Stella J’s Soul Food

Went there after church today and all I can say is what a disappointment. I personally believe that everything they served me was day old and or warmed in the microwave. Hot on top and cold in the middle, well at least the tea was ok… They don’t have to worry about seeing me again!!!

I went to Stella J’s on 10÷9÷15 and placed a to-​go order at 5:50pm. At 6:30pm, I still had not received my order and the gentleman with the dreads repeatedly told me my order was coming up. There were two other tables waiting for food, so I’m not sure what the hold up was in the kitchen. Upon arrival, the gentleman with the dreads was making kool-​aid in the front of the restaurant without gloves on in the sink. At 6:45pm, the gentleman with the dreads decided to go and check on my order in the kitchen and I decided to just leave. I’m not sure who the manager is at this estabilshment, but I hope he/​she reads the comments on this site. I’ve been told that the food is great, but how long must a patron wait to be served? I ordered the fried catfish, spaghetti & fried okra as well as a footlong hotdog w/​chili & cheese. I know for a fact that it doesn’t take 45 minutes to fry fish & okra in a fryer that should already be hot. Not to mention patrons that came in ordering the special, which was ribs. Usually people order the special because it’s already prepared, right. I was very disappointed in the service at Stella J’s and unfortunately will never be able to comment on the great food I heard about. I’ll take my service elsewhere.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Sat for 30mins before they finally came to tell me they had no fish that was not frozen… I will never come back. That was such an inconvenience. & I got no apology or even anything for the inconvenience… The rude boy that waits there (Lendell) only offered for me to take a menu… I will never come back to this restaurant!

Very nice people that work there the food is outstanding what else more can I say I will be back
