Now I only order the sesame chicken and the spring rolls, but I have zero complaints about this place. The service always seems solid and friendly and the sesame chicken is bordering the upper tier in the twin cities. My friend is a phở connoisseur, and he always leaves happy. Give it a try!

I can only comment on the Bun. I love it and I can never seem to convince myself to try anything else.

Cali’s is my favorite post yoga or anytime meal! They serious have the best phở in NE area. The seafood phở will melt your heart and mouth on a cold winter day!

Every time I order out of desperation for Vietnamese food, I forget how TERRIBLE the food is. The eggroll filling was spoiled and the noodles were all soggy and almost minced!!! I have to put a reminder to never order from here! I rather save my MONEY!

I hate to leave a bad review, but unavoidable. Food tastes like soap. Not cilantro taste, which some describe as soap, but like there was harsh cleanser contaminating the food.

After recently moving to the area. I’ve ordered the lemon grass chicken several times.((bam fantastic)). The wanton soup is fantastic.. But i was disappointed /actually disgusted by the egg rolls tonight. Greasy and gooey.. Dripping with grease and half stuffed. Delivery is super fast. Kick it up about 10 notches on the egg rolls please.

I stopped by Cali’s for a quick lunch. I was hungry, Phở always hits the spot, and with mixed reviews I decided to give it a try and decide for myself. The service was excellent, and my Phở arrived quickly. I squeezed the lime(I usually ask for extra) added the toppings and took my first sip. it was the worst Phở I have ever had. It was sweet, not a hint of sweetness, no, cloyingly sweet! Even with extra lime and sriracha I wasn’t able ot mask the sweet flavor. I tried to eat the noodles, and kept getting some dried out bites. I was hugely disappointed by it, and needless to say, I’ll never go back there again for Phở.

I didn’t think there was such a thing as bad Chinese/Vietnamese food, and then I ordered food from Cali’s. My food showed up about 20 minutes after ordering, which was the only thing this place had going for it. The food was heavily salted without having much other flavor and none of the ingredients seemed fresh(which probably explains why my food was delivered so quickly). Very disappointing; would never order from again.

MSG use is high and yet not much for flavor. I love that they deliver, large portions, and are courteous, but the quality of the food isn’t great. Too bad.

This place sucks! My boyfriend ordered chicken lo mein and I ordered mock duck lo mein. Sour and extremely disappointing!!! Both of our dishes mostly consisted of rock hard cabbage and onion bits. My boyfriend is in the bathroom throwing up as I type this. DONOTEATHERE unless you like sour food, rock hard cabbage bits, and throwing up after a few bites of food. Thanks for nothing.

Simple, friendly, inexpensive, tasty. That’s how I would sum up my only visit(so far). I had the Sautéed Lemongrass and Curry Chicken which was plentiful and flavorful. I love little Mom & Pop places like this; it helps stretch the dining out budget.

Amazing pad thai! Best in town. Along with many other of their dishes. Im a big noodle person so i recently tried the singapore noodles and was not disappointed! If you live in NE and like Vietnamese i would check this cute little place out.

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. To start, we waited nearly half an hour for two orders of takeout phở. They lost our order and weren’t at all apologetic when they finally gave it to us. Now, to the phở. It was bad. The broth was nearly clear and basically flavorless. For some reason, iceberg lettuce and raw onions accounted for 1⁄3 of the ingredients. These are not standard ingredients and added nothing to the soup. I honestly could not have been more disappointed by the meal. The only thing that made it semi edible was nearly a tablespoon of sriracha. Phở is supposed to be the best soup in the world, not the disappointment we got from Cali’s. Don’t go here.

Blah. I want to love this place as it’s in my neighborhood, but the food is made without love — sometimes it’s okay, but most it’s just so average to below average that you wonder why you bothered. The wings are greasy, the fried rice is just ok. The egg foo yong is not bad, actually, and the hot and sour soup is okay. Portions are large and cheap. I truly don’t understand how anyone could give this place five stars. Sincerely. Because of its location, we probably go/pick up food once a month and it’s always«well, it was that or McDonald’s» just because we’re worn out by whatever we’re doing. Can’t really recommend it, especially when there are so many truly good Vietnamese restaurants in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Huge fan of their chicken fried rice. Theirs quickly became the bar at which all other restaurants were judged. Basic, sure, but it’s important to get the easy staples right. Big portions, and big, quality cuts of chicken breast. And somehow it’s even great reheated as leftovers. It’s magic. I’ve also tried a variety of their bubble tea flavors, all great. The lunch specials are reasonably priced. They’re also really quick in-store or takeout.

Meh, Cali’s is a place I go to occasionally, not enough to say often, but I’ve been there a few times in the past few months. The friend rice is decent, and the portions are large. The service is friendly and the food comes fast. Plus, the prices are right on point. However, some of the food on the menu is sub-par. I would steer away from the friend chicken wings, and the cream cheese wontons. The plain fried rice that comes with certain entrée choices is also very sub par and I would avoid at all costs. The wontons are overy greasy as are the egg rolls(although still relatively tasty). I don’t know how else to sum up Cali’s other than an ok experience. I’ll probably go back for the house fried rice, but it isn’t an overall solid menu.

The veggie phở was sooo good!!! I can’t comment on the rest of their menu though since that’s all I had. This place was clean & the people were super nice! I even showed up 5 minutes after closing to get my food & they were really nice about it. Im def going back to try out more!

I’ve been here a few times now to have their veggie fried rice and egg rolls(I’m one of those weirdos who likes to eat a variety of side-type food vs. entrees). The fried rice is delicious and bursting with veggies and egg and perfectly fried up. The egg rolls are a bit dark/burnt(?) but they are DELICIOUS and make me want to give up my future children for ADOPTION to VIETNAM. That’s how good they are. I can’t speak to anything else they have here, and also I hate bubble tea, so this is as far as I can take you in our review journey!

Disappointing. I want to like this place, I really do. The location is amazing, and who doesn’t love Vietnamese food? Well, turns out the phở is bad, the pad thai is bad, and the egg rolls are bad too. Do yourself a favor and go to eat street instead.

We ordered hot and sour soup, spring rolls, and a lo mein-ish dish. Everything was pretty mediocre. I was disappointed in the noodles — they just didn’t have any flavor. The spring rolls were all lettuce and zero taste. We ordered take out and the service was fast and super friendly. The total was pretty cheap too. This place is in my neighborhood, but every time I drive by, it’s empty. I’ll probably try them again out of convenience, but if my next meal doesn’t have any flavor, I’m giving up.
