I’m not too much a fan of Pick ‘n Save, yet I always go just because it’s the most accessible in Milwaukee. Their selections are SO limited. If I could handle Woodman’s every time I needed to shop it’s much preferable to go there. However, I just don’t want to truck through a giant store all the time. Most times I like In and Out! They do have double coupons on Weds and Sat, that is nice even though I don’t take that much advantage of it. Roundy’s branded stuff is sometimes really bad quality I’ve learned from making those«exceptions» to save $.50 or so. If it’s really horrible quality it shouldn’t be on the shelf, though.

Why must Roundy’s keep remodeling these old stores until they’re impossible labyrinths? I swear, I used to go to this store weekly up until about 10 years ago. what a shock it was to walk in. This store used to be easy to navigate, now it looks like Aldi’s and Sendik’s had a love child, and Aldi’s pushed Sendik’s down the stairs when she was nine months pregnant. This store is a hot mess. Why is it so damn dark in here? I thought I made a mistake and stepped foot in some Goth Nightclub. How about we change some bulbs, or put up some more lights! I came in during a hectic day. I was hoping to score some Veggie Sausages without having to travel across town for them. No luck. Even with Roundy’s overhaul to try to become more trendy and all encompassing, their«meat substitutes» remain sparse. This didn’t overly upset me, I just gave up my Pescatarian lifestyle for a day and decided to grab a pack of brats for grilling. I made my way up to the registers, and to my dismay they had about 2 registers and the four self checkouts open that day. This added on a good 10 – 15 minutes on what was supposed to be a run in and out kind of trip. Between this and not being able to find anything in the store, i spent over a half hour here. It’s Sunday afternoon, you know you’ll be busy, why don’t you schedule a few more cashiers. You guys do it at your Coldspring location. And speaking of the Coldspring location, why don’t you guys(and just about every other Pick location) model yourselves after this store. Why is this seemingly the only store in the area that can function properly? Save yourself some time. Go somewhere else.

Great selection. While I expected the prices to be lower than Chicago(they’re not), the selection is a bit better than many of the groceries. Yes, we’re talking cheese, a.k.a. manna from heaven. Specifically cheese curds — I cannot find these bad boys in Chicago. At least not fresh ones. Yes, squeaky. Whenever I pop home i come here with my Mom to do a little shopping for the lunch we then make. And then I stock the f*ck up on curds. And garlic summer. Mom and I argue a little bit«why not have the bakery cut the bread, why do you want to cut your own bread, pioneer woman?»(yes, I tease my mom like that.). But that’s what we do. They have more Usingers products than anyplace I’ve found in Chicago all together — liver sausage, salami, garlic summer. Everything I like. Other than that, it’s your standard grocery store. It’s just the one I always go to. And I trust their prices are the lowest, ‘cos Thrifty Mom is all over that stuff.

Poor customer service, cashiers talk to each other while waiting on customers, prices are higher then woodmans, hit or miss on actually having an item I need.
