Pizza Hut

I ordered online and received an email stating it would be delivered by a certain time, 45 minutes after that time, I called the store. I was told that the driver already left and would be there «soon.» No apology, no effort made to rectify the delay. On my order I specified delivery instructions in the field for the info. I asked that they deliver to side door and ring bell as I live in a multi unit home. When the delivery person came, they rang the front doorbell (not mine) and parked illegally on a street where no parking is allowed. I had to walk outside, across the neighbors lawn, and as I approached the lady, she had an attitude when I said that she was delivering to the wrong door. Again, no apology for being late or completely disregarding the delivery info. She proceeded to be nasty with me when I signed my receipt so I decided for the first time ever, to leave NO tip. Late, cold food, wrong door, and an attitude for no reason. To top it all off, this lady decided to call my cell phone, a number provided for customer service purposes, and left me a nasty voicemail. I called the store again and let them know and they couldn’t have cared less. Negative rating would be more accurate. Papa Johns, Dominos, Papa Murphys, basically any of their competitors have my patronage from now on.

You’re not going to find a place with ruder service than this place. Don’t bother calling cuz they won’t pick up, or they’ll let it ring 20 times hoping you’ll just hang up. The 2 hour wait times don’t help either.

I always feel unsafe when ordering carry out from this place. Funny thing is, I live in Kops Park and I never feel unsafe anywhere else.
The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or updated since the 1980s. The wallpaper in the place looks like they salvaged it from a condemned doctors office about to be torn down, and every time I’m in here, I feel like someone is going to run in, pull out a gun and rob the place.
Because the neighborhood is so crappy, they close the carry-​out portion at 9PM and force you to do delivery. Frankly, I think they should do the opposite. They should close down delivery at 9PM and have carryout only. Delivery drivers are much more likely to be robbed than the store itself.
This place is also severely understaffed. I’ve ordered delivery from here a few times. It once took 1 hour 45 minutes to show up at my door. I called the store twice, and the woman over the phone assured me my food would not arrive cold. Of course, when it finally arrived, it was cold. I still tipped the driver, however. I’m a pizza delivery driver myself and it is RARELY the driver’s fault.
Anyway. This pizza hut sucks. But it’s the only pizza hut around. So what are you going to do?

I had this brilliant idea after trying to order from pizza hut tonight that I would go on Unilocal and post a 1-​star review. Much to my surprise, I already posted one 4 months ago! Oh well.
This place claimed they were closed at 10:30PM on a Saturday night. WHAT?! I’m sorry. Late night pizza delivery is like the only pizza delivery that’s worth a damn. And you’re telling me that y’all close at WHAT TIME?! What are you, an old lady who needs to get up early tomorrow for the early bird Sunday brunch specials at Denny’s? Because that’s who I think you are, Pizza Hut.
I was able to satisfy my Pizza Hut craving at the one on 57^th and Capitol. Their drive-​thru window is open until 1AM.

They finally remodeled it. It now looks really… red. The staff is still pretty incompetent. I once went here with my sister and asked the cashier to split the total bill in half. It was an $ 18 bill, and she charged my sister $ 14 and me $ 4. I felt like trying to teach her fractions was pretty hopeless.

I truly expect my experiences with PH to be terrible, but even so, this location is the MF’ing WORST! My previous review talked about deliveries being late EVERY. DAMN. TIME. So, they obviously heard my pain and started quoting realistic times — last week it was TWO HOURS on a rando weeknight. Hells no, I am not waiting 2 hours for shitty pizza!
Now, I am clearly a complete idiot — because I called tonight to place an order. At 4:30pm (hardly prime time, you know?) only to be put on hold for 10+ minutes. When they finally picked up, the person taking more order proceeded to tell me what a «nice voice» I had. Mothafucka, I just gave you my address — could you be any creepier?
He’s going to be mighty surprised when 6’4″ Mister answers the door.
Now that I’m done with this update, I’m programming Dominos on the speed dial.
