My toddler outgrew the Robeez sizing and I was having trouble figuring out the correct size for him at Target. Other moms recommended this store. My experience could not have been better! We were the only ones there on a Thursday at noon. The sales person was very good with my almost 2 year old while sizing him and finding a good pair of shoes for him. He was very excited about a pair of spiderman slip-on hard-sole shoes(a great transition from robeez). I also found a nice pair of blue shoes with orange detailing(he loves the color orange). Both pairs happened to be on clearance! Two pairs of stride rite shoes only cost us $ 40! I was expecting to pay $ 50/pair from this store’s reputation. The store also had a lot of toys, activities, stickers, etc. He could have stayed all day just to play in this store. It was difficult to get him to leave! It was a nice day, so we walked around the mall with his new shoes on. He really seems to love them and no tripping! I was surprised for transitioning from soft-sole to hard-sole shoes. We will definitely be back when he outgrows these!

Despite supposedly being a «high end» children’s shoe store(the prices certainly align with this idea) — this location of Stride Rite doesn’t seem to have put much thought into who they hired, at least for the Sunday afternoon crew. Obviously bored late-teens/twenty somethings, who are either on commission, or jonesing for the manger’s approval. They seem to «triage» customers based more on order size rather than order-of-arrival. When they had to order an out-of-stock item from another store for me, and, apparently, that wasn’t convenient, I was told that such orders were a secondary concern to «in store» orders, via the manager’s policy. Also, this is a store that solely exists to sell –children’s– shoes, including booties and shoes for non-walking infants. And yet — the customer accessible bathroom doesn’t have a diaper changing table, the whole empty wall where one could go being taken up by an important Glade plugin. This is really inconvenient for shoppers with young children. Closest changing table is at Kohls. Ended up returning these shoes, and going to Payless. Shoes are half as much, and the staff was a lot more interested and helpful.
