Took over 2 hours to get to my house and I ordered it around 2:30 so there wasn’t really a rush going on. The food ok but the fact that I had to wait two hours for my food to arrive is ridiculous. I would rather order somewhere else

I am an ex employee and these folks were really good to me. The food was really good too. I thought I would mention that a customer’s credit card info is returned to them along with their order. There was never a problem with it when I worked there. Give it a try and tip your service worker!:) They are very decent people with a pretty solid product.

Ordered delivery right before close. Food was fresh and hot. Thankful they accommodated a late night delivery with such delicious, fresh cooked food! The shrimp and veggie lo mein were awesome! The shrimp egg rolls were equally as awesome! The cream cheese wontons were the best! We will definitely be frequenting this place!

Very good food! I typically get orange chicken along with fried wontons or steamed dumplings, and the orange chicken is particularly good in that it has orange peals in the sauce, making it taste significantly more fresh than typical orange chicken. The delivery is often somewhat slow, however.

Sweet and Sour chicken is super crispy even when delivered and the Donuts are INSANELY good. Wontons are prime. Delivery drivers are very friendly and generally fast. What else do you need?

I’ve had it today. After ordering from this place for 3 times out of desperation, this place definitely won’t get my service again after today. Hot and sour soup was like a plain thick broth with random vegetables in it(carrot slices and lettuce? I’ve never had that in my hot and sour soup before). Don’t be fooled by the number of items on their menu either. I can assure you that the majority of their«stir fries» will be soaked/slimy in some sweet and sour sauce. If you want a noodle dish, do NOT order chow mein. When I placed the order, I was assured that the dish would come with fried noodles but apparently, the woman on the phone took it literally and gave me the crunchy kind that you sprinkle on top of your salad. The dish itself also turned out to be some gooey gravy sauce on top of rice. Needless to say, I couldn’t make myself finish it or think about ever ordering from them again. Ugh.

We were looking for Chinese delivery in South Mpls and found China Wok. We ordered the Sesame Chicken and Beef with broccoli platters. The food was delivered in less than 40 minutes and we are just east of Lake Nokomis. It was hot, fresh and delicious! Not greasy. The egg rolls were crisp and tasty. The driver was friendly and we will order again! Also, don’t forget the naughty fried donuts… they were awesome!

Don’t take the three stars the wrong way. My girlfriend and I were looking for some standard, cheap, large-portioned Chinese takeout one night, so we decided to try China Wok. We were not disappointed. Toss in the fact they have online ordering and this is my new go-to for some quick, cheap, decent Chinese food. The menu is extensive, and ordering online was rather slick and very simple. The food just simply hit the spot. It was tasitly average and in no way is that meant negatively. The cheese wontons were what you’d find at a buffet-style Chinese joint. The veggie rolls were pretty decent(2.40 for 2). The egg rolls are classic and cheap($ 1) My girlfriend ordered the chicken low mein combo and I went with my favorite, General Tso’s chicken. We got exactly what we expected: a large portion of both main dish and fried rice with an ample portion of sauces. Both combos were under $ 10. The chicken pieces were large and tender and the sauces were adequately spiced. I also added a small order of sweet and sour chicken($ 5), which was run of the mill and exactly what I wanted. Bottom line: I’d recommend China Wok to anyone looking for loads of classic, standard, Americanized Chinese food without breaking the bank.

My go to spot for Chinese delivery. Pretty much any place can make a decent lo mein or fried rice, but the reason I keep coming back are the meat wontons. I’ve only found one other place in Minneapolis that has better wontons, but their food wasn’t as good as here. Also, I like that when I order my food spicy, it actually comes spicy. You would be surprised how many places don’t up the spice when you request it.

This place has the slowest delivery ever. Placed an order online and it took over an hour and a half to arrive. This is not the first time this has happened before. They have also forgotten my order as well. It’s a shame because the food is actually quite good. But they need to get another delivery driver or something because this is ridiculous.

My husband and I ordered from here not too long ago and we absolutely loved it. We have had some really bad experiences with other Chinese delivery places so this place was a breath of fresh air for us. I must say that unless you are ordering pizza for delivery that food, no matter what kind it is, is never as good as if you were to get it straight from the kitchen to the table, especially fried food. So for you folks complaining about the soggy egg rolls I suggest that you get off your couches and actually go out. That aside we both got combination platters and loved them. The cream cheese wontons were great as well, crunchy and hot:) We will be ordering from here for now on and hopefully it’s great every time.

A group of us has been eating dinner weekly at this restaurant and we’ve had nothing but good food. And the prices are unbelievably low, especially for shrimp dishes. Go for it!

Very bad for chinese food delivery standards, top 3 worst out of 50 or so that I’ve had. On the plus side our order arrived, no bathroom issues, and no credit card issues yet though were keeping an I eye out for it(full credit card number is printed on the receipt).

We ordered delivery, and it took 50 minutes… which is fine if the food is good, but it really isn’t. The sesame chicken was too sweet, and my boyfriend is re-frying the underdone potstickers as I type this. Everything else was bland. Even among Americanized Chinese delivery places who haven’t upped their game since the 90s, this is below average. The search for quality Chinese delivery continues! EDIT: Like these other reviewers, my order also came with a full printout that included my credit card information. That is shady as hell.

I wanted to like this place, mostly because I am looking for a local Chinese delivery place to keep in our rotation. And honestly, I didn’t even have very high expectations at all — just wanted some generic, greasy, Americanized Chinese food… however, I am sorry to say that even that low bar was unmet… My experience: we’d been at a wedding all weekend and were far too depleted to make anything ourselves, so we decided to give China Wok a shot. We found them online but also have received a menu in our mailbox before. Online delivering was a breeze and I was able to find vegetarian options(of which I tried: General Tso’s tofu, vegetarian fried rice to share, vegetarian eggrolls to share) while my guy chose the Black Pepper Chicken. Our order arrived in 30 – 45 minutes and the delivery driver was friendly and grateful for the tip. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, I was put-off by the fact that the entire credit card number shows up on the order form/print-out. The driver was kind enough to point that out and let me know that I should destroy it, but it still seems like an issue they need to correct for security(and customer-perceived safety) purposes. That being said, I doubt I’ll be ordering again anyway… the food was just not good. The sauce on my tofu was extremely watered down and had no flavor, the fried tofu cubes themselves had a very bizarre marshmallowy texture, like the watered down sauce had been absorbed by the batter and caused the chunks of tofu to bloat… which to be honest wasn’t a terrible mouth experience, but it was definitely unexpected. I’ve never had tofu like that — and I eat a lot of tofu. The broccoli in my dish tasted completely off(to the point that I couldn’t eat it… and I’d requested EXTRA broccoli because I’m a broccoli fiend), the eggrolls were fine I suppose — but cold and mostly forgettable — and my guy hardly took three bites of his chicken before he called it quits. The vegetable fried rice was decent, and the broccoli in that actually tasted good — unlike the broccoli in my main dish. They also gave a great assortment of sauce packets including a hot sauce, duck sauce, spicy mustard, soy sauce, etc. The fried rice, low price/portion size ratio, and sauce packets are what won them 2 stars instead of one. Take from that what you will.

Yesterday I walked into this place and ordered for hot and spicy chicken for take away and when I came home and tasted the food it was so sweet that I couldn’t eat all of it and there was no spicy factor in any part of food and egg roll was so cool as it was taken out of refrigerator… gave two stars only for friendly way they treat you when u walk in… never ever will be going again here

The food was alright. However, the delivery took over an hour, and when we received it, it also came with a sheet that had my entire credit card information printed on it: Name, credit card number, exp. date, and security code. This is very insecure and not acceptable for this information to be stored as plain text. Beware of ordering with credit card.

I consider Chinese food to be a culinary institution, loaded with salt and calories, Hooraay for the moribund food lover. The scene Jen J. Describes is freakish but it is what makes this little spot unique. Homey little place, awesomely cooked Chow Mein. Love their Szechuan & Hunan dishes, but my personal favorites are the Chicken Rice Soup and General Tso’s Chicken. I love eating in every time I am here rather than taking out, maybe it has something to do with the fact«Cops» is always on on the little 17In «tee-vee». There is Something amusing about other people’s social shortcomings on «tee-vee»
