Okay, it’s a Wal-Mart. And I dislike them overall. BUT there are much better ones to go to if you must. I have been to this one twice ONLY because my bank is inside and it’s the closest one to my work. I think after today I’d rather drive out of my way to go to another bank branch. Let’s see, the first time I was there was during winter when it’s dark by 4 pm outside. I just overall feel unsafe in their parking lot, like a mugging is going to happen to me. That didn’t change being there today in the light of day. There are sketchy people walking around the parking lot(who hangs out in the parking lot unless you are looking for trouble?) and each time a police car has been parked out front. I can’t say much about the inside of the store or the employees, but based on other reviews I’m guessing it’s not much better. People who generally like coming to this location must not have ever been to any other Wal-Mart in the world. I don’t know about you but I shouldn’t feel like I’m scared and going to be mugged shopping at any store. Oh and let’s not forget… as I left the store I was almost ran over by a car of jerks. We all know there are about 8 stop signs outside the entrance of any store. I wonder why? Maybe so the shoppers can enter and exit without being killed! Nope. Even though they were at a stop sign and it was my right to walk, they started driving AT me when I was almost across. Nice, real classy northwest side. Sadly, this area of town is still ghetto. But they have tried to build up the mall area over there with some decent places to shop at. I wish I could check it out sometime but it’s clearly not an area for me. Stay away from this place.

Is this where Walmart merchandise goes to die? This place had the HUGEST clearance section I have EVER seen at a walmart – 10 aisles of NOTHING but clearance!!! Schweet! Was it messy? Yeah. Was it disorganized? Yeah. But hey, that was a cool discovery. You could find everything from soup to Red Bull to Tylenol to Sharpies to Barbie dolls to thongs to potting soil in their clearance section. And as far as I could tell, the med/health/food products weren’t expired. NOTE: if you pick something up from clearance, pay attention to the prices when they’re cashing you out, and make sure you get the advertised price. Otherwise, they had exactly what I was looking for, and I was eventually able to find it all. When one of the items I picked up in clearance didn’t scan with the correct price, my cashier took my word for it and quickly fixed things. I would definitely come back.

I have been to this Walmart twice now and felt the same way, it is really a rough place. The store is crowded and people are loud. I witnessed several altercations between customers by the registers and none of the employees so much as flinched. I hoped I did not get robbed in the parking lot because I don’t think anyone would call for security help. The store itself was a bit disheveled and I could not find help for questions in the hardware department. I will not give it any further consideration. I will drive up to Germantown. Which is too bad, as this store is so close to my home.

I know alot of people have issues with this location and their customer service, i have been to other locations around town I have to deal with long lines, mess and rude employees regardless of where the location(West Milwaukee, Germantown) is– BUTITSWALMART you guys we’re not shopping at Tiffany’s. The store has been renovated, its cleaner and brighter and they’ve expanded the grocery aisles there’s more to choose from now. The last time i went there I found a tiny section for South Asian food. And another thing, if you go and check out at the electronics department then you don’t have to deal with the long lines. I have been looking for a cd/ipod dock station FOREVER, I was planning to purchase one at Best Buy, I was walking around the electronics department clearance, and found-Philips micro music system its everything I wanted. I would’ve paid a little close to $ 200 at Best Buy, I paid drum roll at the register $ 79WHAT!!! but it was marked $ 89, and the original price is $ 179. I also scored a$ 5 sony memory card 4gb. I can’t stop smiling, i wish i could give this store 10 million stars. There is one more thing I want to purchase. I can’t wait to go back and try dig through the clearance section.

As far as Walmart’s go, this has to be their best location by far. One could actually make it down the isles without rubbernecking it with other shoppers, and for goodness sake this place was actually clean! I found my windshield wipers quickly, and they had a couple of booklets to let you know your sizes. I was able to check out quickly, despite their self check out lanes being closed. All in all, probably one of the best Walmart experiences for me.

Ugh. I had to come in here with my boyfriend. Too bright, too big, loud, crazy, messy, and so many more bad descriptors. The first issue is, it’s a frickin’ Walmart. I’m not going to like any Walmart. It is depressing to think about the whole corporation and its finances. Then there is the size and lighting. It is seriously intimidating. Then the check out people, who are the rudest people ever. And hey, I understand. They work at Walmart, who probably pays them shitty, but they need a job, I get it. I’ve been miserable in jobs before too, but sometimes if you pretend you’re really an actor and you try to be happy and positive through your day, it will actually make your day better. Avoid Walmart, shop local.

I’ve read the other reviews for this location, and to be fair, I only dealt with this location’s Automotive Department. Maybe I had a stroke of luck??? With that said, the Automotive Department was pretty damn good! Initially, I called the Germantown location to see if they would be willing to put a sensor in my tire(I had already purchased the sensor from an automotive parts store). I was told that since I was not purchasing the sensor from Walmart, they would not install the item. So then I called the Walmart location on Hope St. I was told that they would install the sensor and probably charge me about $ 5. I took that price with a grain of salt and made my way to their store. When I arrived, I asked them to not only install the sensor, but to also rotate the two tires on the passenger side of the vehicle. I later looked out into the garage and saw that they were rotating the tires on the driver’s side. I asked the clerk behind the desk why the tires on that side were being rotated, and she said she wasn’t sure, but would make sure that I wouldn’t be charged anything additional for those two tires. They worked on my car somewhere in the vicinity of an hour to an hour and a half. When I got my bill, it was $ 5.28, and that included copies of two keys I had made while I was waiting for the work on my car to be finished. It was much less expensive than what I was initially anticipating!

Three words: Hot @ss Mess! The ONLY reason I bother with this location is because one of my banks is here as well.

Unfortunately this Walmart is super close to my house and I find myself there a lot. It is not very clean, workers there don’t seem to care, and I know I’ve never been greeted there… ever.
