We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. The wait was very long, at least a half hour. When we did get our food tho it was worth the wait. I had the 2 meat(fried chicken and pork chop)3 side(yams, Mac n cheese, and green beans) And it was delicious. I would definitely recommend Terri Lynn’s to anyone who’4 in the mood for good soul food.,

I’ve Been to the restaurant several times each time customer service was okay– the service is always friendly & inviting, but the waitresses need to work on waitressing techniques i.e. not reaching across the customers chest when dropping off beverages and food. They should walk around to the customer they’re serving, listen when taking food orders. The waitresses should Give the customer their receipt at the table and not tell them to go to the cash register in order to see the bill total. The food is good, but the side dishes are not seasoned and does not measure up to the main dish.

Their food is AMAZING! I’ve tried their Tilapia, Meatloaf and Smothered Pork Chops. They were all equally delicious. Not to mention their side items, Mac n cheese, yams, cabbage, dressing, and fried okra. Taste just like home cooking.

Great customer service… Food needs to be worked on had the lima beans no flavor just bland. Baked Chicken although it was presented well it just was not memorable. If you are paying for a dinner you should get a reasonable size piece of cornbread not here. Please rework you menu items and give Milwaukee a restaurant they can be proud of because there are not many.

I visited Terri Lynn’s about a year ago and I was not pleased… However went back again a couple of months ago and it was very impressed! I ordered the catfish dinner — everything was delicious. I will definitely go there again because next time i want to try the fish salad. It looks amazing. Wish they had longer hours…

New venture. I was referred here by a co-worker. Well thanks soo much, Stephanie!!! I ordered basic to make sure. well a fried chicken dinner contained FOUR big pieces of perfectly fried chicken, two sides and corn bread. WHAT??? In today’s economy. amazing The sides I ordered are cabbage, mac n cheese and yams(to test. if you follow my reviews, you know yams are my favorite). Cabbage was simply made but DELICIOUS. Mac n cheese was actually baked.yummy. Yams were not my thing. no points off because I am extremely particular about them. You must try, for yourself. I guarantee that you will leave with a box or doggie bag :) Fair warning. the chicken is made to order so be prepared for a little wait. I promise it is worth the wait. For the décor buffs… Nothing to write home about, here. Sorry, Terri Lynn’s. The signage is minimal and if you aren’t paying attention you will ride right by it. It is sort of up off of the street in a strip mall type of setting. Overall, A definite repeat Let me know what you think. Until next time The Traveler

I love Terri Lynns! I had the catfish dinner. The catfish was fried to a golden crispness that was so delicious! I always get it. My favorite sides are: the yams, mac n’ cheese, and chicken dumplings. The service was friendly. The interior reminds me if a small banquet hall with rod tables that probably fit up to eight people. Si that is nice when you have a group larger than 4. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the large portions. They have sweet tea that complements their soul food menue. The one thing I don’t like are that u can not order entrée items a la cart. I had wanted to add shrimp to my catfish dinner but was told I would have to order a shrimp dinner to get shrimp. So I didn’t order the extra dinner. If u could have been able to add shrimp I would have gave them 5 stars. despite that, I strongly recommend Terri Lynn’s. Its a great place north of Capital Dr that had great soul food.

Just happened to be in the area and remember a friend told me about this place. Its a very unassuming place with limited signage. You likely wouldn’t stop if you didn’t know about it. they are only open 4 days a week Thursday and Friday 12 – 8 Saturday 9 – 6 and Sunday 1 – 6 This is good southern cooking! We were told to go on a Sunday for their soul food and will at some point for sure. We went for the Saturday country breakfast.(served 9 – 6). They have a great variety of breakfast choices with two particularly interesting southern classics, smothered chicken and fried pork chops. I had the smothered chicken with hash browns and eggs and wow what a breakfast. Served fresh and hot and was really good. The pork chop was a bit salty but that could just be my taste. When you walk in it looks more like a small banquet hall with 10 – 11 banquet style tables(it appears they do a fair bit of catering). Your not coming here for atmosphere your coming for great southern cooking. Service was excellent and really friendly and helpful. Looked at the Sunday menu and cant wait to come back. I really want the peach cobbler and banana pudding the waitress told me about!

The food was really good. We waited 15 minutes, which was well worth it because the food was fresh and hot! I will definitely be back!
