Allen Edmonds

One star is for the gentleman who helped me in the store. Never considered spending $ 200 on a casual pair of shoes. I had heard such good things about the brand and wanted to try a reasonable prices pair first.
They lasted about 6 weeks before the sole started to separate in one shoe. Worn in regular conditions and not exposed to rain or harsh elements.
If you spend BMW prices on a pair of shoes, you expect BMW level service. That did not happen. More like Yugo service levels. First they told me I did not buy them from Allen Edmonds even after providing the receipt. Then they told me they were replacing them and the new shoes were being shipped. I asked for the tracking number, and only then I was told they were actually backordered for several weeks.
I asked for a refund and will be holding my breath until it is credited to my account. Never once did this company apologize for their product deficiencies.
My recommendation — stay away from Allen Edmonds. Not what they say they are.

Recently stopped in to inquire about a pair of MacNeils I received as a gift that were too narrow, and the associate was wonderful enough to offer free stretching. He helped me save a beautiful pair of shoes I thought I’d have to sell. No up selling on products or services. Very pleased.
