Cashiers are slow & sparse. Five PM on Friday & only 4 lanes open. Each lane had 5 plus customers waiting. It took me 18 minutes to navigate the line & checkout. Not cool! Especially when you see employees walking around like they’re bored. They looked like managers in their white button up collard shirts with ties. Grab a register Pilgrim & hook us customers up. I didn’t expect to camp out here! For some reason this location does not have self checkouts. What a bummer, I only had 1 item.

Apparently this location is open until midnight seven days a week, yet only adequately staffs during prime hours. I came in after work, picked out my two items and noticed one checkout lane open with a line of customers extending into an aisle. A couple other customers with their shopping carts were standing in front of me staring at the line in a «mind blown» sort of moment, debating what to do, and using a few expletives while they did so. A couple of employees by the service desk were punching out, one made the comment that it was 9 o’clock and time for people to go home. Another employee was playing with a promotional display basketball and hoop while this was going on. I assume one man was a supervisor as he stood like someone off of Reno 911 on his walkie talkie. After about 5 minutes one of the service desk employees finally opened up a lane but I decided to just go to the gas station across the street instead of bother them.

Pick n save, the bane of Milwaukee. Can you get good food here? I suppose. At this store, sometimes the salad bar is dirty and needs cleaning, sometimes it doesn’t. When it is clean, its a nice way to make a $ 5 lunch. That and I will occasionally buy a foccacia bread. Other than that, I avoid this store like the plague. When it first opened, the floor was so highly polished that I nearly slipped and hurt myself. You see, this store was a home depot for a year or two before closing, and pick n save did what they always do, sit in a crappy building until they build a metro market next door. I am not sure that will happen, as they moved kitty corner across 76th and good hope. As usual, the old store sits abandoned. I go here for lunch, not to buy groceries. Too annoying to get groceries here. Awkward parking lot and entrance/exit. The outdoor section where home depot sold plants and stuff sits 100% dormant. People always buying tons of groceries during their lunch… use the special check out that’s near the hot bar and salad bar to avoid the crowd.

Cheese Nips have always offended me! LOL Visited my sis in Milwaukee, WI. This is where they shop. It’s a version of Pack N Save or Grocery Outlet. Place was clean and pricing was good. The only thing is the cashiers are super slow. They accept coupons and also do double coupons for extra savings if you’re into couponing(my sister is). Yup that’s it.

Which one? There are many… I know. Good Hope and 76th st. I think that this is the largest Pick n Save in the area it also doubles as a distribution point for the other smaller stores. This was a Kmart a Home Depot and now a grocery store. As far as service they are pretty good the staff members may not know you by name but they are pleasant and cordial and helpful. The selection is very large they have biggest frozen pizza selection I’ve ever seen. It’s not as close as the Port washington Rd. store but its on a main road I travel. I’ve been there during peak and off peak. And my only problem is not enough cashiers. It’s even more noticeable when you are in a hurry. Well I am sometimes. I’m not sure why? Beer, wine and spirits is in the same building with a separate door. Which could mean two things either you will have to shop twice if you’re shopping for both food and alcohol or it’s a lot easier if you’re just shopping for one or the other. Two bad there isn’t something In the middle. My guess it is a local county ordinance maybe. Food: 5 stars good looking produce great displays. Ambiance: 4 big parking lot wide isles both in and out. Service: 4 regular staff needs more clerks. Location: 3 a bit further than other stores. Value: 4 still pays to shop the circulars for sales. Btw I get the Shepherd and Onion news in the lobby. They have more ads than the on line versions.
