Denny’s

Food was okay, but the service was incredibly slow. The employees seemed to have better things to do. I understand that we were eating a late dinner, but we were there for over an hour and a half, and besides a couple of other tables, the restaurant was mostly empty.

I have dined at this place three times. The second time was for the benefit of the doubt, and the third time was because my family insisted that night. This is not the greatest restaurant that I have ever dined. This place has a couple good qualities; however the rest of it ranges from average to poor.
To their benefit, the food is delicious. They appear to have cooks who know how to do their jobs well. The plates are always served to me fresh and hot. However, I am disappointed with the plate sizes compared to other Denny’s where I have been. This Denny’s serves smaller portions than what I am used to. Their small plates do not always fill me up.
Regarding cleanliness and order, I have had to request that the waiter send somebody to clean my table before I sit. I have also seen leftover newspapers cluttered in many other tables. Some tables are clean, and some aren’t. I have dined here on their slow time, and the same thing still applied. The employees need to keep a better eye on the cleanliness and order.
The customer service ranges between average to fair. I have only seen one employee who was outstanding at customer service. The remainder of them, I feel like they take my order and leave immediately, nothing else. Besides that, they do not say much more. It is enough for me to get the vibe that they do not want to be there. I have not had any downright rude service here, but the over customer service needs a lot of work.
When I am in the area and need some food, I will likely avoid this place in the future. Instead, I would recommend the Perkins by Riverside. Their menu is similar, but their overall quality is much better.

Let me just say one thing, bring sanitizer.
Not just for your hands, for your whole body. This place is a PIT. Seriously, this Denny’s has really put some of the seediest, dirtiest dive bars in the cities to shame.
I wish I could comment on the food or service, but a coil from the seat I was sitting in was driving into my butt and I couldn’t stomach the idea of eating in a place with puke and grease stained carpets, among about 13 other appetite suppressing issues… so we paid for our 1 coffee and 1 shake, then left.

I’ve been here twice and both time service was terrible. We were there the first time for breakfast and ended up waiting an hour for pancakes. The second time I was sitting next to people who didn’t know how to handle their kids in public so I asked to move. It was at least a half hour before I was checked on after I moved… I’m not normally one to complain but this place is terrible

Most terrible service. Though I appreciate that the waiters are always friendly it’s remarkable how long you have to wait for everything! On 2 occassions I have had to walk to the back to fond someone to seat me. On borh occassions I’ve had to track down a waitress to take my order though the food does come out quickly. Then you have to find someone to pay. The credit machine is sketchy snd they only post that it’s down inside by register– after you’ve eaten. Luckily I had cash– it should be a safe assumption that Denny’s takes credit cards. Also there is no lot so you pretty much have to park in grocery store lot. Food is fine– typical Denny’s diner food and is the best part of the place. If only they could step up their game wirh service.

Ok so the food here… really good actually. Now onto the other things that totally overshadow the good food.
This place is really dirty. Like old dirty. The managers door is covered in dirty fingerprints the window there too. The corners of walls and walls them selves are actually black! Uhm ew. As i was sitting waiting for our food, which I ordered from sticky, actually food covered menus; I was getting more and more nervous. What does the kitchen look like??? I still dont know. The food came and we were pleasantly surprised.
All-​in-​all this place really needs a bucket of water and some soap.

Denny’s seem to be disappearing every where, making some happy. Some sad. I am saddened. You just can’t beat the chocolate chip pancakes with a strawberry shake.
