at this place because you pay up front. There are waitress coming out to take away used dishes and the food trays are always refilled in time. In general a good experience, considering the price and what you get, if you just want a lot of food for a good price, this is a place to go.

This is my 2nd time here. My 1st time to this place was at least 4 years ago and it was so horrible that my friend and I didn’t even finish the food on our plate and we decided to go somewhere else. This time was much much better. I don’t know if they changed management or cooks or what but definitely better than last time. The food not only looked appetizing but it tasted good too. I was hesitant to come here but I am glad my husband talked me into giving it another chance. I will consider going here again.

Good food. Atmosphere is horrible. Employees are rude and constantly yell at each other in Chinese while you are getting food so it is uncomfortable.

Just awful. Yes we did go at 8:30 and they close at 10 so we didn’t expect the empty buffet. More than 4 of the items we wanted were not refilled the entire time we were there which made us believe it’s because it was so slow. The staff was very impolite as to there was not even a hello or goodbye to either one of us. Also, when we left the lights in the parking lot turned off and it was only 9:30. We will not return. Many better options for Chinese in Milwaukee. Avoid this place at all costs.

It’s a Chinese buffet! You will find some great food and some not so great but this is typical of any buffet! Atmosphere: there are tables and booths. You can come in a large or small group and their would be enough seating. Chinese décor in the booth room with Asian music playing. Service: you walk in, pay and sit yourself. They do a good job of refilling the food and taking your dirty plates. Food: the fried rice, lo mein noddles, egg foo yong, and pepper steak with broccoli are my favorites! By far the thing I like the most are the shrimp, crawfish and the mussels. They are really good! The egg rolls and chicken is also very good. They have other dishes which are hit or miss but you can always just leave it if you don’t like it. I miss the days they had crab legs. They have a lot to choose from. They also have Pepsi and Coke products which is a huge plus! You have to try the rice water as it is excellent! They have many dessert items from ice cream to fruits to donuts to pastries and cookies. I always come here to eat crawfish, shrimp and Chinese food. Well worth the money as a dinner is like $ 12 with drinks. I recommend eating after 3pm as this is when the dinner items are brought out and a lot better then lunch.

Just, no. Crowded, loud, dingy, below-average food. Not going back. Would take off half a star if possible.

This place is much bigger and busier than I expected. It’s a Chinese buffet, so check your expectations at the door. I was surprised by the wide variety of food they had on offer, actually — I think there was pizza and chicken wings, etc. in addition to the expected American-Chinese fare. The prices were pretty painful, actually. I think that’s the main reason we won’t probably be back. Well, that plus we really don’t need to be eating that much food. I felt like I had to eat and eat and eat and eat to get my money’s worth, which is what buffets are for. I get it. I love them, in theory, but I need to not eat at one ever again unless it’s free. The food was alright and it was reasonably clean. I just felt sort of unwelcome and like I was in the way the entire time I was there… Maybe another reason I didn’t have a great time was the crowd. Considering how many Chinese places there are to choose from along Highway 100, I will most likely be looking elsewhere for that Chinese food fix.

I visited this place the other night for dinner. Had I read these reviews first, I wouldn’t have. Oh well. The kids wanted Chinese buffet. I do not generally care for buffets. However, this place is close to home. So off we went. The total for the three of us at dinner time was about $ 24. The spread of food was pretty good, with a decent amount of variety. The building itself is not as pretty or nice as some, but it seemed clean enough. There were only a few children and they were not running around screaming. The primary eaters were adults. I’ve always seem to notice that if Chinese people eat at a particular Chinese restaurant it can’t be all that bad and there were quite a few Asian families here. I wasn’t too disappointed. Of note for me were the steak stir fry and garlic chicken. They were pretty good. Though I did notice some inconsistency on the refills. That doesn’t matter since the kids loved most of what they tried, including a whole lot of shrimp. Would I come here again? I think so. The kids want to already. It’s not perfect, but it will do.

This rating is only three stars. But we also say«Chinese Buffet — Its as good as it gets.» We just left another Chinese Buffet(on S. 76th street). We left all the plates on the table with food and drink and just walked out. It was Saturday night and we wanted edible food. We keep coming back here IF we need a buffet. Lots of choices and nice drink and desert choices. Yes, it’s packed with kids and people and tables. Often the place is packed because of the choices and reasonable price. We enjoy the crispy green beans, endless shrimp — hot and cold, rice choices, egg foo young, a couple broccoli choices, and the rice milk, root beer floats, and desert options. I always see plates piled high with Crayfish, though not my choice. There is a fantastic THAI place just north up the street. But for kids and a budget buffet, this is where we eat. I have to say we are fans because this is the best Chinese buffet in town.

Get ready for one shitty review. Wow, this place is awful and I don’t see how anybody could rate it above 1 star. This is probably my third time at this place, out of convenience because it’s the closest Chinese buffet to my house, and every time I come here I forget about how terrible it was the last time. Perhaps I enjoy the pain. Hopefully this review will remind me to never come back. Food — if you want to stuff yourself full with unknown questionable animal meat and wash it down with a side of grease, then this is your place. Salt must be cheap from wholesale because it was the theme of the buffet. Even the fried rice tasted like someone took a bath in it before it’s served to you. Everything was dried up(in a way where noodles not meant to be crispy were crispy coupled with two words: shriveled meat) and at room temperature. There was not one item on the buffet that was decent, so no need for the hit-and-miss trick as mentioned by another reviewer. I can only hope I do not get food poisoning in the next 24 hours. Ambiance — carpet is dirty, buckets of dirty water with towels used to wipe your tables dine next to you, and if you don’t have kids, you won’t want them after dining with the random children screaming and running around. Perhaps this is a positive — there is no additional cost for building a fort with your own plates that are not taken away during your meal. Cost — at $ 10 per person, do yourself a favor and dig around in the dumpster behind the restaurant because you’ll find the equivalent there for free. Alternatives — Across the street is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Milwaukee. Fortune Chinese Restaurant. Though it is not a buffet, you can certainly get a combination meal that you might even have leftovers for. A new Chinese buffet in Menomonee Falls is probably worth trying and driving to. Asian Buffet & Grill. For a lower price, you get a world of difference and get a taste of what a normal Chinese buffet should taste like. Still perhaps overly salted as most Chinese buffets are, but a much better variety and it actually tastes like human food.

New China is a bit of a puzzle. Generally very busy around lunch and dinner times, this is probably the only time I’d choose to go, because the food is very likely to be fresh. That said, even during these times, it can be a bit of hit-and-miss, but one of the nice things about a buffet is that you aren’t locked in to one thing. Get several things, and if one of them is bad, leave it. However, if you go during slack times, you’ll find it a lot harder to find fresh things on the buffet. The Chinese that they have varies a bit in quality, but generally on par with any average Chinese take-out. There are a selection of mediocre-quality American items, such as pizza and nachos, nice for kids but they are clearly provided by some foodservice vendor. While they(sometimes?) have things like crab legs, expect that another customer won’t mind loading up his or her plate with all the ones they just brought out(can you say jerky and selfish?), so if you want that sort of thing, this may not be the place to go. Not a place to go if you’re looking for really good food, but a fine place if you just want to get a quick meal of average food.
