I always saw this place full during community concerts so we decided to stop in. The staff was very nice and when I told her it was our first time in she went through the whole menu with us. Now this is a corner bar so the menu consisted of appetizers. However, the stuffed mushrooms were incredible! The double shot I ordered was a nice size and well worth the price. All in all, my husband and I had a good time and will definitely be back.

Cute little bar with friendly staff! I go in for lunch sometimes and get their jumbo hot dog. Takes about 10 minutes to cook, but is very yummy! Good vibes. I’m trying to make it out to their trivia night that they have every Wednesday nights at 6:30. I hear it is lots of fun, but you should arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a seat!

Walked here from Carson Valley Inn — visiting from California and found it on Unilocal — super cool, bar food, beer, wine and alcohol. Very nice people and great bar atmosphere — we will be back!

Great drinks, not too crowded, no kids, and cheap drinks! Highly recommended. Bartenders were friendly and attentive.

Im sorry, but this is only a bar, not a restaurant. Excellent service, but very limited food menu. Save the eating for a real restaurant with a real kitchen.

This is a fantastic neighborhood bar friendly staff and locally owned. A couple visits and everyone knows your name. The food is great and all done in a tiny clean opened kitchen area. The pizza is my favorite in town. The menu also includes shrimp coctail, meatball sandwich, pork sliders all really tasty.

Best service but keep in mind, there’s only one waitress. Tip her well and eat the pizzas!

Woo hoo, my 100th review for 2014! I saved The Corner Bar for this review. I love this place! In so many ways it reminds me of the friendly, local bar, most likely cause it is exactly that. I’m not sure how we found this place but it has been our family stop for special occasions. The staff and customers are so friendly and welcoming. You truly get to know the people if you take the time to listen. The drinks are well worth the cost, some of the best drinks I’ve ever had. They have amazing pizza, I mean AMAZING! This is everything you can ask for from a local bar, I love it!

Corner Bar: Friday Night, August 29, 2014, 4:30PM It’s been a long time, but I’m back, and the place has changed a lot since I’ve been away. First, it’s crowded as we arrive. The temperature outside is in the mid 80’s and there are two nice tables outside(varnished rustic log looking things) and there both full of people. There’s a few folks seated on a bench near the door, and there are probably another 20 people inside, and only one empty table. These details are important to know since they impact the next point. Second, there is a lot of help, and the help is attentive. My second beer was arriving prior to the conclusion of my first, and I like that. Third, there was a nice variety of options. There were five beers on tap, and the ice box was full of wide variety of others. Choices were available, and there was something for everybody. On this afternoon I enjoyed the Lagunitas IPA, the first time I’d had one, and it was good. Fourth, they’ve decorated the place with banners, and so it has a festive feel. This was complimented by some food that I kept seeing around me. I didn’t get to have any, nor did I see a menu, but it looked good. In my last review I suggested that you step next door and check out the art museum. I’d still suggest it, but the sad part is that it has now departed. The framing portion of the shop has moved to a location on 395, and so next door is now an empty shop. It’s sad. The last point I’d make is that on this particular day it looks like a lot of the people in the bar are regulars, but don’t let this scare you away. Everybody was nice, and the two guys I was with got several hugs, heck, they know people. I was not known, but they were nice to me anyway. What more do you want? Friendly, variety, some bits to eat, good company. Nice Place.

Been going here for a drink before the farmers market on Tuesdays. I have always had great service and the drinks are good. Tried the pizza and it was vary good. The crust was nice and crisp. We’ll be back for more.

PIZZA !!! Great little local place for pork slider specials and the best pizza in town. Believe me, we are picky about our pizza! They are cooked perfectly. In the summer you can sit outside and people watch during the farmer’s market and have a bite to eat and a drink. Good service and nice atmosphere. They have a nice selection of draught beers, and the bartender makes a great margarita, too. You might have to step inside to order the drinks, but that’s not a big deal. She will find you. Also in the winter, we sat inside at the bar and watched the snow pile up outside.(Couple of years ago.) Excellent little local place. Please take time to notice the architecture. They kept as much of the original bank building details as they could.

This place is great, very friendly and warm. You must have the meatball sliders. Great place to hang outside and have a few beers.
