Placed a take out fish fry order. Friendly service. Fish was very good. Cole slaw and tartar sauce were good. The potato pancakes were okay, but may be better when you dine in. Three piece fish for $ 9.95, with choice of potato, rye bread, Cole slaw, lemon and tartar sauce. Would definitely order again.

Helllooo flashback! Steven’s is where you go to reminisce about the fancy supper clubs your grandparents took you to when you were a kid. Boilermakers never went out of style here. It is not much on the décor, but the service and the ambiance is homey. I normally do not eat steak at restaurants — it seems to taste better at home on the grill. However, I do make an exception for Steven’s. The menu is very traditional with steaks highlighting the offerings. Need Chicken or seafood? They have that too. No one is going to win any chef innovation prizes here, but they serve consistently well prepared food. You will get a warm bread basket(with honey butter) and soup or salad with your entrée. I think they used to serve a relish tray and both soup and salad(instead of one or the other) in days of yore, but I could be mistaken. Most entrees are under $ 20 and steak will run no more than $ 25. The bar is very inviting and the cocktails are well made. The whole atmosphere is casual and without artifice. Got jean shorts and a hoodie on? No problem. Not sure I agree with Toni D that it is ‘classy’ but I will say that they do their best to make everyone feel invited and satisfied. Maybe that is what being classy is all about…

I went in with some friends for dinner around 7pm on a Friday and was sat with no wait. The dining area is smaller than I expected(I believe there’s a downstairs area though). I got the Steak sandwich and was VERY disappointed. It was a 6oz cut served on toast. Not texas toast or a thick hoagie bun like you’d expect, just regular toast! Needless to say with all the juice from the steak it quickly fell apart. The steak was decent, a little thougher than I like. My only other complaint was that our waitress took a long time to get us our check and they weren’t even that busy, but it was nothing major. I do have to go back and try the fish fry sometime.

From the food, the staff and the cocktails, this supper club style restaurant is classy. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion with a party of 2 or 12, a meeting of the minds or a sandwich at the bar you will be pleased with the customer service and delicious food. The prime rib is to die for, the BLT isn’t better anywhere. There is a parking lot with free parking and the owner will probably check in with you and learn your name. Spin the wheel on a couple of games, watch the live sports event on TV, play the jukebox. You will have a great time at Steven’s
