The guys working at Second St. Deli are genuinely nice people. I’m always a little wary around these parts because I don’t fit in, but I was totally taken aback at how friendly the dude behind the counter was when I walked in. As someone who’s used to dealing with customers myself, I can tell when folks are being nice only because the job calls for it, but that’s not the case here. I don’t know how else to put it other than you need to stop by for yourself and experience the hospitality. I got the Madison Ave. sandwich, which features a specific hot turkey, bacon, and muenster cheese on a hero. I didn’t even notice the breakfast offerings until after I paid, and would go for those in the future, but this sandwich wasn’t half bad. It’s huge, and even though a large percentage of its mass comes from the bread itself, there was no shortage of ingredients found inside. Messy and salty, exactly as I imagined it. It’s not advertised up front, but my sandwich came with my choice of beverage too. I had a funny exchange with the guy about the drink, but I ended up with an iced tea to go with the sandwich. For about $ 8, I got good value, and would gladly return to first get breakfast sandwiches for lunch, but also to try other sandwiches and salads too later on. Most importantly, I’ll be back at Second St. Deli because I felt welcome and happy inside thanks to the people here.

Over priced and bland. Ordered a spinach and egg white wrap. I paid close to $ 8 for it so when it came out i was expecting it to be a decent size. I was able to get maybe 7 – 8 bites out of this small tasteless item. I will never go back!

Ordered a grilled chicken, «fresh“mozzarella with red peppers wrap from here … Very unhappy. It was dried out and gross. I won’t be coming back here ever again.

What can I say? Simply put courteous service. Delicious breakfast items. For lunch the have a great selection of heroes, particularly the Abbey Road. Pastrami and corned beef blend together on the delicious bread they get. Billy and his staff are A-1 all around. Do not skip this place. If you do, you’ll miss a dining experience far above your usual deli.

I’ve been going to Second Street for about a year now and I believe they deserve 4 stars. Good food and good lunch service. The folks behind the counter are very friendly and are very clean. I enjoy going there for lunch and reading a book.

at work, i’m now known to be the 2nd street deli fan. after i discovered their menu in the menu drawer, i gave it a shot and have been ordering at least once a week. first of all, they are SUPER polite on the phone. that is rare nowadays. the food is extremely consistent. my favorite thing so far is the turkey pizza burger. i asked for a side salad and for a meager price, received what was a small sized garden salad, definitely good for 2 people. i was pleasantly surprised. their specialty wraps are just great, i had a roast beef wrap with fried onions and i was eating slowly to savor it. they also deliver on sundays which is a blessing for us. no complaints from anyone at work(and that’s rare, too), they are a wonderful deli!

My coworkers and I ordered lunch from Second St. Deli the other day after an offer of a 10% discount from«John» sealed the deal. We were pretty happy with our food, though the speed at which our order was fulfilled and delivered probably could have been a tad better. Not sure if the special 10% discount from John had anything to do with it(if he offered it to our entire building and other neighbors!). I had the Spicy Chicken Salad Panini, and I must say it was interesting… good interesting. I think we voted to keep Second St. Deli on our list of regular lunch places :)
