Walgreens

The store is nice, the pharmacy is the worst in the city, they actually gave me the wrong medication. My name but the wrong medication & when I asked about it, the young balding pharmacist was rude and on top of it, billed my insurance for the mistake by the pharmacist, NEVER! Will I go there. Worst customer service I’ve ever had via a pharmacy, went to cvs A LOT more helpful and nice.
Also 45 – 60 minute wait during the day???

Well, I’m the Duke of this place so I guess it’s only right I post a review…(groans)…
It’s just a Walgreens guys. Stuff is priced way too expensive unless it’s on sale or clearance.
I guess the reason I come here so much is that it’s literally a half mile down the block from me. That makes it pretty kick ass when I’m sick, I need medicine and I really don’t want to travel far.
I like coming here after holidays or the change of seasons. Walgreens can have some really good deals then.
If you buy something here, except to be second or third in line. For some odd reason, this store always manages to have two or three people in line no matter what time of day you go in.

What a nightmare! Today I visited the Walgreens Care Clinic and was sorrily disappointed by the «service» I received. I paid nearly $ 100 for a misdiagnosis and a salesperson masquerading as a health professional.
The half hour wait would not have been an issue and the Nurse Practitioner was perfectly personable except that by the end of the visit I knew she was more interested in prescribing a litany of pricey RX’s and Walgreens products than considering my concerns. She was sure I had Whooping Cough when it was completely viable that I had something like a cold or bronchitis. I know there are cases being reported on the news, but reading more about it I can see my symptoms don’t match. This is a hasty and paranoid deduction. Plus, neither of us can really know for sure because the test was too expensive for me to pay out of pocket in addition to the visit!
The whole experience was a giant waste of my time. Should have gone to Walmart! My prescription (hoping the antibiotic prescribed wipes out whatever this is) is cheaper as is the visit. Plus, Walmart is clear on the prices unlike Walgreens which gave no online info and misleading info at check in. And of course you can’t know until the end of your visit what your damage is because the only thing to interact with upon arrival is a computer kiosk.
And to be truthful, I wasn’t really angry until I received the billing disclaimer stating that the prices for the visit are tentative and you may receive a bill thereafter if the Walgreens bill specialists believe I received above and beyond treatment. Give me a break. I won’t pay a cent more.
You do get to complete a survey at the kiosk at the end of your visit. I did it in hopes of giving real helpful feedback, but instead was asked questions like, «Is Walgreens Care Clinic LLC the right choice for you and your family?» The answer is NO WAY. Never again.

I’ve always found Walgreens to be handy yet slightly more expensive than other similar businesses, but I continue to use it anyway. Their photo printing here is fast! Lighting fast! I had perscriptions here for a while too and have found their pharmacy to be very knowledgable and quick as well.
Groceries here are generally more expensive than most grocery stores, so you’re better off going to one of the two nearby, but for photos and pharmacy, it’s great. I love that they have the rewards card now so that I can save even more. The other day I went there for chips and dip on my way to a party figuring I’d need to spend an arm and a leg and I actually got a $ 4 bag of chips for $ 1.99 when I used my card! Pleasantly pleased!
I also end up coming here when I’m in a pinch for cards, wrapping paper, or gift bags and have always found an impressive selection.
Tip: sometimes there are amazing items on clearance in the back right corner of the store on an endcap by body soaps!
