Cake Box

First off, their cake will probably be the best cake you’ve ever eaten. We only had a couple of pieces of cake left over for my daughter’s 2^nd birthday party *the one with the relatives), so we decided to get some expensive Nadia Cupcakes (which won Cupcake Wars) in addition to the cake. The cake from Cake Box bakery was much preferred over the Nadia cupcakes. We still have some cupcakes left over but the cake is long gone.
But the taste isn’t the best part of Cake Box’s cakes. They are unbelievably beautiful! My 5 year old daughter couldn’t decide whether to have Darth Vader or Sophia the First on her cake (she has diverse tastes). So I asked Cake Box bakery to incorporate both. I fully expected the resulting cake to look kind of silly. Instead, it was easily the most amazing looking cake I’ve ever seen. They were somehow to incorporate both images and just make it work together along with the birthday greeting. It was truly a work of art. I’ve included a picture of the cake on Cake Box’s photos, so you can see what I mean. I also took a picture of the cake and sharedit on my Facebook page, and received the most likes I’ve ever received (including when my children were born). Here are some of the comments:

As you see my Unilocal profile, I usually don’t spend a lot of my time writing reviews, but after I got this reaction, I had to sit down and write something nice.
I feel bad that when I got married I didn’t know of Cake Box Bakery and I got married out of state, so I didn’t have the opportunity for them to do my wedding cake, because I’m certain it would have been memorable.
If you are looking for a place to make you a cake for your next big occasion, stop right here, you’ve found it. These guys are the best. Not sure how their prices compare to their competitors, but if they are a couple of dollars extra, it is well worth the cost because they are a cut above everyone else.

I had the most amazing customer experience last week. I had 1 day to get a little wedding cake for my wedding vow ceremony which was very, very last minute. I just started a new job and moved into a new apartment so I didn’t have time to order a cake. So on the day I was supposed to say my vows, I Unilocaled the nearest bakery and went to Cake Box. The cake maker/​decorator was able to pretty up a beautiful cake for me in 5 minutes or so!!! Amazing service! Miracle workers!

I heard they make awesome cakes. I went in today to get a small treat and there weren’t a lot of selection in the cookies or cupcakes area. I picked out the Heath cupcakes in the fridge. They were pretty good!

This has got to be one of the best family own bakery on all Minnesota if not the entire Midwest. If you have not tried their cream cheese cakes, you are missing out big time. They really do know how to make cakes.

This is such a great family owned bakery. They created my wedding cake per my specifications. It was perfect. The strawberry cream cheese filling is delicious. They also make birthday cakes and cupcakes and have cupcakes available for immediate purchase. Yum!

A tiny bakery in what looks to be a withering strip mall, this place is the highlight. I ordered a ¼ sheet cake with a special birthday message for a friend. The yellow cake was great and the white frosting was not too heavy or sweet. I am typically a person that scrapes the frosting off bakery cakes because it gets to be too much, so I appreciated the lightness.
I brought my suggested design in late on a Friday and they had it ready for me the following Sat. Afternoon. The one bummer is they quoted me a price on the phone, but then ended up charging me more once I was there in person.
Regular ¼ sheet cakes run about $ 24 with additional $ 6-​$ 12 for special designs. You can pick your colors and they will work with you to make it great.

Our wedding cake was amazing. We were so pleased with the service that the week before my wedding I returned to book a special grooms cake — a Vikings helmet. Both cakes were amazing and delicious. We will return here for all of our cakes. I’m glad someone told us about them or we might have never found them!
