Environment was exciting and welcoming! The food was amazing, the only thing I did not care for was the bathroom maintenance! Someone obviously washed their hair in the sink, it was gross! But the food was great and our waitress was awesome!

Joy is the best server ever! So pleasant and very attentive. I am addicted to Don Pablos. Basically because I love chips & salsa.

Lunch fajitas were out quick, complimentary chips and salsa were served immediately. Service at the bar area was fast and efficient

Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress was aloof with no personality, got our order wrong and we were charged for an appetizer we didn’t order when my daughter simply asked for a side of guacamole and the waitress just assumed we wanted the whole guacamole appetizer. No apologies when we pointed it out she simply just walked away. The manager stopped to see what was wrong after a comment from my husband as the manager had been walking by. He asked us then the waitress stopped at our table and he simply walked away without even waiting for our response. Will never go here again.

Worst experience ever! Food was bland and staff incompetent. I asked for a margarita on the rocks and was given a blended drink instead, however our waiter was nowhere to be found so I could get the drink I asked for. My sister in law ordered a non alcoholic margarita and was given a regular margarita(good thing she isn’t allergic to alcohol) I complained to the manager and he apologized told me he’d take care of her meal which he did not! He only took the drink off the bill. Asked for a box to take leftovers home and while in the bathroom they took the food from the table Will never go back here, overpriced bad food…

* Welcome Experience — Ordinary Was a short wait. Was seated by terse, disinterested staff. * Establishment — Unpleasant It’s like a Mexican chuck-e-cheese pizza time theater with the loud obnoxious atmosphere you’d expect from an extreme«tequila» party restaurant. Gaudy brand logos are plastered everywhere. It’s tawdry and dirty and loud and tired. * Service — Blatantly Bad I don’t really even need to share details here. A smarmy, hates-his-job person tended to our table. His body language told us that everything was a chore. Zzzzzzzzzz. * Food Quantity /Quality /Presentation — Blatantly Bad Half of the chips were slightly discolored and obviously old. The salsa tastes like pace picante sauce. I ordered the«sizzling fajita salad». This comes in two parts. A hot cast iron pan with sautéed protein and veg sizzling and a bowl of greens. The bowl of greens were wilted and dry and brown around the edges, definitely inedible. The«sizzling fajita» skillet was a portion of previously frozen processed chicken breast with some ordinary sautéed vegetables. Since the greens were inedible I sent them back and just ate the contents of the skillet. A manager came to the table to apologize and they removed the entrée from the bill. * What I’ll remember Absolutely nothing. Zzzzzzzzz. * What I can’t wait to forget Don Pablo’s! Awful!

How can a chain like Don Pablos no longer offer a make or own, or tabke side prepared guacamole and instead charge $ 5 for a ½ cup of slop squeezed out of I presume was a Sysco mass produced restaurant supply truck 5 gallon bag of guacamole prepared in iowa? Disgusting and a rip off. …

Conveniently located in a shopping plaza so plenty of parking. I liked that they offer«quick«options for lunch hours and there are several options to chose from. I ordered the Tamale with rice. It was good but thought the Tamale was too thick to appreciate the meat. It didn’t take long to order or to get my food.

I won’t apologize for it, I love this place. I like their food and it’s convenient. I’m sure my BFF is sick of it, in fact I’m surprised she even asks where I want to go any more when I ask if she wants to go get a bite. I want to be more inspired and try some new place, I really do. But when I’m hungry and under pressure I forget every place I intend on trying and just say«Could we go to Don Pablo’s again?». She’s a good sport. My current favorite is their combo platter. For $ 9.95 you can choose two items with beans and rice and your choice of a side item. You can add another entrée item for $ 1 more which makes taking leftovers home easy. I always get two cheese chili rellenos(my favorite) and usually a chicken enchilada. They have probably 20 or so items you can choose your 2 or 3 from. I skip the rice and beans and sub all corn cake sweet bread or whatever you call it because I can’t get enough of that stuff. The salsa that comes with the free chips is pretty bland, so I usually order some queso blanco or quac to go along with them. Then after dinner if I’ve managed to save room I order some sopapillas. That rum butter sauce they are covered with is the best. I have no shame and will literally lick the extra off the plate. Hey, I’m not totally gauche though, I do use my finger. :p

You start out with an individual salsa, not spicy so I ate the whole thing, and was diving into someone elses. I got the Tejas. A couple of enchiladas, a hard shell beef taco, rice, and my chosen side was Mexican mashed potatoes. I liked the potatoes the best. The rest was pretty generic. I went with a group of 10 after a book club meeting. This is a great spot for the meeting after the meeting. The service was excellent, and she handles crowds well.

This was better than expected! Usually I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants because their stuff can get pretty mediocre because they try to appeal to the masses. However, this was pretty good. I have been to this one before and we were in the area so we stopped in for dinner. It was busy but we were able to snag a seat in the bar area so we returned the pager and didn’t have to wait. I was trying to keep it pretty healthy so I ordered the deluxe fajitas, but without oil, and I was able to sub steamed veggies for the refried beans. The fajitas were great, full of flavor, and came with chicken, steak, shrimp, and pork, which was awesome. He got the deluxe enchiladas, and I tried them and they were good, but not as good as mine. Ha. My skinny margarita was good but not very strong. The salsa that came with the chips was actually really good, and we got a side of jalapenos, which was a nice touch. Service was okay. She seemed like she was trying a little too hard, and there were a couple errors, like she brought out guac even though I told her no guac, and then she said, ok, well you can have it anyways, it’s not on the bill, but then it was on the bill so we had to take care of that. Otherwise the food was good and portions were huge so there were leftovers, which is always nice.

We love don Pablo’s! The food is always great, delicious and affordable! On Wednesdays it’s $ 9.99 fajitas! The waitresses or waiters are a hit or miss. This isn’t the place to eat burgers or a steak hence why you order the Mexican dishes only.

I won’t write a full review. They seemed like nice people, so I’d feel bad just piling on. Still, it was sad and I want to say something now in case I don’t make it through the night. My wife had the fajitas. I ordered a Texas burger. She’s a kind woman, so she simply asked me to pass the salt. I took a bite, but I still couldn’t tell you what kind of meat it was. Not by taste, anyway. My burger was interesting. As near as I can tell, it was formed by pressing together unseasoned, dry taco meat, so if you poked it with a fork, you could just break off crumbley bits to dip into the ketchup — which was required to get it down. I ate a few seasoned fries, though I failed to taste any actual seasoning. Desert. Sopaipilla. What could go wrong? They were supposed to come with dipping sauce, but it had been poured on top instead. I think this was because they were so soggy and floppy that you’d never have been able to actually dip them. Only about half the dough seemed cooked. This was apparently the last straw for my wife. She returned them and had them taken off the bill. Never saw her do that before. I think the word«inedible» was used. Service was very good for an(inexplicably) crowded afternoon. I’d fault the cook if I thought he had adequate ingredients On second thought, I’ll fault him after all.

My son turned 3… his favorite food is rice and beans so where did we go for dinner… Don Pabablios as he likes to say. We had a great time. Don Pablos is good Mexican food(notice I didn’t say great). You know what you are going to get… warm, fresh tortilla chips that come right out to your table with a good salsa. The food is above average for tex-mex in Minnesota and my margarita was the best I have had in a long time. It was a little noisy… but let’s be honest I expected that. Everyone got what they wanted and at the end of the meal my son got to wear a toddler sized sombrero as they wait staff sang happy birthday. All in all, a fun night.

Service was outstanding, but the food was outside standing-I found it horrible. If not for the wait staff service I would’ve given this a one. Two of us. One of us ordered the Vegetarian Fajitas(Portabella mushroom or «veggie«) and served with unlimited hot-fresh tortillas. + the Platos Fresco for the additional fresh veggies(avocado, tomatoes, onion, etc) This was okay, but not close to being over the top. I ordered the Texas Chicken Fried Steak w/french fries and charro beans. The meat was stringy, tasted rancid and was full of grease; so much grease the coating had been washed off in the cooking process. It was really bad, the worst meat ever served to me. The only saving grace was they comped the plate. We each ordered Margaritas which were ok, but a little on the sweet side. We will not be back.

The food came out looking like a plate I would make for myself at 3 am while extremely drunk, and it tasted… well it didn’t really taste like anything

I took my family here last night, service was not good, food was worse. Ordered dip, took 20 minutes to get it, fajitas where tasteless, and undercooked. They also brought a scalding hot plate out for a 18 month old child and set it right in front of him! When I told them the plate was really hot, the manager just walked away without a word!

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews but I go out of my way to come to Don Pablos for their vegetarian fajitas(Portabella mushroom or «veggie«) which are served with unlimited hot-fresh tortillas. I always get the optional«platos fresco«for the additional fresh veggies(avocado, tomatoes, onion, etc), and it’s more than enough food for two people. The service has always been good at this location, too. Promptly refilled drinks, never empty baskets of chips and salsa… nice people.

Can’t go wrong with Don Pablo’s. Their food is nothing amazing, but I go here a decent amount for happy hour and always end up needing«real food» with my margaritas, and I’ve never eaten anything I dislike here. Their jumbo margs are have price for happy hour. They’re not super strong, but they’re also not super sickly sweet like most cheap margaritas. Service has been friendly and prompt every time I’ve been here, and they keep you constantly supplied with chips and salsa.
