Sears: 1.5 stars for the Highway 100 /Burleigh location. We reluctantly purchased a washing machine through this Sears. It was one of those scenarios any homeowner dreads: our washing machine broke down unexpectedly(i.e. — it took a shit) and we needed to get a replacement one ASAP. After going to the other standard locations in the area(Colders, Best Buy, American, Grand, etc) without much luck, we thought we’d try here as a last resort. This Sears offers many different models, but the quality of some of them is spotty at best. They also have reconditioned models, which we were not interested in(more on that later). We walked in and immediately had 2 sales sharks approach us — it seems if you say«we’re just looking» that seems to egg them on more here, as though it’s a challenge. We needed time to look over all the models and do a little research. It was impossible to do both those things here, as we kept getting interrupted by the sharks. Some of the models were pretty gross, and we avoided those right off the bat. We finally found one, a LG front loading model — unused and unpurchased — that had been discontinued by the manufacturer and was on clearance for half the normal cost. Most importantly, it was not used, which seems to be unusual for this place. We wound up going home to think about it and do more research, and decided to go with that model. It still had the manufacturer’s warranty and seemed like the best deal out of the machines we’d seen. However, when we went to buy the washer, not only did we get the usual song and dance from D-Bag Extrodinaire(aka the sales manager), but he was incredibly rude and standoffish. He tried to do the whole«Sears extended warranty»(a total rip off) and really wanted to push us into buying it. I cut him off right away and he actually had the nerve to yell at me: «Please let me finish!» Really, dude? After that I told him to save it or we were leaving. In the end, we wound up with a good washing machine, but you really have to look at all the machines to find a good one that hasn’t been used or reconditioned.(if that’s what you’re looking for). We got a bargain, but had to put up with some crap to go along with it. I don’t think we’d go here again.

As you may know Kmart and Sears are related cousins now. And they share the same parking lot. just North of Burleigh st. We went here to find a mildly scratched or newly reconditioned Dish washing machine at a great price. The staff here is friendly and were able to report the warranty and repairs that would be covered and we were looking for a specific brand and it had to be stainless to brighten up a small sized kitchen. That being said, we are still on a journey. We tried looking at the Other retail branches in town for a better deal or price. While the Other Sears store seem to have a good supply of washers and dryers fridges and ovens. This place is kind of the last orphanage for dropped dented and reconditioned open box specials. Depending on how long they were on the floor they do a progressive mark down. And was told that they get new shipments every week. During our past few purchases I got to meet some interesting people who worked at SEARS. We got a patio furniture set for a great deal, one of my complaints was not all of the sales associates know about SCVNGR. application on Apple and Android phones. This gives you a chance to be socially networked while at business that have challenges to earn points these points then in turn become discounts or product. IE soda, Wings, 15−20% off* not all things just certain departments and certain things. For an example I could not use my 20% discount for a microwave oven, or dishwasher, what next a pair of Moon Boots?

I went in here looking for a washing machine, not totally sure what I was looking for — but in the end found some great service from Greg. He knew his stuff, and knew it well. Not only that, he knew what questions to ask, when to give help, and when to step away. Unfortunately, Greg has been transferred to the Oak Creek location — the rest of the staff was so-so. I would recommend Greg — if the rest of the store were like him — 5 stars hands down. Even if the rest of the staff were marginally better… he made up for everything where they lacked. Thanks Greg!
