nice scenery, but possibly the worst cheese curds I’ve ever had. didn’t even know it was possible to mess those up. beer was flat, coconut shrimp was burned. waitress messed up the order but was accommodating to fix.

Being on the river can be a bit tricky due to the oder. We got lucky and the wind was in our favor, sat out on the deck and enjoyed the scenery. They had an entire list of shrimp specials the day we were there, had three different ones, they were all just average.

Great find on Groupon and will now be a regular. great tasting food and spunky service. Looks like this place is a shoot in summer; looking forward to sipping and eating in the warm weather !

I’ll start off by saying the service was very friendly the waitress gave my daughter a complementary piece of cake for her good grades that we commented on, that was very nice, the apps. We’re very tasty the coconut shrimp was very crispy complemented by the dipping sauce, and the crab cakes were very flavorful, the main course was also very good expecially the cheesy mashed potatoes my only criticism is the over priced crab for the amount but overall all a decent meal.

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! My friend and I were provided with amazing service and both had crab legs that tasted absolutely delicious! To top off the great dining experience we were having, after our meal the manager brought us free dessert just out of kindness!

It was nov when I came so the outside wasn’t open but the inside bar and seating was great. Tv for sports and great beer selection. Food was really good too

The outside is nice during warm months. The wait staff was nice. The food was not so nice. The cheeseburger ordered medium well was raw. The potato dish ok. The crab cake was ok. The presentation was ok for bar food. Table was dirty when arrived. The place was not busy. Also the salt and pepper shakers were gross

After passing by here for a couple of years, finally decided to try this place! We got there about 6:30 and it was wide open for seating. Sat outside on the deck(beautiful night). Place is reminiscent of a joint in Key West by its setup/appearance. Ordered the Milwaukee Chowder. Didn’t find anything«Milwaukee» about it, but it was tasty. My dinner companion found a wad of Saran Wrap in her soup and asked for a different serving. Waitress promptly brought it out(thought they wouldn’t charge for that but they still had it on the bill). I wanted to order the walleye but they«just ran out» — at 6:30? Ok, I ordered tilapia instead. Along with that I had the rum glazed carrots and cheddar mashed potatoes. Fish was piping hot(pan seared) but the carrots and potatoes were just warm. Everything tasted very good, just wish the carrot glaze was thicker and carrots had been cooked a bit more to absorb the flavor because it was delish. Didn’t order dessert but was curious about the cherry bread pudding. A friend just recently went there. He described the meal as average but did say the bread pudding was awesome so I guess I should have started with dessert! All in all, nothing fancy but a good place to stop. I’d go back again — just be careful of the Saran Wrap and next time ask for that to be taken off the bill!

Sad to say, might never come back given my one experience here. I will admit, I didn’t eat there, but looking at the menu, it was nothing to get excited about. Standard pub fare with a seafood twist. Given the fact that we had a large group, I should give them a break. However, size of the group you are waiting on should never determine the service you provide. Our waitress was close to one of the worst I’ve never had. Rude and impatient are two very good words to describe her. Not to mention, she was hardly seen after you ordered a beverage(6 bottled beers shouldn’t take 45 minutes) and good luck getting a second once you finished. Not excited about this place. Too bad too, because the location is perfect for those«I want to be near the beach» nights after work.

The deck makes this place! Think of it as an easy to find Barnacle Bud’s. I wouldn’t come here in winter or on a rainy day, but on a nice day I am happy to eat their average at best food, as long as I can eat it on the deck with a view of the city. On a recent visit I had the crab cakes. The flavor was good, but they were barely cooked. Give me some crunch for cripes sake! The general consensus with my coworkers what that everything was A-OK. Foodies they are not. Service was slow, but redeemed with separate checks without asking. I’ll come back, but on my bike or on a nice day.

The atmosphere here is really cool as it is right on the river and even has seats in the sand so you can dip your toes in. It also has a pier so boats and kayaks can pull up and come hangout. The service is pretty slow but the drinks are delicious. The prices are pretty moderate depending on what you get. I’ve never ordered a meal here but my most recent visit I ordered the Calamari and it was not good at all.

Overstaffed and lack of management and motivation. Arrived at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. There were 5 or 6 employees milling about behind the inside bar. Another 15 or so in the restaurant. One nice young woman took our drink(a tap beer and margarita on the rocks) order and served us promptly. Then left. Then the rest of the staff emptied out from behind the bar. We waited for about 6 – 7 minutes before we saw another bartender appear and start making drinks. About 10 minutes later, he asked us if we wanted refills. I was a little crabby because I had to wait so long and declined. We briefly chatted and he went back to work, We were ready to go after another 15 minutes and had to wait… and wait… A new young girl printed our receipt; we also asked to briefly chat with a manager. She pointed at a man who was staring at a binder and she went and asked if he would talk to us. Apparently, he was too busy to talk with us for 30 seconds, But had the time to be snippy with his new employee. Forget this place. I’ll never waste my money here again.

What a patio!!! 4th of July was able to pull up on a friends boat and dock right in front of their huge patio and walk right on in. One of the best patios around town. That is by far the best thing the place has to offer however. Decent drink menu and available beers and a nice open concept. For being a seafood place the chincy paper menu was a bit odd. Decided on getting the ribs. Ribs at a seafood joint was probably my fault for making that choice but they were a bit dry and no meat. The sauce was very good, but there wasn’t much to them. My sides were fries and mac n cheese. Both weren’t bad, but weren’t great. Mac n cheese was a bit bland and not as cheesy as I could have liked but definitely edible and a good compliment. I tried the girlfriends Perch fish fry and it was awful. Tried another friends cod fish fry and that was good. Overall, sitting on the patio is always a great time to drink and eat, however need to be careful with choices on food.

Here’s what’s up: this place is no frills adorable. I can appreciate that. Our server was a sweet little thang. We all love that. But this food was whack for the most part. I tried not one but two soups. I want to suffocate that lobster bisque. As in put it to death. There was no lobster, so you can’t really call a soup with nothing in it a soup. It was lobster bisque broth. Don’t lie and don’t expect your customers to spend effort trying to discover your falsifications. It’s a disservice. And the broth, at that, was very oily. So then I tried the clam chowder which the server said was better when I ordered the lobster(less) bisque. Riddle me this Batman: how the heck did the base broth come out with the exact same appearance and texture as the lobster bisque? Still oily, but strangely, less flavor. As we all know, lobster bisque has an orangey color and clam chowder(this is Milwaukee so it’s 90% of the time New England, not Manhattan) has a white color. These two shouldn’t resemble one another, at all really. There were at least chunks of stuff in the clam chowder. So it was more than just a broth. But, as I said, strangely less flavor, still oily and I’m not even sure what those chunks were because it was all so old tasting as if it sat for days, weeks, who knows. Other people in their group like and disliked their food = inconsistency. You can’t trust or count on this menu. Also, I found it very tacky that the kitchen staff takes so many cigarette breaks walking right past diners sucking on a cig. Hope they wash their hands but also they should really find someplace else to smoke instead of in front of the diners. No one wants to think about nicotine all up in the food prep. Gross. I like it here because of ambiance but will likely eat someplace else. If I am dying of hunger I’ll definitely limit what I can order and what might possibly be good. Which I feel is really unfair. As a restaurant you have a responsibility to put things in a menu and execute everything you decide to offer. Don’t expect paying customers to delineate good from bad.

Came here Saturday night with some friends for a drink and a bite… We sat at the bar, and although the bartender came to get our order right away, we never had anybody come up to us after that. My friend had ordered a beer and a crab dish, and my other friend and I had ordered just«A water to start with.» thinking we’d get a drink when they came back with the food. After 30 minutes, nobody came to check on us, and the bartender must have finished his shift, because we saw him and two other servers at the bar as well, having an aftershift drink and meal. Nothing wrong with that, hell, I usually take it as a good sign when the staff hangs out after their shift! What wasn’t a great sign, was that we saw people being sat and served, while we sat there less than 10 feet away from staff(on duty and not), without anything in front of us for nearly 50 minutes. If it was a busy night, I could understand mistakes being made, however there were maybe 5 other people in the entire restaurant. Since we were getting frustrated and looking to leave, we figured that we’d just ask for the food to go. When we tried flagging down the bartender, we got a «I’ll be right back,» and he disappeared for a few minutes. When he came back, we asked him to just wrap up the food to go, since it was nearly an hour and we were planning on heading out at that point. Turns out the food hadn’t been made at all. We were told that the ticket was put up in the kitchen, just not made and it apparently had just been missed. They ever so kindly told us that«they took care of our ENTIRE bill,» which was one beer(emphasis theirs). The one beer my friend ordered when we first sat down. When we ordered, there was one other party at the place, so I’m not sure how it could be lost in the confusion. Even with that mistake, there were three of us sitting at the bar, with one drink, for nearly an hour with nobody asking if we wanted anything, checking on us, etc. It’s one thing to make an honest mistake, I’ve worked at restaurants before, shit happens. Even bad service happens, but no service? No excuse. Especially with that much staff around. I was looking forward to coming back during the day, since their patio looks amazing, and it seems like a great new summer spot, but at this point I’m thinking I’ll put in as much effort as the staff did. Not very much.

Stopped by on a Friday night after work. It’s well hidden in the valley area. Made a reservation, but there didn’t seem to be a need for it since it wasn’t all that busy when we got there(~8PM). Service was just okay. We ordered our drinks, then asked for water but the server never brought the water. They do have a decent assortment of drinks, both alcoholic and non. We ordered the mussels as an app, but half of the shells were empty, which was disappointing, since it was delicious. Boyfriend ordered the Milwaukee Chowder, which was excellent! As the main meal, we both ordered the snow crab plate with two sides. I got mac and cheese and potatoes, whereas boyfriend ordered the potatoes and carrots. The carrots were good, but the mac and cheese and potatoes were seriously under seasoned/underwhelming. The crab was good, except all of the salt lacking in the mac/cheese and potatoes was clearly poured into the water the crab legs were in. The crab, again, was good, but very salty. Overall, I’d come back again, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

I came last Saturday during a visit to Milwaukee with my mom and aunt. Mom had been there before and this time had a LivingSocial coupon that we were excited to use, as we all love seafood. We all got blended drinks that were excellent — sweet and boozy alike. For apps we got wings and crab cakes, which were both delicious. Service was cool and he was very attentive but a little too eager. Then I got the surf and turf. The ribs were EXCELLENT! Almost mind-blowing. I was not expecting them to be so damn good! All of the food was good, but I was a tad disappointed in the crablegs, as they were steamed with no seasoning. They lacked flavor and with them being a crab shack I found it to be kind of weird. Anyway, it was an overall good experience. I will definitely be back for the ribs.

We had reservations for 7PM and were seated immediately. They were already out of many things on the menu and after ordering an appetizer, the waitress came back 10 min later and said they were out of that as well. She was very apologetic and truly I could tell she meant it. She bought a round of drinks and all was well. The enclosed patio was very cold. My feet were frozen. Wasn’t thrilled with that :( The food seemed like it took forever to come out. We finally completed our dinner at 8:45 and we’re not slow eaters. I can’t imagine what the wait is like on a busy night. We had a Living Social deal and it was a great way to try it. Definitely wouldn’t go back and pay full price though. Food was decent enough. Had the walleye, grilled with a side a broccoli and Mac and cheese. You can choose 2 sides with any entrée. My boyfriend choose the ribs and surprisingly, they were actually pretty good for a seafood restaurant. May give it another chance in the summer, on the patio for a drink and some sun!
