Hands down, without a doubt my favorite grilled cheese in the city. It’s oooey and gooey and oh-so-good! Is made with a giant flatbread and comes with bacon and tomato too, a delicious touch. The fries are also the business, my mouth waters just thinking about the food… A solid Irish bar, with a large back patio that is lovely during the summertime. I would highly recommend the Irish Pub if you are in the neighborhood and looking for some tasty noms.

I love this place! Every time I’ve been here it’s always been a great experience. I think what appeals to me most about this place is the clientele. I’m so over the college bar scene, the frat bros in matching Plaid shirts who come out in a pack of 10 after finishing their kegger, the«21» year old girls who cry and act like uncivilized swamp donkeys after their second Malibu pineapple lemonade splash of cranberry with a lemon and 3 cherries. You won’t find any of that here. Most of the patrons seem to be in their late 20’s or older and can have normal friendly conversation which is a rarity from most Milwaukee bars I’ve been to. The bar is always very clean and I like the horseshoe shape of it on the one end. They have a good selection of staple beers you would expect an Irish bar to have with a few other good selections thrown in. I haven’t tried all of their food but what I have had has been very good! I was intrigued to try their«Chocolate Thunder» wings and they were delicious! The bartenders that have served me have always been very friendly. And they have a very nice little hidden patio which is rare to find in the 3rd ward. Definitely go here!

The kitchen is a little slow, but it is small and everything is made«fresh» so I understand. There are a lot of regulars at the bar, especially during happy hour. IP has good daily specials and a fun patio for warm days!

Pretty hard to believe that I’ve never set foot in the Irish Pub until just recently, but I liked the place. The interior is bigger than it might appear from the outside. There’s a front bar, a good sized back room and a nice patio for warm evenings. It’s your standard«Irish» bar set up meaning well worn wood tables and chairs, some tin Guinness signs and a good amount of TV’s for sportsball watching. There’s a full menu but we were in for happy hour which was a really good deal Drinks are $ 1 – 2 off and on the day we went, burgers were just $ 1. Obviously, you’ll pay a bit extra for cheese and/or other toppings but for a happy hour burger it was really, really good. The patty was juicy, the bun was nicely toasted and they did something I’ve never seen before but I think everyone should adopt. When we ordered pickles, they diced up dill pickles instead of using your standard bread and butter pickles. Loved it. Service was good too — she checked in with us regularly and kept everyone well supplied with beverages. My only hesitation here is that there’s never anywhere to park but that’s the 3rd Ward for you. Worth a stop, especially for the happy hour specials.

a nice bar again in Milwaukee. Not much parking here but this is a good place with a outdoor courtyard in the summer that beats anything nearby but in half the year can’t really be enjoyable. Good drink specials and plenty of seating makes this another gem bar.

Ran across this place on a Bloody Mary tour(must do) and enjoyed vibe and French fries with aioli mayo delicious!!! They have my one of my husband’s favorite beers: mud puppy porter! Went back after tour. Check it out!

The Guinness is not an authentic or far from a good Irish pour of the black stuff. They show Irish rugby matches but only 6 nations matches and only on St Patricks Day, you lose a lot of points for not showing Irish rugby and Pro 12 Rugby matches. Not to mention the fact that Pro 12 season lasts from August to May, so only 3⁄17 will not cut it. The food is mostly American, not Irish. Which is fine because Irish food can be pretty bland! Service is just ok but it could be faster. The beer selection was not overwhelmingly at all.

Loved the outdoor patio area. I had fish and chips, the homemade fries were fantastic. My wife had the grilled cheese which was huge and she says absolutely the best she’s had. Homemade flatbread with two different cheeses, bacon, onion strips and tomatoes.

The Irish pub is my go to spot for late night fun, and watching sports games(soccer, football, and Brewers games). The service has always treated me kindly. decent bar food as well. My favorite items are the jamo wings, grilled cheese, and pub fries. I would recommend to all of my friends and out of towners.

Love this place. Hanging out in the third ward this is a great place to hang out especially in summer in the patio. Sports and great crowds make this a must do in this area. Food is bar food. Good enough to keep you going.

A friend of mine lives across the street from the Irish Pub, so it is very convenient for him to meet there, or if we are hanging out at his place, its very easy for us to run across the street for a drink or two. On Tuesdays they have really cheap, yet delicious, wings, and they also have some pretty good happy hour specials on domestic beers. The Irish Pub knows what it wants to be, and they do it very well. Don’t walk in here expecting to get your socks knocked off, but do expect to have a good time with good people.

Went there for a St. Paddy’s day pub crawl and it was absolutely awful!!! They didn’t honor the pub crawl drink specials, the pub was crowded, our food took over 30 minutes(and we all got their Reuben sandwiches), there was a fight that broke out because a group of guys was super drunk and they didn’t have any security kicking them out, so the drunk guy stayed and pushed my friend out of the way!!! Rude!!! I told the server/owner and she apologized to one of my friends and gave her money back because her food took the longest, but she never apologized to anybody else, including my friend who got pushed out of the way by the freaking drunk guy!!! I do NOT recommend it!!! Go to Mo’s Irish pub instead… or any other bar around it… there are lots of other ones to chose from! Very disappointed with the whole situation!

Come for the Bloody Molly, stay for the garlic chips. I’m not a huge Bloody Mary fan and I can’t explain to you the science of it, but this version that’s made with Jameson whiskey instead of vodka is my favorite bloody in the city. Garnished with bacon and the usual veggies, it’s smooth and sweet — the tomato juice and whiskey interact and somehow take away the worst of each other, leaving just the honey sweetness of the whiskey. It’s dangerously good. The whole bar is so much bigger than you think it is if you’ve only ever glanced in — there’s a whole second back room plus one of the best hidden-secret patios in the city. The chips(fries) are thick cut and seasoned and come with this fragrant, delicious aioli. Probably best not to get those if you’ve got kissy plans in your day, but otherwise, go to town because they’re a blessing. There’s always footie, rugby or the like on the tvs and a great, random, eclective mix of folks here. Totally under rated from start to finish.

Taco night on Thursdays is why I come here! Who would ever think you could find some of the best tacos at an Irish pub?! Oh and did I mention they are only $ 2!!! Service is a little slow up front but maybe the back is better. Large outdoor patio area also.

For starters, the entrance is not obvious. Managing to get in the door is your first test. Once you’re in, there will be more challenges. Depending on when you come in, it may be seemingly empty, or it may be jam packed. It can change in what seems like a matter of minutes. It’s like the tide. Enjoy low tide, be careful around high tide. Test #2 — Can you find the beer garden? If you can, and it’s not winter, you’ll likely enjoy it back there. It’s lovely. Test #3 — Can you find the bathroom? Just a hint, the men’s and women’s aren’t anywhere near each other, just to keep it interesting. Test #4 — What are you going to eat? All the food I’ve ever had here is great. Test #5 — Do you go for one of the many drink specials, or order a schmancy beer, or go for a good old standby like captain and diet? Just kidding, #4 and #5 aren’t really tests, there’s no right answer. I’ve found myself here a number of times in my post-water street partying, pre-supper club regular age. It’s always an odd mix of people, and they actually leave the barstools out all night so you can sit and drink with your people in peace… unless the tide rolled in and then you’ll have people reaching over you all night. Irish Pub gets extra bonus points for being somewhere I’ve patronized at least 3 times in my temporarily permanently sober state and I don’t hate it! I even enjoyed it! All three times! I cannot say this about some other places that I loved whilst drinking, yet whilst sober, would rather lick sandpaper covered in hot sauce than stay for 2 minutes longer. Congratulations if you passed tests #1-#3 on your first visit! You’ll most likely be back.

I lived in Milwaukee for 8 years, but never made it here. I was in town for an event and a friend recommended we go here for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised; great food, prices that won’t empty your wallet, and a very friendly staff. I’d highly recommend the fish and chips; delicious moist cod with a crispy but not overwhelming breading, handmade fries, and a curried coleslaw that really surprised me(in a good way). The staff is friendly and take time to talk and recommend food and drinks. I never felt I was being rushed out the door and the place has a good neighborhood feel. I’ll definitely be back!

Aside from the food served the name speaks for itself. If you cannot find the entrance, well then look a little harder. It’s there, trust me. As you enter you’ll find the bar, you just cannot hide that. Search a little more and you can discover another hidden jem… The beer garden. With myself coming from a city of great beer gardens this one is splendid. Tons of foliage with minimal views of the surrounding urban area. If I had known this sooner I would be making frequent detours in the summer months between home and work. Service was on key and swift to but a beer in an empty hand. During my last visit I dove into their grilled cheese. Oh my, what a twist on it and filling to the brim. Flat bread grill to perfection with cheddar, tomatoes and bacon in between. Will I be going back? Hell yes…

Still a great local bar, but was disappointed that apparently(according to our waitress) they won’t be serving mimosas here anymore. Bloody Mary’s have also changed to have less in them. Breakfast menu includes one biscuit pulled pork sandwich with fried egg and cheese. It is pretty tasty though.

This is my go-to watering hole in the third ward with decent drink specials and good menu for a pub. No more brunch menu. Sad. It was amazing. And they never had a wait. The bloodies have been nerfed as well. Good lunch finding this place though, last time I checked google maps doesn’t know this places exists.

Looking for a Monday night deal, I came to Irish Pub to hop on their World Cup Specials. For the duration of the entire World Cup, they have some amazing deals going which include dollar burgers and two dollar PBRs. Having tried dollar burgers at other joints, I wasn’t expect much except for my wallet and stomach to be happy — not my pallet. We sat at the bar, assuming there we would receive the fastest service. The bar is somewhat uncomfortable to sit at. Our server forewarned us that the kitchen was backed up but gave us an estimated time that our burgers would be ready. Unlike most servers, the time that our server gave us was very accurate. He also gave us several updates on who’s order was in front of us and when we’d be next, etc. I’m a fairly inpatient person, especially when I’m hungry, so to have someone update me several times on when my food will be out is something I greatly appreciate. When the burgers came out they looked very good. Melted cheese, greasy-looking but not too greasy, and hot. They tasted like a good quality burger that someone grilled up for you. And the size of the burger was pretty solid for $ 1 as well. I was pleasantly surprised how good the«dollar» burger was. Between 3 cheeseburgers and 4 PBRs our bill was $ 13. I think I’m starting to love the World Cup.
